I like the principle of saving images to the device – I’ve added a memory card for more storage. It avoids the complications of software installation and compatibility issues. It’s easy to transfer the saved images to a PC/Laptop later.
Scanning film negatives is the easiest process as you can feed the film strips into the film holder without removing it from the scanner each time, which makes it a quick process. With slides it’s less easy to feed them through the slide holder. Removing it and removing / reloading a slide is really tedious. (The slide holder only hold one slide at a time.) This really needs to be better designed. Also, the slide holder will not accommodate the thicker plastic slide mounts, so you can’t scan them.
The menu options are good and the scan / save process is easy to use. I don’t use the in-built image correction, preferring to use software on my PC after uploading.
Overall, a decent film / slide scanner, but it does have deficiencies, as noted, which if resolved would make it so much better.

I got this for a good price and it was delivered promptly. A bit fiddly to start with, but once you get the hang of it you can scan quite quickly. I have only used it for 35mm slides so cannot comment on anything else. The machine has the ability to flip to a mirror image as well as to invert the picture. I connected it directly to my PC and it works a dream,. The carrier will not take the thick agfa slides, but handles cardboard and thin plastic-framed slides well

Husband bought as Christmas present, he forgot he’d bought one a few years ago for me, but looks every bit as good. But unfortunately had to return.

Easy to use and has speedy response to the scanning process,it took a few minutes to find out how the slide holders fitted ,and I am very pleased with this as I am able to get a lot of my old photos back to view at my leisure in a better format.

Easy to use and transfer images to SD card. I did find the some of my negatives could not travel through the holder and sometimes got stuck.
Don’t expect perfect picture, it mainly depends of state of your negatives/slides.
Maybe using software you could improve your images to a better standard.
Overall I got the images saved to now that’s all that maters for me.

Used this to transfer a load of slides on to my desktop. It was a bit fiddly at first an you had to transfer the slides one by one. But its a fair product for the price

Fabulous item. I found loads of photos that I previously lost on an old computer as I had thrown away originals but somehow still had negatives. Oh the memories
Fabulous item. Did I say that already? Well it really is.

It’s good. It’s fiddly using negative slides but that’s negative slides for you. Easy to operate. Easy to store away and very good photo quality output. Recommend this if you have loads of old slides to go through.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHave now scanned a few hundred colour 35mm slides and most come out fine. Image quality is good. Have not experimented with the available exposure adjustments. JPG file sizes are evenly spread between about 1.6 and 3.3 Megabytes. With slides that push easily through the slide tray it takes less than one minute per slide. This speed depends on how easy it is to extract the slides from their storage and return them afterwards. Built-in memory has space for about 40 slides. Attempts to scan more appear successful, but nothing is saved. So I put in a 16 Gigabyte SD card and it scans a whole box or slide tray without stopping.

Cardboard slides and thin plastic slides mostly go through the feeder without issue. Some slides seem to be slightly wider than the slot and so can be hard to push through.

Have many slides mounted in thicker plastic frames, some of which have thin glass on either side of the slide. These slides are about twice the thickness of the cardboard ones and so are too thick to push through. Tried loading the slide into the carrier and then pushing the loaded slide tray into the scanner, but it is still to thick. So have not been able to scan these slides easily. Have scanned a few by disassembling the slide and putting the developed film into the film scanner, but that takes a lond time per slide. Need to experiment further with how to scan these slides.

I am happy with my purchase.

This is a very easy product to use. I scanned slides, which were shot in the early 1960s and they digitised fine. I used the computer to do all the editing. Obviously such images will not match modern digitised photos, and anybody expecting that is just being silly. But being able to show the slides on an iPad or iMac makes this device very useful.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe product scanned different sizes of negatives, the results were great when you look at the price. It is allowing me to scan all my slides from 1974 in Hong Kong which makes a bright and colorful copy to save forever. It’s not hard to use either.

I did some research and ask customers whst they thought of this. It was mixed comments. Well im pleased with it. As good as you would expect from a scanner.

very simple to use and setup with a small profile, b&w is a breeze, colour sometimes needs a bit of tweaking, quality is good and a great speed / simplicity trade off

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe item was bought to transfer hundreds of 126 colour slides, some of which were taken in the mid 1960’s, but mainly of my time in the RAF Marine Branch, where I served in Northern Ireland on the RAF’s Flagship, HMAFV Seal for 18 months before the Unit Closed Down, after which I was based in the North of Scotland, with a couple of short periods on an island airbase off the coast off Oman. I’ve been asked to write about my time in the branch that had RAF servicemen who were fully trained as Sailors, and the slides have many shots that show the work we did afloat.
The item was quickly transferring the slide onto a SD Card, which will be added to the various chapters that the Military Museum I am working with would like for their archives on my life in the RAF.
