Die Empfehlung, die Konfiguration mittels der Netgear Nighthawk App durchzufhren, funktioniert gut, wenn das Standard-Netzwerk genutzt wird. Abweichende Nummernkreise fhren zu Problemen, die nur via Web-Interface zu beheben sind. Eine Konfiguration als Access-Point wird ber die APP gar nicht angeboten.
Richtig (via Web-Interface) konfiguriert handelt es sich um einen sehr schnellen und auch optisch ansprechenden Router.

This piece of kit is a amazing. My virgin router kicks out about 400mbps yet I’m getting nearer 900mbps with this. Netgear clearly better than the rubbish supplied by Virgin media.

Automatic set up will set the basics to get online and then you can do the more advanced stuff in the advanced tab and then reboot with no need to ever go there again…
GUI options include the option to disable Lights, Which will be super helpful if the router is not hidden after full set up…
Default IP is standard Netgear 192.168.1.1… So is likely to clash with many ISP “hubs” so will need changing..
Default password is set per router and as now normal in tiny text but is a “keywords” sentence not scrambled letters and numbers, this makes login way better for the first time..
You are forced to change it the very first boot off router connection …
You do get a cheap Ethernet cable in the box still…
In breve: Interfaccia immediata con possibilit di configurazione avanzata (che potete anche ignorare per uso casalingo), ottime prestazioni WAN, Wi/Fi: buona copertura ed ottima stabilit.
In dettaglio: Il Router WAN arriva con schemi di installazione rapida multilingue che indicano di utilizzare un’app telefonica. Io ho preferito configurare da browser.
Configurato per Eolo 100/20 in pochi minuti si collegato immediatamente, possibile utilizzare le opzioni di base oppure quelle avanzate, presente anche un QoS che ho configurato in quanto colleghiamo circa 15 apparecchi tra PC, cellulari, tablet e stampanti.
L’interfaccia, sia di base che avanzata costruita in maniera intelligente e si naviga tra le opzioni senza problemi.
L’ho installato su un muro quasi all’altezza del soffitto e copre egregiamente un appartamento di 180 m2, copre anche il piano superiore seppur se con prestazioni leggermente inferiori.
Sia in 5Ghz che in 2.4 la velocit Wi/Fi pressoch al massimo nel piano in cui installato e balla tra l’80% e il 50% nel piano superiore con un’ottima stabilit.
L’unico “problema” riscontrato che quando si aggiornato automaticamente stato necessario riavviarlo manualmente per ricollegarlo ad internet ma capitato una sola volta e ritengo che sia stato episodico.
Se proprio devo trovare un difetto che per l’aspetto non lo metterei in bella vista in soggiorno ma non stato necessario, anche il mini PC collegato alla TV, che si trova nel posto peggiore per collegarsi, riceve benissimo il segnale e si viaggia in streaming 4K che un piacere.
Non l’ho utilizzato per VoiP.
In definitiva consigliatissimo ed in base alle prestazioni anche del giusto prezzo.

I’ve been battling with wifi and Network issues for as long as I can remember. Got new wifi usb adapters for the laptops (in same room as virgin hub 3). I also have used repeaters for upstairs (was last using virgin one).
Wifi would drop off phone. There would be dropped packages over wifi and homeplug just pinging virgin router, fortnite would lose network at times and glitch.
I got this hoping it would help. Set virgin router to modem mode, plugged in netgear. Configured netgear with same SSID and password and everything connected automatically (loads of wifi blubs so would have been a drag otherwise).
No drops now, wifi in whole house (no repeaters). Network so fast over smb. Why didn’t I do sooner!
Purchased this router as the Virgin Media HUB3 Modem/Router did not seem to be able to handle 2 people working from home (Known issue with that particular model’s Wi-Fi) and connections were constantly dropping out, forcing frequent device reboots.
The RAX10/AX1800 has completely resolved all Wi-Fi performance issues and gives good coverage to all rooms in my small house, without the need for any repeaters. The Netgear app make changing settings very easy, and I was able to give the device the old routers SSID and password, so all my devices connected without any problems. The ISPs device was switched into Modem only mode, as per their instructions and connected with an ethernet cable.
My only complaint with this particular model, is the abundance of status lights. There are 5 bright green LEDs, which flash constantly when connected. This must be have been considered by Netgear as there is an option to turn off all but the power status light, but one must be comfortable accessing the advanced settings via a web browser, as that is how I found the option to turn them off.
I did find that my Xbox was suffering lag/dropped packets in online gaming, but it appeared that the corner I had placed it in was the worst point in the house for Wi-Fi signal (as per a signal measuring app), moving it a few feet to the other side of the desk fixed this problem; so this router is only suitable for smaller houses.
This has improved our download speeds and connectivity in the far corners of the house. It was really easy to set up with the phone app and has put a new lease of life into our Virgin hub. I wish we had got one at the start of lockdown because I could have avoided all of the stress in Teams and Zoom meetings when the signal dropped out.
We all have iPhone 11 or newer, so we have WiFi 6, we can finally experience the strength of 6 since we got our router. The virgin media hub 3 not only is poor at sending a decent signal but it also cuts out very often. I thought this was my ISP turns out it was actually the router itself because since having my Netgear I have much strong signal, much stronger range, and much more reliability in my internet. On the virgin media hub 3 the PS5 was speed testing at 103 down and 8 up. With Netgear router it is now maxing at 211 down and 31 up. Great upgrade throughout the home.
Arrived quickly.
Set it up using the Nighthawk app which is easy to navigate. Opened my VM hub’s UI and set it to modem only and then finished set-up on the Nighthawk app. Fairly pain-free installation apart from a few niggles with our AV and VPN which were solved easily enough (which is amazing considering its having to communicate with Virgin Media junk)
The WiFi throughout the home (3 bed semi) before installing this router was awful, patchy and slow (have 500mb VM package) and Virgin Media’s solution was 2 plug-in boosters which is ok until you placed them in another room wherein they lost connection!
The WiFi after booting up the Netgear router was great, good connection throughout the home with average 400-720mb wifi test speeds.
I use this router in conjunction with a Netgear WiFi extender which enables great connection and speed in our garden some 30m and 2 solid walls away from where the extender is situated.
Feel aggrieved I had to go to this length and cost but at the same point wish I had done this years earlier.
Highly recommended (especially if you are a Virgin Media non Hub 5 user)!
A bit difficult to set up (they want you to use the app, but you can force it to use your laptop) but once it’s running it’s a pretty good basic Wifi 6 router. Better than CCP-owned companies with backdoors and at a lower price too
