Can’t believe that a straightener so cheap could have this result. My hair feels so smooth and silky. The fact I can put the heat down so won’t damage my hair is a plus and that it also had a cut off element. Don’t hesitate to buy this. So much better than some double the price
Amazing for the price!
Best pair of straighteners I’ve bought. My 3 year old son broke my corolsis c2’s, snapped them like a wish bone after having those for 17 years looked into buying a new set but couldn’t afford the 100 odd to replace. Bought these for 20 on sale and they work just as well as my expensive ones, better than any GHD I’ve used or other crazy expensive ones I’ve used. Would recommend these.
Great straighteners for the price
Bought these as my GHDs went on the blink. I don’t think they’re quite as good as the GHDs but very impressed with them for the price. Adjustable heat switch which is a great feature and come with a little storage bag so that they can be safely put away when cooling down. Would definitely recommend.
Brilliant price
These are the same ones that I owned a while back, and they lasted years. Between the shine therapy straighteners by Remington, and these, you’re not going to need anything else. They’re lovely on my hair, and in the past I’ve used these to curl (haven’t tried curling with shine therapy, as they don’t seem like they’d be able to do that). The price for these and the shine therapy combined is still drastically different from expensive brands, and nothing else is needed for my hair. I love these. Remington is by far the best brand for straighteners, and such great value. Highly recommended.

Good quality
This hair straightener is good quality as its ceramic plates gives smoothness. heat distribution is good. Temperature is adjustable and plates are longer so functions very well. The storage bag is cute. This straightener warms up quickly and ready to use in short time. Great quality hair straightener by Remington but I think price is slightly high.

Really good straighteners and not expensive
I bought these Remington straighteners as I’ve had other Remington products and they’ve always been good. They are not expensive and I am really pleased with them. I’ve had ghd’s in the past which were very reliable but as a pensioner now didn’t want to spend a lot on replacement straighteners.
Great straighteners
Much more reasonably priced than a lot on the market. Straighteners in one pass on my daughters wavy hair. Highly recommended. Her previous pair was remmington and they have lasted years.
My hair was burning so badly whilst using GHDs, so I decided to try these instead. I have thin, greying hair and I couldn’t be happier. The pic shows a quick curl upon opening and it lasts all day. I can adjust the temp and I have it middle to lowest setting and it can still style how I need It to. Great value for money too (paid 27). Very happy.
pretty good for the price!
I bought this almost a year ago, and being used to a GHD straightener I wasn’t expecting much from this straightener. But it is actually very good and worth buying if you don’t want to spend too much money. And something I find useful is the dial to change the temperature you want it to be, of course though if you have it at the lowest temperature you won’t get many results, but when you put it at the max be careful because it can get very very hot, so what I would advise is that you put it halfway. Overall I’m very satisfied with it and would definitely advise anyone who wants to buy a non-expensive straightener that works well and does its job!
I have been using GHD platinums for YEARS and they went pop half way doing my hair. In urgency as looking like a poodle, I bought these as they were cheap at 20 and delivers in 6 hours. Thought worth a try.
Happy with the outcome! I done my hair with big sections and roughly with my brush on the hottest setting 230 just to see how it did and I’m impressed! I know when I go over it again in smaller sections and my comb it will be great. I have used it just the once but one time is enough for me to make an instant review.
The end around the plates do get incredibly hot so when using and hand slips upwards, I kept burning myself but I’m happy with the product.

A great size straightener, no frills. Heats up quickly but the plate feels gentle and not like it’s frying my hair. It comes with a felt sleeve for travel and a has a small switch so you can store it clamped shut with the plates together.

Replacement for the same 1 I’ve had many yrs but eventually packed in, only concern on this one is the on & off button seems a weak plasticy type so time will tell.
This must be my 4th pair of Remington straighteners over 15 years! They do a good job of straightening my wavy hair and nice and affordable. They also don’t wreck my hair like ghds used to! I use the lowest setting and they still straighten or curl (you can twist hair around the barrel to get a wave).
So yes highly recommend
Versatile and great value at this price poi
I purchased for my wife for our recent holiday. Her current set do not work at 120v. These worked perfectly in the UK and abroad, heating up quickly and achieving very high temperatures, if needed. They are a great value set of straighteners.
Was at the hairdressers last week and I’ve got a long bob and noticed I had the thick plates and the hairdresser used thin plate straighteners and straightened my hair so much more efficiently so bought these and love the anti static feature (new to me). My hair looks great first time, others have noticed too. Heats up quickly and love the easy heat adjustment too. Highly recommend. 25 well spent.
They're no GHD's but they're good
So my GHD’s finally died (RIP, never forget) and naturally not having a spare 5 gazillion pounds I couldn’t replace them so bought these as the reviews were good.
The cord is nice and long, you can adjust the temperature and they glide through hair so nicely it makes you go all fuzzy on the inside. Are they as good as GHD’s? No. But they get the job done.
A basic model perhaps
This was recommended by another felter to use on pressing/ flattening felted work and I purchased it for craft work and not for my hair! It does the basic things but don’t know how it would work for straightening hair without using it for that. I am pleased with it for my specific craft use.
Very smooth plates
Heats up to a really good strength but works just as well on a lower heat. Smooth plates. Auto cut off is great when I forget to turn them off. Very pleased with these straighteners.
Impressed
My GHD straighteners broke this week and I was panic stricken! I did some research and decided on these as there were excellent reviews. I must say they are very good and I’m impressed. I have short hair and they are really effective. I won’t be getting my GHD’s repaired as these are just as good but with a much cheaper price tag.
Amazing straightene
GHD may be a big brand but that doesn’t necessarily mean cheaper products are crap. This straightener is so good! It’s just like my 300 straightener. Difference is, it’s a tonne cheaper. It needs some recognition honestly.
amazingly good for the price, fast and efficie
my previous hair straighteners conked out and i picked these as the replacement. they exceeded by expectations as so easy to use and glide through hair easily. i now wonder why i hadn’t replaced my previous ones sooner as these are much better to use. light weight and heat up well.

Was cynical as always been a GHD girl anyway thought they would tide me over and super impressed not going back to GHD after I have had these super, fab and very reasonable
I do have straight manageable hair with no body whatsoever so suit me fine!

I was a little unsure about purchasing these for my fine hair in case it damaged it too much, but having read all the reviews I felt confident they would be ok
When blowing my bobbed hair I could never achieve the sleek look when a hairdresser does it, so once the wind hit it, it always looked a mess with a frizzy look.
The straightners are easy to use & you can adjust the temperature on them, so I’ve been using the lowest setting & I’m achieving the look I want & it is holding style until I wash my hair again after 4 or 5 days.
They heat up really quickly & are not heavy, I don’t know why I waited so long before purchasing as love them.
Having had to send my ghd’s off for repair, I needed to get a cheap pair of straighteners while I was waiting for them to be returned. I picked these ones. The straighteners come with a handy felt case to put them in after using and it has a bit of velcro on, to hold the cord which is nicer than having the cord every where.
The straighteners have a lock switch, which needs pushing in quite hard or they’ll just open again. There’s also an on/off switch rather than a button, this helps avoid accidently turning the things off. I also like the temperature control.
When switching on, they heat up really quickly on the coolest setting, which is still quite hot as I stupidly caught my fingers on the plates. I did turn them up to the hottest setting after a bit, but turned them down again as I felt they were too hot for my hair. I’ve had a bad experience in the past with straighteners over heating and burning off a clump of my hair.
Even though I didn’t have them on full, they straightened my hair super quick! I’m not really one for sectioning my hair little bit by little bit, I’m a “straighten big clumps” kinda girl, so I was suprised at how quick it took and the result, especially as I usually end up with a natural kink, which is hard to straighten, still there. I didn’t even have that.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is because of the smell. I’m sure all new straighteners have it, but the smell when they first heat up is quite strong, although it didn’t make my hair smell. This might wear off with more use though.
Will I go back to my ghd’s when I get them back? To be honest, I’m not sure. I never thought I’d say that as I wasn’t expecting anything amazing for 20 straighteners, but I’m very tempted to stick with these ones. I’ll have to give them a few more uses then decide.
UPDATE 11-1-2018
I’m still using them and they’re still working great. Over Christmas I took my ghd’s to visit the family. They felt chunky and awkward compared to the Remington’s.
I’m also pleased to say, the smell has gone, so it must have just been a “new” smell you get with some products.
One thing I will say is that it’s easy to accidently turn up the heat on the Remington’s, but you can get around that by holding them with the dial to the opposite side, so not really a problem.
In conclusion, I’m sticking with these!

Over a year on and these are still going strong, still great and I’ve still not gone back to the GHD’s.

I’m still using them! I still prefer these over my GHD’s! At the price they are now, you’d be crazy to not get them!
