Perfect for artificial grass I’ve collected more cleats in recent years than I’d like to admit, all while looking for something that offers sufficient grip to play in artificial pitches, but not getting so stuck when I plant my foot that my ankle or knee will get destroyed, as it has in the past and as I’ve seen happen to so many players.
I’ve tried everything from regular turf shoes, to buying firm ground cleats and shaving down the studs to a smaller size, to buying soft ground cleats with removable studs and 3D printing custom made ones, but nothing was quite what I’m looking for.
Granted I’ve only had these for a while, but so far they are the best thing I’ve ever tried.
They definitely offer good grip – my first game was in old / shallow turf during a rainy day and they held on great, but when I stomp down on one foot I can still get them to rotate they way regular cleats would rotate on natural grass as opposed to being completely locked in / stuck.
These specific cleats are a take-down model and maybe for that reason they are stiffer and break-in hasn’t been a great experience – that’s the main reason I’m giving them 4 stars and not 5, plus I had to buy 3 sizes before getting it right (I usually play either size 10.5 or 11, these ones I ended up going with 10), but as far as the sole plate goes, I’d give them 6 stars if I could, and this MG style is the only thing I will be using in the foreseeable future.
Too bad these don’t sell in the US and always need to be shipped from overseas, but I can definitely live with that.
Highly recommend – just be patient with breaking them in, and be weary of size.
You probably need to go half a size down, maybe more.
