Bought for my grandson, who resists bedtime, this has been a boon in calming him. Sometimes he listens to the songs but usually he likes the stories. As I can record onto the device I record stories for him and he likes to hear my voice. The box can also be taken on journeys so keeps him entertained in the car. I’ve bought a couple of the character tonies too which he loves.
This was a great gift for my nephew for his 3rd birthday. Got the whole family to record stories and send them to me. Then I uploaded them and sent it to him so he could hear his Mam’s side of the family, who he doesn’t get to see very often. Have maintained access to the character (online account) so I can upload more stories from afar when I want to. He was thrilled to hear everyone.
My daughter loves this box. There are so many tonies that you can purchase for this and they are great you can even upload your own audio books to the creative tonie. My daughter has this on the go all the time. I haven’t found out how long the battery life is on a full charge as it hasn’t run out and is on the charger at nights.

We bought this for.one of our grandkids and were so impressed we bought another for others. Amazong that we can read a story at our house for them and then they can upload to their Tonie. Its just fabulous!!!

Grandson loved it, but his attention to it was quite short lived.
Supposed to get the child away from “screens”, it may be too late for the over two’s who are now screen orientated?
Best advice would be to never introduce your child to “screen” devices. Get this first !
But easy to use, great idea. Especially if you don’t have time to read to your child in the first place?
This story cube is brilliant. Nice soft fabric around the cube just incase of any knocks, a good size, brilliant features regarding downloading and the app just too much to mention. The figures are magnetic so no worries of them falling off the top. Very clever volume controls so your child can do it themselves. Fantastically clear sound, it’s also mains powered which is good, so many different stores to choose from. So worth the money, my granddaughter couldn’t wait to go to bed to listen to the stories and she’s only 3. If your thinking about it but it.
Fab!
Our 3 year old son LOVES his Tonies box. After his bed time story he gets to pick which Tonie he wants to fall asleep to (usually Pinocchio, Peter Rabbit or Fireman Sam). The battery is fab and really lasts, durability we haven’t had too much experience with as it usually lives on his book shelf, but it is made very well. All in all a life saver.

Bought as a birthday present for my 3 year old son. Along with the Peppa Pig character he loves it. The character that comes with it can also be customised with your own story book, songs etc. Sound quality is really good and the tactile controls didn’t take long for him to learn.

Brilliant purchase
Bought this for a 4th birthday present and it’s absolutely brilliant. Sound quality and battery life don’t disappoint, and the variety of Tonie’s available to buy is fantastic. Love that it’s screen and wifi free meaning it can be taken anywhere.

One of the best purchase for my 1.5 old toddler. She loves it sooooo much. In morning she runs to put the music before anything else. During the day she puts a story to listen. We have it for a few weeks already, and she is not bored yet, even if we have just 4 of toniest.
I would say only only minus, how expensive tonies are. But in the same time, they are business and they created something really emazing for kids.

Love love love our tonie boxes! This is the 2nd one we’ve got- one in each of our daughters bedroom. So easy to use and the children love choosing a character at bedtime to decide what stories to listen to.

I love this it’s great my blind autistic son loves Julia Donaldson story’s and with this he can pick and listen to which one he wants to listen to HE NEEDS MORE JULIA DONALDSON TONIES LOL MAKE MORE (super worm,Tiddlers late) are two of his favourites but unfortunately they don’t have them x he loves gruffalo which he has n also room on the broom x worth every penny X
Child friendly speake
It’s basically a sturdy material enclosed speaker that you put characters on that play music, songs, games and audio stories. Needs internet access. Easy for my son to use. Has ‘little ears’ that turns it on and turns sound up/ down. Seems to have a good battery life once charged as it can be carried around the house.

My daughter loves this. A great way to help her settle at night. Love the fact there is no screen to take her attention. Easy to use. Great idea to give you a blank tonie so family can record stories from anywhere in the world with an internet connection and download it in seconds. Please note that some of the song tonies are covers and not by the original artist, unless one of the Disney tonies. In general just a great gift for your toddler.

Bought this for my youngest granddaughter for Christmas and it has gone down a storm with all four granddaughters! Hasn’t really helped the youngest to stay in her own bed all night or go to bed any better but my daughters says it is fantastic

Got this for my 4 year old for Christmas she absolutely loves it and listens to her fairy tales every night before bed it’s easy to use for her and the battery life is great also great that it also works in the car too for future long journeys we have not yet done our own audio but it’s great that you can do this one idea we came up with was recording the timetables for her older brothers especially at this present time with no school
Possible the best thing I’ve bought for my kids
This is genius. And I mean genius. Both my kids (5 & 2) absolutely love it. It’s made bedtime so much easier. I can’t praise this enough. Ok the characters at 15 quid each are a little expensive. That would be the only downside.
Bought one for each if my granddaughters (4yrs), who are both very exciteable. They both love the stories and haven’t put it down since they received it, meaning they have kept still and chilled for the first time! It is keeping them amused for hours. Simple to use and a good thing just learnt from excellent customer service, is that the first time a character is played the stories etc are stored within the box, so connection to the Internet is no longer required. I thought it had to be connected all the time! This enables the Tonie to be used on the move. Excellent and well worth the money. Should keep them amused for hours. More characters need purchasing now!
Very cute and kids love i
It is a gift for Christmas but I’ve been setting it up to test things out. Had a bit trouble during initial setup up but the support codes were useful. The only real issue has been quality control on the tonie itself. The paint on the ears was flaking off and poses an issue because we also have an infant who mouths objects.
UPDATE: I contacted Tonies customer care about the paint and they sent us a new greenie! Very much appreciated. The Toniebox is still going even after much toddler abuse. Extremely well made.

My little one loves talking books when playing, this allows her to pick what she listens to ( the creative tonies allow up to 90mins of your own stuff) this is cool, we have added music as well as story’s not on these yet.

Amazing for kids
My kids love this. We bought it for our daughters birthday and are getting my son one for Christmas because he loves hers so much. Can’t wait to get a few more tonies. So easy to use. My son is 2 and he knows how to put it on.
Brilliant gift for kids
This Is the second tonie box I have purchased for nieces and nephews. The first one was purchased over a year ago and it’s a toy my niece always goes back to. I am hoping this one will also provide the same entertainment. Love the fact that little ones can use this completely on their own and select which story/music they want to listen to without being glued to a screen and being interuppted by annoying ads! Very sturdy and well made for clumsy fingers.
It wasn’t possible, apparently, to charge and set up this so that my 4-year-old Grandson could use it immediately because of the setup being “once only” and he doesn’t live with me.
I am probably wrong, but I didn’t want him to only be able to use it with MY wi-fi.
Also, they had difficulty setting up a Gruffalo Tonie.

I brought this for my grandsons 4th birthday, he can’t sleep in a quiet room so wasn’t staying in his bed through the night. From the first night this was playing in his room he slept through and has done every night since his favourite book is an educational one on dinosaurs and he also has two empty tonies characters for his parents and his sister to record stories on for him to listen too. Would definitely recommend, the box and the characters are very sturdy and easy for little hands to use.
Great Toy For Kids
A very clever concept for children. My two sons who are 3 and 1 love it, they both know how to put the tonies on to hear the audio. We have also got my Dad reading them stories that are then uploaded to the creative tonie you get in the box.
Seems really robust and something I believe my children will play with for years to come.
Customer service was also good and they helped with a few queries I had before we purchased it.
One small gripe is the setup initially can be fidly. Took us around 30 minuites to get it connected to our WiFi. Never had issues like this before.
I was undecided on this due to the price but in the end I decided to go for it.
The toniebox is very nice looking although slightly heavier that I anticipated its still easy for my 2 year old to carry about
Set up was fairly straightforward but it did take me 3 attempts, we got 2 creatives and 1 story.
Adding content to the creatives was pretty simple and quick
It’s easy to use, my 2 year old has sussed it out fairly quickly and is able to skip the track/story although this is slightly more difficult for her
Overall I am glad I got it, we uploaded my daughters favourite YouTube songs and I feel good knowing she can enjoy these without having the TV or tablet on
We have got family members to record stories for her which is great given the current lockdow
Ideal gift during lockdown!
An expensive product and have to buy extras , but give our four year old granddaughter lots of happiness.
We enjoy reading her a story, particularly during this time of no contact. She enjoys listening to her story plus our personal messages.
This has been an amazing purchase for my 4 year old daughter. She listens to it constantly – we’ve got one tonie for music and one for stories and she’ll happily sit and listen to either for ages. Sound quality is great. I would say headphones are a must though! Be warned you need songs/stories downloaded onto your phone/computer to put onto the toniebox which we hadn’t really thought through. So worth thinking about where you’ll get your music and stories from before you decide to purchase. Great little app which you download to add and edit what you have on each tonie. Holds its charge for absolutely ages, and fully portable.

The Toni is very well designed and of very high quality. The only issue is trying to download on to the creative Toni, especially from an Iphone, where the instructions could be a little more detailed rather than relying on bogs or customer frequently asked questions.

Where do I start, this tonies box is a fantastic idea and a brilliant product!! Available in a variety of different colours and do many stories you can buy for it. I love that it comes with a little tonie to start with that you can record your own story on. Clear sound, easy to set up just have to download an app on your phone which is quick and easy to use, and off you go it ready for your little ones to listen to. Highly recommended this product.
Excellent for young childre
This is so good as very young children can manage to operate it themselves simply by putting their favourite figures on the top . Once in place the story or songs begin to play

Would highly recommend butof a fiddle to start off but our little boy absolutely loves it we got him Mcqueen & got other family members & friends to get him more for Christmas he also loved the bear baloo from the jungle book & the lion king !
Father Christmas bought us this because daddy works away a lot and our son loves bedtime stories and we’ve had it almost a fortnight now. Overall we’re really pleased with our Toniebox. We have played The Little Red Riding Hood tonie with 5 fairy tales, the Gruffalo tonie, and the creative tonie on it. We generally read to our son his 2 bedtime stories as usual and then leave him to listen to the Toniebox as he falls asleep and it’s stopped him getting out of bed for random reasons.
Positives, it’s a lovely item, because it’s so basic there’s no temptation for little one to get out of bed and mess about with it, the characters are cute and it’s easy for our toddler to use. Both us parents easily downloaded the app and found it really simple to add content for the creative Tonie and the content was there pretty much instantly.
Negatives, I think some of the tonies are quite pricey, for example, the gruffalo is one story, but Favourite Tales is 5 so is better value… It was also tricky to set up and took a few goes but nothing major enough to drop to a 4 star rating. Its fab.
Great product!
My granddaughter loves it so far (recent Christmas present). She takes ages, sometimes hours, to go to sleep and her parents are using it as a DIY bedtime story time . just so ‘they’ have a bit of time to themselves! One week in and successful so far.
Easy to use audio box
The toniebox gives our young children easy, safe and independent access to audio stories and music. The kids take the box with them around the house while they play. It is incredibly simple for the little ones to operate by themselves, and it has been equally easy for us to set up for the first time, and subsequently to upload our own audio content to the creative tonie both via the website and the app. We enjoy having a mix of tonies that already have stories on them, and some on which we can keep changing the content. The box also feels very sturdy.
The only negative thing that I would say is that the ‘creative Tonie’ character that comes with the kit, really is not very useful. Other than being able to record yourself reading stories for your child onto it, it isn’t possible to upload stories from audible, Spotify, amazon music etc on it. This should be more clear when you purchase it. I spent hours trying to figure out how to get content on there, before giving up entirely and just buying the pre-recorded tonies separately. We have three different characters and my daughter loves them. It’s really easy for small children to use once set up.
What a fab toy! My kids are a bit older than the age this is targeted at, but having seen a toniebox at work, I knew they would love it too. We only have the creative Tonie so far, and when my 6 year old isn’t playing small world games with it, my 9 year old likes to record stories and songs for her to listen to. I would love to see some tonies for older kids (Mr Gum! Or the Claude books by Alex T. Smith!), as I feel the price point for short story books is a bit higher than I am willing to pay, but for a longer story they would be awesome! Love it though, and thoroughly recommend it 🙂
