Great bright bulb but a little expensive
I really like this bulb. It replaced an 800 lumen hue bulb in my conservatory. This new bulb is 1600 lumens. We had trouble reading small text in board games at night with the old light. I don’t know how lumens works but this light doesn’t seem twice as bright to my eye. It is behind a light frosted fixture through which I assume would block a little of the light. Even though it doesn’t seem twice as bright it is more than you would need in a medium size room at least. I’m very happy with my purchase I just think its very over priced for a single bulb.

Love it. Easy to use. No wi-fi needed!
Been using the 800w for a few years. Decided to get 1600w as it’s the brightest they do and my living room where I work from doesn’t get much sunlight until late afternoon and I needed something bright. So far it’s good and does what I need. If I could get an even brighter one, I would. Cool bright setting gets bright enough for me

    Brightness comes at a price!
For the last few years I’ve been using the 800 lumen bulbs, and as a result have used a multitude of other lamps to compensate for the lack of brightness.

This new version is much brighter — I don’t think it’s the claimed 1600 lumens, but on a cool ‘daylight’ setting, it’s certainly more than adequate.

The brightness does drop somewhat when using colours or going into the more extreme warm light settings – a slight warmth seems to be fine – but it’s still brighter than previous incarnations.

As usual, Hue products are always overpriced – which is why it loses a point – but they admittedly have the advantage of accessories like switches and dimmers, and these can be life savers if your internet goes down.

    Good
Works well, I’d recommend getting the bridge as well since the Bluetooth does not work very well at all. Very pricey as always with Phillips but they do work very well in their little eco system. If you have something like home assistant you may be better off with a cheaper brand and just link them to home assistant.

More brightness but still considerate High prices for Hue bulbs.
I guess I wanted more light in the room.
So far none of my 5 years old Hue bulbs broke so at least that.

However the budget hole is not small if you need more than one.
