Ottimo per mie esigenze di raccolta foglie e polvere in giardino e terrazzo. Leggero e maneggevole con battere ricaricabili.
Forse aggiungerei un sistema di supporto a muro per renderlo ancora pi facilmente accessibile.

Acquistato in offerta durante il PrimeDay, il prodotto non include la batteria, ma avendo un rasabordi della stessa marca posso usare quella. La durata non stellare (circa 20 minuti), per il resto tutto ok.

 

I Pini marittimi lungo un lato del confine del giardino scaricano molti aghi in occasione di temporali e/o bufere di vento con il soffiatore Murrey non uso pi il rastrello, accumulo rapidamente gli aghi e non faccio fatica.
L’unica nota negativa riguarda la lunghezza del tubo soffiatore, a mio avviso dovrebbe essere pi lungo di almeno 5/8 cm.

 

Our front garden has trees outside its perimeter on two sides and a great many along a railway siding just beyond the opposite pavement of which several are London planes and a particular nuisance every autumn. As others are blossom trees, the area can be covered by plant debris at different times of the year and all needs to be removed for tidiness and safety.

This “Murray 1697119 18V Lithium-Ion Leaf Blower Kit IQ18LBK, Including 5Ah Battery and Charger, 225 km/h Air Velocity, 5 Years Warranty” should help collect most of that debris into convenient and easily removed piles which is collected and communally composted. There is minimal assembly required, essentially mounting the nose onto the blower body and then the charged battery. There are two beefy sets of multilingual documentation, one for the blower and the other for the battery and charger plus warranty information etc. Sometimes, a storage/carry case is included but not here.

Murray, apparently a long-established UK brand, was not previously known unlike the more familiar names of Makita, Ryobi, Black & Decker and Bosch who have very similar products at often broadly comparable prices. Other brands may offer functionally similar products at lower prices that may also be less capable or less well-made. In this instance, Murray offer a 5-year guarantee which seems generous but this is a product that may be only used every week or two across some seasons.

As we are too late in the year for blossom and too early for berries and leaves, there is no immediate need for the blower but within a few weeks material will begin to fall and accumulate; the berries can be quite dangerous especially to the elderly and those using walking aids (sticks and crutches) as, when trodden on, they become quite slimy and cause foot-slips and occasionally an injury. When the berry drop is heaviest and not quickly cleared, our local refuse collectors will not enter affected gardens using ‘Health and Safety’ as their justification. Using this will help ensure that public services are maintained.

The battery is lithium-ion, recharges in under 2 hours and then provides around 22 minutes of use (or will after several charge/discharge cycles) sufficient for most gardens and is presumably unique to the brand; others of similar specification are unlikely to fit. In the event that 22 minutes is inadequate, an additional 5Ah battery can be purchased (Amazon ASIN B07PZGMRCD) and kept fully charged. The discharged battery can then be recharged and stored until next needed. If other Murray garden products are owned, their batteries can be interchanged or shared. The charger is free-standing so can be used anywhere in the home, garage or garden shed where a suitable power socket is available.
