Scheda madre ottima, gestisce il mio 13900k in scioltezza. Anche durante gli scenari pi gravosi e prolungati con la cpu pi calda del mercato il funzionamento sempre esemplare, regolare senza alcun tipo di problema. Fantastico il supporto ddr4 che dopo aggiornamento bios riesce a far volare le mie ddr4 patriot viper steel fino @4000mhz cl16. Esteticamente essenziale e senza led, votata alla sostanza piuttosto che alla forma.
Pro:
– temperature vrm basse sotto 60 in full load
– antenne wifi
– aggiornamento bios senza installare l’hardware
– quantit pin fan header
– stabilit
– supporto bios e drivers
Contro:
– porte sata anteriori che non aiutano il cable management
– pulsante clear cmos reset assente
Per chi cerca un ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo e bada alla sostanza, quasta Msi un prodotto ottimo che se la batte con le top di gamma in quanto a prestazioni e stabilit.
Ma il vero punto di forza l’overclock delle ram: la scheda madre una volta aggiornato il bios,
supporta ben oltre le specifiche intel, permettendo di spremere al meglio le potenzialit di ogni tipo di modulo, caratteristica non da poco considerando che Asus con questo chipset molto meno tollerante oltre le specifiche di fabbrica.
Im Zuge des Umstieges auf Z790 und DDR5 wollte ich den Mainboard Hersteller wechseln da ich mit Gigabyte in letzter Zeit immer mehr Probleme hatte und sich ein Testweise gekauftes Gaming X nach kurzer Zeit verabschiedet hat.
Nach diversen vergleichen bin ich bei MSI gelandet da sie mir in der Preisklasse +300 das beste Gesamtpaket geboten haben.
Grundstzlich muss ich sagen, das Z790 Wifi Edge tut was es soll, DDR5 im 6000Mhz XMP Profil wurde sofort erkannt und luft problemlos, mein 12700k ebenso. Das Bios ist zwar etwas verschachtelter als das Gigabyte, dafr sind Funktionen wie resizable bar standardmig aktiviert. Auch die Treiberinstallation in Windows ist Easy. Dazu werden alle Treiber nochmal auf einem 32 GB USB Stick mitgeliefert.
Verarbeitung ist absolut wertig, das Board fhlt sich schwer und Hochwertig an, die Khlkrper sind schn gefrst und ansprechend lackiert. Anschlsse gibt es reichlich (alleine 3 ARGB Header) und alles ist gut platziert. Der einzige Kritikpunkt sind die Schnellverschlsse fr die M2 NVME SSDs, hier passte meine SSD nicht wie gewnscht und ich musste etwas fummeln.
Mein grter Kritikpunkt ist leider der Prei vom Board. Ich habe im Oktober 2023 360 bezahlt. Durch MSI Cashback gibt es 50 zurck, was das ganze verschmerzbar macht. Ich denke eine Grundstzliche UVP von 299 wre aber angemessener fr ein Board mit der gehobenen Standartausstattung.

Accoppiato con i7 13700kf.
Ha lo spazio standard per 3 SSD m.2 di 4 generazione con heatsink, quindi va rimosso se si ha una SSD con heatsink integrato, 3 SSD sata.
Supporta 4 RAM ddr5 a 6800mhz massimi in overclock.
Supporta ARGB.
Esteticamente mi piace molto, ha led a sinistra sotto il dissipatore e sotto all heatsink delle ssd.
Per quanto riguardo gli ingressi di periferiche ha 4 USB 3.2, 2 USB 3.2 di 2 gen, l’attacco per le antenne wiif presenti nella scatola, 1 LAN di 1g e uno da 2g e i soliti ingressi audio oltre ad un HDMI se si ha processore con scheda video integrata.
In pi un bottone per il bios.
L’unico difetto che sembra poco imballata considerando la fragilit dei pin.
Infine il prezzo ottimo, tra le z790 pi economica ma ha ottime prestazioni.
Ogni tanto in sconto, quindi se non si va di fretta meglio aspettare un po’.
La gamme MEG d’MSI est vendue comme du haut-de-gamme, et vous savez-quoi ? C’est le cas.
Si le modle MSI Z790 GODLIKE est hors-de-prix (deux fois plus cher que ce modle pour un cran en plus), ce modle MSI Z790 ACE est juste parfait !
Les voyants sur la carte-mre sont trs pratiques, surtout celui qui permet d’afficher en temps relle la temprature du CPU (Qui m’a permis de dtecter rapidement un watercooling dfectueux dans ma config).
Il y a bien assez de ports USB pour votre souris, claviers, casques l’arrire.
Le RGB est trs sympa bien que gadget on doit l’avouer, et les supports pour disques du M2 trs bien penss.
Un gros point fort aussi sur la wifi 6E et le bluetooth 5.3 prsents nativement sur la carte ! Il y a juste brancher l’antenne Wifi MSI fournie avec, et vous voilez avec le nec plus ultra ! Je capte 250Mbp/s avec en Wifi, bien assez pour toutes vos activits gaming et bureautique.
Je recommande la carte-mre sans hsitation !

Ich habe mir das Mainboard fr meinen neuen Gaming PC mit einem 13700k gekauft.
Mir war es wichtig, dass ich vier M.2 Slots und Wifi6 an Bord habe, welches dieses Mainboard erfllt.
Generell kann man sich ber die Menge und die Vielfalt der Anschlsse beim Z790 Tomahawk berhaupt nicht beschweren.
Ganz anders sieht es bei den Debug LEDs aus. Diese leuchten (auch bei einem funktionierenden Start) Lichterloh und helfen nicht wirklich bei der Problembehandlung. Mein zuerst erworbener RAM wollte nicht so richtig, jedoch hatte hier die CPU LED geleuchtet und nicht die vom RAM. Fairerweise muss man hier auch sagen, dass der RAM nicht in der Kompabilittsliste enthalten war vom Mainboard.
Das Flashen des BIOS ber einen USB Stick hat jedoch super funktioniert, auch ohne eingebaute CPU und RAM.
Ansonsten ist es ein grundsolides Mainboard und fr den Preis kann man fr ein z790 Chipset nicht viel falsch machen.
Trs belle carte mre, sobre, associe un i5 13600k, 32Go DDR5 6400 et une Geforce 3070.
Tout fonctionne parfaitement, et bien plus rapidement que sur ma Z97 Gaming 5, qui commenait dater un peu… L’installation s’est droule trs facilement, la prsence d’une cl USB avec tous les drivers dessus est une agrable surprise laquelle je ne m’attendais pas ! Ca fait gagner pas mal de temps l’installation.
Le panneau arrire est complet.
Le seul dfaut pour moi tait le prix que je trouvais un peu lev, mais la carte tait trs bien value et compatible DDR5. La carte a baiss de 40 quelques jours aprs mon achat, c’est bien plus juste.
Questa la mia terza motherboard MSI, provengo dalla mia primissima Z97 gaming 5 con i7 4790k, per poi passare da una Z370 gaming M5 che ha ospitato dapprima il 9700k e poi I9 9900k, fatta tale premessa ho acquistato la Z790 per montarci un I7 13700k, nessun problema da segnalare, ho a che optato per la tipica placca di fissaggio ( contact frame la 1700). La scheda ha un design sobrio, non per amanti del tamarro e gli RGB, piuttosto per chi cerca prestazioni, buone fasi di alimentazione ed anche pi di un minimo di design. La motherboard in questione viene anche fornita di pennetta USB marchiata MSI con driver e programmini all’interno, i tipici cavi sata quasi caduti in disuso, fissaggio rapido per M2, Antenne wifi. Le schede di questo tipo sono sicuramente altine come prezzo, qualsiasi sia la marca, Pagata 285 sono soddisfatto, avrei gradito il vecchio “schermino” con i codici errore.
Ich wollte ein System zusammenstellen, bei der aktuelle High-End Produkte (z.B. i9 13900K, RTX 4090 Suprim X Liquid, 64 DDR5 RAM, PCIe 5.0 SSD) angeschlossen werden knnen. Das Ganze sollte auerdem einigermaen zukunftssicher sein, damit man in den nchsten Jahren aufrsten kann. Natrlich spielte auch das Design eine wichtige Rolle.
Beim Design kann das MEG Z790 ACE Mainboard mit seiner dunklen Farbgebung und den leichten Gold-Nuancen auf jeden Fall punkten. Da bin ich aber auch generell MSI-Fan. Auch das hier nicht viele Schrauben genutzt wurden gefllt mir sehr gut. Der erste M2-Steckplatz kann bspw. mit einem einfachen Handgriff geffnet werden — Sofern man wei wie. Zustzlich knnen alle SSDs knnen mit einem einfachen Drehmechanismus befestigt werden. Auch hier ist keine extra Schraube ntig.
Das Mainboard hat alle meine Voraussetzungen erfllt:
– Ich habe einen LGA 1700 Sockel fr einen Intel-Prozessor der neusten 13. Generation
– Man kann bis zu 192 GB DDR5 RAM einbauen. Aktuell sind es nur” 64 GB geworden, aber fr die nchsten Jahre ist da auf jeden Fall noch Luft, sodass man einfach aufrsten kann.
– Es gibt einen PCIe 5.0 Steckplatz. Dieser wird fr die RTX-4000 Reihe derzeit zwar noch nicht bentigt, aber fr die nchste Generation knnte das schon anders aussehen.
– Es gibt insgesamt 5 M2-Steckpltze. Also mehr als genug Platz fr SSDs. Auerdem untersttzt ein Slot sogar die neuen extrem schnellen PCIe 5.0 SSDs.
ber eine Sache bin ich leider erst beim Anschlieen der Komponenten gestolpert. Da fehlte mir auch einfach die Erfahrung. Die PCIe-Lanes auf dem Mainboard werden sich unter gewissen Voraussetzungen geteilt. D.h. ich kann eine PCIe 5.0 Grafikkarte und PCIe 5.0 SSD nicht zur gleichen Zeit anschlieen oder muss zumindest auf etwas Leistung verzichten.
Eine PCIe 5.0 SSD kann nur am vierten M2-Slot angeschlossen werden. Die anderen M2-Slots untersttzen nur die aktuellen PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Wenn der vierte M2-Slot genutzt wird, steht aber der erste PCIE-Steckplatz fr die Grafikkarte nur mit x8 Speed zur Verfgung. Der zweite PCIE-Steckplatz steht berhaupt nicht mehr zur Verfgung.
Ein bisschen hat mich das bei dem stolzen Preis schon gergert. Betrifft am Ende aber auch nur die Zukunftssicherheit. Die aktuellen High-End Produkte konnten alle problemlos angeschlossen werden und laufen mit maximaler Effizienz. Da gibt es keinerlei Einschrnkungen. Auch das BIOS konnte ohne Schwierigkeiten installiert werden.
Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Mainboard sehr zufrieden.

First point to talk about: Intel 13th gen compatibility.
I had to update the BIOS to allow my 13600K to be recognized and get the motherboard to POST. As it has a USB port dedicated to BIOS flashing, it was quite easy to do so (should be a mandatory feature on every boards, as it can often save the day).
I know DDR5 is quite tricky to operate right now (some boards handle diffucultly DDR5 quad-channeling, which is technically more an octa-channeling), but this board has shown good results with a 4 x 8GB DDR5 sticks setup, which is quite encouraging if someday I feel like upgrading to 4 x 16GB.
PCIe ports are numerous enough and all 4rth gen ones (5th gen is too rare on consumer level for now and doesn’t provide such an upgrade for the only use it has to us so far: SSDs).
RGB ports are also there and operating your RGB components through MSI’s Mystic Light is working great so far (although the feedback on user’s side could be improved when you click on something). The onboard RBG LEDs are nice and discrete.
MSI support is fast to answer if you have any questions related to their products (had one related to registering the motherboard one their website and who I should reach for if guarantee coverage would come into play).
Overclocking and tweaking options into the BIOS work like a charm (XMP profiles, fan control, CPU gameboost, etc.).
It’s been a few weeks that the motherboard is running and I really see no issues so far. I will surely continue using MSI when the time to change this board will come.
All in all, the MSI Z790 Gaming Pro Wifi is a clear recommandation for anyone looking for an LGA 1700 motherboard with DDR5 compatibility, good connections options and deep tweaking/OC possibilities.
Presa insieme ad altri componenti per assemblare il mio nuovo PC.
Ho installato un processore i7 13700KF a cui ho associato un dissipatore NXZT Kraken.
Come scheda grafica sto utilizzando una RTX 4090.
Tutti questi componenti si sono installati senza problemi e anche la scheda grafica che veramente molto grande e pesante rispetto a quelle del passato risulta essere ben stabile.
Anche il dissipatore funziona perfettamente con un collegamento sulla MOBA gi dedicato a questo tipo di dissipatori.

Presenta tantissimi attacchi per collegare ventole addizionali e USB presenti sul case che siano USB 2/3 o type C.
L’antenna WiFi rispetto al mio vecchio modello risulta avere un’ottima copertura e sopratutto supporta il WiFi 6.
Ho trovato molto comoda la pen drive da 16GB inclusa nella confezione.
Infatti appena installato tutto il PC non veniva riconosciuto da Windows 11 il WiFi e non avendo un secondo PC a disposizione per scaricarli dal sito stato molto comodo trovare una ISO dentro la Pen Drive con i driver da installare.
Il BIOS risulta molto semplice e facile da utilizzare. Pochi secondi ho abilitato senza problemi il profilo XMP per aumentare la frequenza delle RAM.
Il led presente sulla scheda madre bello e non esagerato e comunque si pu decidere di impostarlo come si vuole tramite il tool MSI Center.
La consiglio.
Superbe carte mre avec une grande quantit de connectiques l’arrire. Son installation est simple et le Bios est facile utiliser et comprendre. Les priphriques (mme hors MSI) sont parfaitement reconnus et peuvent tre branchs facilement sur la carte mre lors de l’installation, notamment avec les 6 ports de ventilateurs et ceux pour l’AiO et le ventirad.
Le flash du Bios est aussi extrmement pratique et rapide, ce qui permet une mise jour simple du Bios.
La cl USB fournie est un rel bonus, ayant pris un CPU sans pilote intgr, elle permet une installation de tous les pilotes ncessaires au bon fonctionnement de l’ordinateur sans avoir jongler entre 2 PC.
Les 4 ports nvme sont trs utile pour du gros stockage et l’installation des SSD avec le systme easy-lock est nettement moins laborieuse qu’avec un vis.
Le seul bmol que je pourrais reprocher cette carte mre est la reconnaissance et la synchronisation RGB avec d’autres composants qui n’est pas parfaite au premier abord, mais en cherchant un peu on arrive au rsultat voulu

endschieden, hab erst berlegt DDR4 zu nehmen aber dann doch das DDR5 genommen, wenn schon dann schon, und es war die richtige Entscheidung, ok der Preis ist schon ziemlich Stattlich aber ok man will ja auch was gutes.
Das Mainboard ist ziemlich schwer , was ich so von frher kenne oh ha,
Einbau ging sehr zgig von Hand, passte gut in den neuen Tower den ich mir gekauft habe.
Die anderen Teile die ich verbaut habe passten gut rein alles kein Problem, stelle zum Schluss mal eine Liste von den Sachen rein die ich Verbaut habe,
So alles verbaut und jetzt mal anmachen und Win11 Installieren, klappte auch bis dato bis Win 11 Internet haben wollte oh ha , ging nicht Mist, aber mit einigen Kniffen und mal bissel Googeln klappt die Installation von Win 11 auch ohne Internet fr den Anfang, Spter is ja klar Internet zur Registrierung von Win 11
So jetzt komme ich dazu warum ich ein Stern Abzug gegeben habe, von der Hardware ist das Board einfach klasse keine Frage.
So Treiber USB Sick reingesteckt und auf Autorun geklickt, ja da kam der Startbildschirm von MSI und dabei blieb es, hmmmm dachte ich mir was ist dann jetzt los, nach 3 versuchen musste ich dann doch mal wieder Googeln und ah ha das gute Mainboard braucht auch Internet, weil er sich die ganzen Treiber nicht von USB Stick zieht sondern Via Internet von MSI runter ld der USB Stick ist lediglich dazu da dich mit MSI zu Verbinden, aber der Lan Treiber ist auf dem Stick drauf , oh dachte ich klasse dann mal den Treiber Installieren, ging auch reibungslos , aber der W-lan Treiber ist nicht dabei , also langes Netzwerkkabel geholt und via Lan mit dem Netzt Verbunden, und jetzt erst ist der USB Stick angesprungen und hat sich die Treiber von der MSI Seite Gezogen, nach dem alles Installiert war ging der Rest der Treiberzieherei ach recht zgig von Statten,
Was ich an dem Board sehr gut finde ist der Reset Button hinten am Board wenn man mal alles im Bios verstellt hat, dann kann man den auf Werkseinstellung zurcksetzen, oder direkt im Bios kann man auch resetten
Das Bios Besitzt Speicherprofiele, also man kann mehrere Profile und Einstellungen anlegen, und kann gut Switchen zwischen den Profilen was ich sehr gut finde habe mir selber 2 Profile angelegt,
was ich auch noch klasse finde ist, das man Die Lfter oder Pumpe nicht dauerhaft auf Volldampf Laufen lassen muss, man kann das einstellen das bei einer bestimmten Temperatur die Lfter Schneller werden also in 4 Stufen, man kann es nach Grad , Fahrenheit oder auf Volt einstellen, wie man es gerne mchte,
Das Handbuch vom Board muss man sich auch leider aus dem Netzt ziehen als PDF Datei, auch wieder so ein Mist was ich nicht gut finde, ein Buch ist mal schnell aufgeschlagen PDF muss man ewig runterskrollen und so,
Aber soweit bin ich vollstens Zufrieden mit dem Board, denke das war fr mich eine gute Entscheidung.
So ich mach mal eine Liste was ich alles Verbaut habe und es keinerlei Probleme gibt, wie gesagt habe den jetzt seit Mai 2023 in Benutzung alles wunderbar auer Win 11 na ja Windows halt.

Easy to install and all of my components were recognised and running at full speed before I even did the bios update. The all black design was perfect for the look that I wanted as well, with having no RGB. I would definitely consider MSI again when I need my next component.
Associe un i9 13900KF haut de gamme et de la DDR 5 en profil XMP, aucun cran bleu sous Windows 11 depuis que je l’ai. Alors qu’avec celle d’avant c’tait soit un par semaine, soit les ports USB qui s’arrtaient de fonctionner.
J’ai conserv mon alimentation 650W (Gold Corsair), pourtant considre comme “trop faible” pour cette configuration, et qui fait parfaitement l’affaire !
Attention la mise jour du bios partir de H1 ne fonctionne qu’avec l’outils msi windows. En tlchargeant la main j’ai jamais russi faire accepter le fichier bios.
Si je devais comparer une autre marque (asus) que j’avais avant: le bios est quand mme nettement moins bien organis sur celle-la, et asus a plus d’options.
Pour continuer sur les quelques dfauts: le southbridge est recouvert d’un dissipateur passif. Celui ci chauffe normment. C’est normal, mais c’est pas dit videmment.
Enfin le systme d’accrochage des NVME est curieux et pas vident comprendre. Et leurs dissipateurs chauffent bcp aussi, et tant mieux !

This motherboard is great, its been years since i built a pc and always used msi as I have never had problem with them . Im using 13700k with corsair vengeance ddr5 6000 c32 perfectly.
Nachdem ich mir krzlich das MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi Mainboard fr meinen neuen PC zugelegt habe, mchte ich meine Erfahrungen teilen und eine Bewertung abgeben. Insgesamt vergebe ich fnf Sterne, trotz eines kleinen Problems zu Beginn.
Eine Eigenschaft, die mir besonders gut gefllt, ist die umfangreiche Anschlussvielfalt. Mit zahlreichen USB-Anschlssen, WiFi 6E und Bluetooth 5.2 bietet das Mainboard eine hervorragende Konnektivitt, die meine Benutzererfahrung deutlich verbessert hat.
Ich habe mich fr das MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi entschieden, weil es sich um ein hochwertiges Mainboard mit starkem Leistungsvermgen handelt und perfekt auf die neueste Intel-Plattform abgestimmt ist. Zudem schtzte ich die hohe Qualitt und die ansprechende Optik des Produkts.
Insgesamt wird das Mainboard meinen Ansprchen gerecht und bertrifft sogar meine Erwartungen in vielen Bereichen. Die Leistung ist beeindruckend und ermglicht mir, anspruchsvolle Anwendungen und Spiele problemlos auszufhren.
Die Strken des Produkts liegen vor allem in der Anschlussvielfalt, dem hohen Leistungsniveau und der guten Kompatibilitt mit verschiedenen Komponenten. Die Schwchen sind der etwas hhere Preis von 330 Euro und ein anfngliches Problem mit der Arbeitsspeichergeschwindigkeit.
Das besagte Problem mit dem Arbeitsspeicher trat auf, als ich meinen PC zum ersten Mal zusammengebaut hatte. Die Geschwindigkeit des Arbeitsspeichers wurde nicht korrekt erkannt und lief langsamer als erwartet. Nach einem BIOS-Update wurde dieses Problem jedoch behoben und mein System luft seitdem einwandfrei.
Zusammenfassend kann ich das MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi Mainboard trotz des hheren Preises und des anfnglichen Problems mit der Arbeitsspeichergeschwindigkeit empfehlen. Die hervorragende Leistung, Anschlussvielfalt und die benutzerfreundliche Handhabung machen es zu einer erstklassigen Wahl fr anspruchsvolle PC-Nutzer.
Chipset gets really hot 75C+ and if you have a SSD installed in the slot next to the chipset, your SSD will run super toasty. Using a 970 EVO PLUS and it gets to 80C+ easy.

Je viens de passer d’une config Intel 4790k sur du Z97x un Intel 13600k sur cette MSI Z790 et que dire de l’installation facile, avec ventilateur Deepcool AK620W, 64Go de DDR5 profil XMP3 reconnu directement. Mise jour du bios trs rapide et facile (on dl le fichier sur le site MSI, on le met sur la cl USB, fournie avec la carte*, on boot sur le bios et on slection update bios via USB et c’est parti, reboot auto et fini). J’ai install une alim corsair RM850x dessus, rien dire.
* propos de la cl USB fournie avec la carte MSI, il y a tous les pilotes ncessaires au bon dmarrage aprs une installation fraiche de windows10, que demander de plus, tout est reconnu aprs installation, juste un Windows update pour complter le tout.
Tout le ncessaire est fourni avec la carte, non rien dire, a respire la confiance chez MSI, prochain achat une RTX 4080 MSI pour remplacer ma 1070.
J’ai toujours t chez gigabyte, je suis pass chez MSI pour la qualit de leurs produits et surtout leur SAV qui a trs bonne rputation et a c’est le gros plus pour moi !
Utilisation pro photo/vido pour ma part, trs content d’avoir 4 emplacements nvme et deux ports USBC 10 et 20g l’arrire ainsi qu’un port en facade sur ma tour et pouvoir y connecter mon Sony A74 et A1 directement pour vider les cartes une vitesse dingue (aurevoir mon macbook pro m2)
Everything worked out of the box, they provide a USB stick with all of the drivers so no worries there. Ranning a 13900k with no issues. MSI have a really easy to use BIOS with EZ mode if you are not confident with settings or advanced mode if you want to overclock with more contrrol.
Seriously MSI, what the hell is this INSANE ‘feature’ enabled by default for? Maxing out an i7 13700K on all cores, and taxing my hardware more than a AAA game, just to transfer a video file onto a USB drive. WHYYY.
I spent ages looking at reviews and comparison sights for my first PC build in about 10 years. Ive settled on the MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK Wifi as if found this to be a good balance between semi future proof and cost.
Item is really well packages and all leads and instructions are clear. The integrated WiFi is a bonus as is support for DDR5. PCIE5 will also likely be used in the future.
A great motherboard, really pleased with the purchase
MoBo utilizzata per assemblare un PC di buon livello, inserendola in un case Corsair 200R(cui ho aggiunto una ventola di immissione sul frontale e 2 di estrazione nella parte superiore) e installandovi una CPU Intel i9-13900F alla quale ho applicato il cooler ad aria RH-1 compreso nel box della CPU. RAM 32 Gb(2×16) G.Skill Trident F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5RK e alimentatore Asus Rog Strix 850W(avrei preferito il 1000 ma al momento non era disponibile). Un SSD Samsung 990 M.2 NVMe da 2T, e con questo, date le voci che corrono ho qualche timore e lo tengo d’occhio. Infine, ciliegina sulla torta, una GPU Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti OC.
La descrizione deei componenti per dare un’informazione precisa, anche in merito alla loro compatibilit reciproca.
Una nota importante:
La prima scheda madre acquistata a termina assemblaggio risultata “morta”, cio non funzionante(il PC non si accendeva), subito risolto con il montaggio di un’altra scheda che invece risultata ben funzionante. Questo per indica un’assenza di controllo qualit.
La scheda madre ben fatta e comodamente accessibile in ogni sua parte e con dei dissipatori per i dischi M.2 ben fatti e gi forniti di strip di pasta termica. Molto comodo anche il fissaggio degli M.2 che hanno i loro specifici fermi che con una semplice rotazione di 120 li fissano. Decisamente utile anche la presenza sul pannello posteriore del pulsante per “flashare” il BIOS, non altrettanto comodo il pulsante che cos piccolo che per chi ha le dita grosse qualche problema a premerlo lo presenta.
Numerosi, lungo i lati della MoBo, gli attacchi per le ventole di cui si pu dotare in abbondanza il case.
I driver sono forniti su pendrive e finch non si sono installati, cosa che si pu chiaramente fare solo dopo aver installato Win, non si ha la connessione, per cui durante l’installazione di Win ho dovuto ignorare le lamentele del suo installer che non riusciva ad avere la connessione e scaricare gli aggiornamenti. Prima volta che mi capita perch abituato con Linux non ho mai avuto questo problema alla sua installazione. Comunque tutto andato alla perfezione, RAM perfettamente riconosciuta nel BIOS(dopo qualche riavvio) e abilitato senza problemi l’XMP. Anche l’aggiornamento del BIOS, presente nella versione 7D91vH0 del settembre 2022, necessario in quanto disponibile la 7D91vH2 andato a buon fine(leggi per dopo).
Il sistema funziona perfettamente e molto silenziosamente nonostante le 9 ventole presenti al suo interno(necessario configurare il BIOS per diminuire la loro velocit) che solo in alcuni casi, come all’avvio del sistema, partono a tutta e si sentono bene.
Molto “tamarri” i LED RGB presenti, sia sulle RAM, sia sul cooler, graziosi ma inutili per me visto che il case 200R tutto chiuso.
La reattivit del sistema ottima ed un piacere lavorarci. Non posso esprimermi sul comportamento della grafica perch non n la sede giusta n sono in grado farlo dato che questa la si vede nei giochi ma questo lo far il titolare del PC, mio figlio, che questa attivit un po’ la fa.
Dopo qualche giorno di normale attivit posso dire che il piccolo e curioso cooler RH-1 della Intel sembra fare abbastanza bene il proprio lavoro per cui, chi non intende utilizzare l’overclock o farlo in maniera “pacata”, pu rimanere tranquillamente con quello, magari tenendo d’occhio le temperature.
Un fatto importante di cui tenere conto che mentre con GPU 4070 Ti non vi alcun problema fin dalla prima accensione, con delle schede grafiche un po’ datate(a me lo ha fatto con Asus Cerberus 1050 Ti e con GTX 970, sempre Nvidia) alla prima accensione bisogna evitare di collegare il monitor via DisplayPort perch non viene visto e rimane nero. Bisogna collegarlo via HDMI per poter visualizzare il setup del BIOS e configurarlo. Una volta effettuato il primo accesso al BIOS e configurato si pu tranquillamente connettere il monitor alla DisplayPort. ATTENZIONE per, perch ad ogni upgrade del BIOS il fenomeno si ripete!!
Conclusione, la Tomahawk una buona scheda madre, non eccessivamente costosa e con tutto ci che serve per assemblare un PC anche di ottimo livello. Ha soltanto delle “caratteristiche” che potrebbero essere prese per difetti. Come detto per il controllo qualit sembra essere molto scarso(fattoconfermato da un certo numero di recensioni riportanti malfunzionamenti su schede nuove) e cos anche la cura nel controllo pre-rilascio delle nuove release del BIOS, come ad esempio la versione 7D91vH3, rilasciata per alcune ore, e poi fatta sparire che mi ha pregiudicato l’avvio di Windows 11 con lo strano messaggio che alcune regole di sicurezza erano cambiate. Nessun problema invece per la nuova release di aprile 7D91vH4, fatti salvo i numerosi “colpi” dalle casse durante il boot e la mancata abilitazione alla digitazione della tastiera fino a 4 o 5 secondi dopo la comparsa a video della pagina di login di Windows. Nel complesso, nonostante i problemini elencati, la cui descrizione spero possa aiutare qualcuno, posso dirmi personalmente abbastanza soddisfatto di questa MoBo.
Have always used MSI motherboards because they just work for my builds over the years. Impressed with this motherboard, it’s got all the M2s I need, works well with my 4090 and i9. No issues with installation at all.
I bought this for my workstation for Machine Learning purpose. So far it’s working perfectly with Intel i7-13700k and RTX 3080Ti. It has sufficient set of ports to connect all your peripherals. Still, I have not tested with over locking settings. So far stable product. Good for Intel 13th Gen processor.
I bought this motherboard to build my first gaming pc. It is a good quality product, easy to install following step by step guide. I like the heatsinks of this motherboard I didn’t have to spend extra for ssd m2 with heatsink. It has studio quality Realtek audio chip. Recomended
Having owned an MSI motherboard previously, I decided to buy another one for my new build.
I was looking for a mid-range motherboard that is compatible with the new NZXT H7 Elite case (front panel), and this motherboard was a perfect fit for my needs. It also has 4x M.2 SSD slots and a PCIE 5.0 slot.
The aethetics of the mobo are great. It looks of great quality. However, out the box, mine had a dodgy m.2 locker on one of the m.2 SSDs lockers. However, this wasn’t a big deal and I managed to sort it without having to order a replacement. The BIOS of this motherboard is extremely similar to my previous motherboard, which is extremely easy to use and update. You also get a USB stick with all the basic drivers in case you don’t have internet.
Overall, a great purchase!
The Z790 Tomahawk is a very good piece for its price compared to other brands and other Z790 variations of MSI.
First of all it has 4 M2 slots which is amazing if you have multiple SSD’s. It has the internal wifi adaptor, as this is the best part of the motherboard for me. It is using WiFi 6E, the latest technology, it has a 2.5G LAN adaptor and Bluetooth 5.2. Some of the other brands are using 5.1.
Another feature I love is the covers for the M2 slots. It covers the SSD’s that I have, giving protection and design.
My initial idea was to buy the MSI Z690 Unify, but after looking into the specs and comparing it for both specs and price, I concluded buying the Z790 was a much better idea. The Z790 uses a better chipset, supports a higher MHz usage on the rams and has a small very few feature differences for being 100$ cheaper, which is another benefit.
I bought it as I love MSI, the design and the features. My only concern with my current build is, my case has 4 USB 3.2 A entrances on the front requiring 2 USB 3.2 A entrances on the motherboard. Unfortunately, this motherboard has only 1 USB 3.2 A entrance for the front with 2 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.2 C entrance. I wish they had one more USB 3.2 A entrance on the motherboard, then my build would have been perfect.
I would definitely recommend it, as it is high quality and has good pricing compared to other versions and brands.
I looked for WHITE motherboard which supports the latest 13th GEN Intel processors and initially found Asus MAXIMUS Z690 FORMULA. However after depth research and I ordered MSI MPG Z790 Edge Wifi board which is almost twice cheaper but has all features which I need. Such as USB-C header, DDR5 support.
I planned to use Ethernet connection, but was impressed with WiFi module which shows amazing speed and ping is around 8-10ms to google DNS from the 3rd floor (where is PC) to the ground floor (where is router).
This is my first MSI product I even purchased and I am really impressed with MSI quality and performance.
Now I am looking for other MSI products which offer best value for money.
