I was adding to a set I already have but was pleasantly surprised to get two different plants in this order. Packaging was very secure, no chips, cracks etc. Love, love love these salad plates because they double as small bowls due to rim on the plates.

These were replacements for us, for plates broken through the years. These plates were in their factory packaging. Perfect condition.

It is my new everyday china. Beautiful, sturdy and has a lipped rim to contain any liquid in your food. Except for the price, it is perfect.

I have used this china pattern for years and love it. The six plates were replacements for those broken over 40 years. This china is not super sturdy, but you can micriwave it and wash it in a dishwasher. Some plates and serving platters are oven proof.

I love this pattern and have many pieces. Over the years, several salad plates have gotten broken. This offer seemed like a great price. Disappointing that it turned out to be seconds. No terrible flaws but a few bubbles, etc. Might have bought it anyway but I feel I should have been told.
The Portmeiron salad plates were the best price by far that I could find an anywhere. One of the plates has a dark mark on the edge of the rim, which leads me to believe that these are seconds? If so, they should be sold as such.

I already had a set of 4. There were only 2 duplicates in the set of 6 in the new order so I was very pleased.

Incredibly hard-wearing, virtually indestructible beautiful plates.
I needed to replace some broken or scratched Portmeirion plates — some were over 30 years old. A few belonged to my father and were about 50 years old!! A real testament to their quality.
These plates are extremely hard-wearing and tough. They are over a quarter of an inch (6mm) thick and so quite heavy. The glaze is very thick and shiny, giving good protection to the pattern. They are microwave, dishwasher, freezer and oven friendly, attractive and very long-lasting. Overall, they are extraordinarily high quality. The plates I purchased were identical diameter to my originals, they even stack together precisely.

Love these, tough and good looking can use for everyday use but nice enough for best too. These plates are 2 cm bigger than stated and so are the dinner plates
We use Botanic Garden as our every day dining set as we have done for quite a few years. It is so attractive that we also often use it when we have guests rather than bringing out the fine china. It is highly durable and I do not think we have ever had a chipped item. It is perfectly fine to wash in the dishwasher or use in the microwave. This is a timeless design which has been around for forty years (its the anniversary this year) and we have many old pieces which, in the main, are as good as new.
Apart from numerous different plates and bowls, it is possible to obtain all sorts of other items in this design. This includes not only pottery items but also things like place mats, drinks mats, oven gloves. It is really nice to have everything matching.
I fell in love with this pattern about 20 years ago, when my grandmother gave me 2 place settings. She continued to give me additional place settings as gifts over the years. Unfortunately, I’ve broken a few plates, so I ordered the 6 salad plates to supplement my collection. I ordered them on a Tuesday and received them on Friday using my free Super Saver Shipping. They arrived in perfect condition – lots of boxes and bubble wrap – and are just beautiful! I agree with others that they do fade after years of use, and I’ve had a few plates develop cracks, but again, this is after 15+ years of use. I never get sick of this pattern and would definitely recommend them. Oh – for some reason, the photograph only shows 4 plates, so I wasn’t sure if I would get 6 different patterns or if I would get 2 of the same pattern. You receive 6 different patterns – they’re all beautiful.
Having depleted our set (given as wedding present in 1994) I couldn’t find any local stockist of Portmeirion. These were the best price I could find, the quality was excellent, they arrived extremely quickly and were well packaged. I was pleased that it was a relatively local company to where I live. I was also delighted that there were some new very pretty flower designs.
