The MacGregor Hybrid 14 golf bag has a unique wear resistant and anti-slip fabric supporting and protecting the bag when on a trolley frame. Designed for maximum performance when carrying or using a trolley, the 4-point adjustable strap with protective cushioning and a durable, comfortable hip pad work together to maximise comfort whilst carrying the bag. First off, can I say that I absolutely love the design of the bag, the number of pockets is incredible and the thought that has gone in to the size, location and usage of each pocket is great.
However, having only used the bag around a dozen times since I bought it (I always carry, I don’t use it as a cart bag) I am afraid that I have to report 3 really annoying faults with the bag.
1) The scorecard pocket has very quickly frayed and is deteriorating rapidly.
2) The webbing that protects some of the club divider spaces has detached and pulls out when removing clubs which subsequently makes it difficult to replace the club.
3) By far the biggest problem is the stand legs; they don’t fully retract and the stand therefore catches on the back of my legs as I am walking.
Logged this with McGregor at 3pm Monday and they immediately offered to replace the bag, free of charge. Replacement bag arrived on Wednesday at 9:30am. Excellent service!
I was looking for the same bag without the legs as I have a pull trolley but they didn’t have it in the colour I wanted . I like that its so light the old bag I had was over thirty years old and was quite heavy. I haven’t used it yet but l’m out this weekend. The cover for the top is quite light and fragile looking don’t know if it will hold up. I might have to replace that with a better one in the next few weeks. Other than that it looks like a good deal.I like all the pockets and where the umbrella holder is, my old golf bag the umbrella keep sliding down and and catching on the ground.
Extremely light bag with plenty of pockets to hold your “stuff”. Nice large orifice to take a good sized water bottle, a zipped waterproof pocket and a generous pocket which takes plus sized phones. Shoulder straps have loads of adjustment making the bag fit comfortably on the back. Very happy with my purchase
An excellent golf bag that I’d recommend without hesitation. It is very solid and well made, and can be used as a carry bag (with stand) or on a trolley. I especially like the individual club silos, and there are plenty of pockets for everything you need on the course, including an umbrella pouch. The black and green detailing is very smart.
Easy to carry with plenty of pockets. Good winter bag.

Great bag i like carrying so it is ideal with enough storage compartments for all my things and for drink. Carry straps are comfortable. Like the individual compartment for the clubs.
So far no complaints, the bag sits better on its side on both my push trolley and my powerkaddy trolley, doesnt budge. Good value and looks good. I no longer use my Powekaddy Bag.
The legs start lower on the bag as opposed to a standard bag. Hence hybrid. It stands extremely well. Fits a cart equally as well.
Everything a bag should be. Light enough to carry, the straps are extremely comfortable, and yet large enough to have cavernous pockets, secure waterproof valuable pocket and phone pocket.
It looks really good.
Highly recommend. Really good value for what is essentially two bags. Carry or cart its a very very good bag.
