The item is a gift so I can’t make reference to how it works but presentation, speed of delivery and practicality is super impressive. We have a similar tool and it gets used annually. Stumbled across this little gem.
Great tool
Bought it as a present. Have one myself but returned this particular one as found a cheaper one on the site with 6inch and 4 inch blades included with extra chains
Saker saws are very well made and a delight to look at and handle.
This saw and its peripheral equipment is first class quality except for the trigger. When this suddenly fails it is difficult to get Saker to act on replacement. But…by perseverance I managed to get Saker to replace the whole saw plus they gave me a gift of a new battery, charger, tools and a new 20 volt battery. This was delightful service but only achieved by getting Amazon involved. I would however recommend this maker’s four-inch saw. It works so well…even my wife can use mine to clear four-inch wide branches from our overhanging trees.
Works well
Works well, reason for the dropping one star is that it gathers leaves and twigs in the mechanism that we need to clear, but other than that its a great little time saver.
Does the job perfectly
Loved the balance and the cutting power through thick olive tree branches. You need to ensure the chain adjustment is maintained as with any chainsaw but the spare chains and tools are ideal for a long term investment.
Looks very useful
Having looked into this item, I decided to get one for husband to use. We have a number of tree branches etc, that are a challenge with normal hand saws, so I think it’ll get a good use, roll on spring!
This mini chainsaw works so brilliantly. It is easy to take apart and put back together again. It cuts through tree wood very easily. Be safe and make sure your limbs and body are out of the way. It is so lightweight and beautifully made. Great price and real quality. It’s a game changer.
On the plus side, the saw is great for the price.
On the down side do NOT trust the wrist strap. I climbed up a tree and the strap broke in seconds. This resulted in the saw falling 30ft to the ground and the battery smashing. Thankfully it comes with a second battery and the saw still works.
Also, its not easy to use if you are left handed. Could do with a safety switch on both sides.
Up to just recently, I didn’t know mini chainsaws existed. I was going to buy a full-size chainsaw to trim small branches, but I felt it was somewhat OTT for what I wanted it for, so when I came across the Saker, it was the perfect solution.
Operation is OK. It’s pretty light, and it cuts well and goes through 4″ thick branches easily. It will be interesting to see how long the blades on the chain stay sharp for.
It comes with a few accessories, but not any form of blade sharpener, which would really help. Left-handed people will find it uncomfortable to use because of the position of the safety button you have to press with the trigger. The chain guard can sometimes brush against the chain, leaving wear marks. The chain tensioning screwdriver is also rather short, which makes the procedure rather fiddly.
But all in all, it does the job, and I’m pretty happy with it.
Good not grea
Good product, easy to use, 2 batteries are highly convenient even if they don’t tell you how much battery life there is in them! The chainsaw can be uses up to 6 inch branches, however on smaller items I find that small twigs and leaves get tangled and stuck in the mechanism. It also doesn’t cut perfectly on smaller branches as seen in my video. The set comes with everything you need, safety glasses, gloves, 2x spare chains for the saw. Its a good set, however it has its drawbacks. I suppose it depends on your use for this item.
Good piece of ki
At 109.99 this is quite a good piece of kit, especially if you have some bigger branches in the garden you have to tackle. I was impressed that everything came in such a small little cases but it includes everything including a spare battery which is great! Speaking of battery though, there is now battery indicator for how much power is left, which is possibly why you get a spare battery.. It’s ok if at home but if wanting to take it out to work this maybe a little frustrating. It feels strudy and durable enough and definitely gets the job done for home use.
A useful additional garden tool for very small woodcutting jobs
This is an interesting product, a sort of miniature chainsaw which has proved surprisingly helpful in dealing with thicker tree branches. It is a high quality product with only a couple of niggles.
The chainsaw comes smartly presented in a nice blue case, with a good set of accessories including 2 batteries. Charging from empty to full took slightly over the claimed two hours, but no matter, the usage time is impressive for a product of this size, at between 2 and 3 hours depending on how hard the chainsaw is working.
In use, I found the chainsaw easy to use safely and effectively, with this 6 inch blade preferring slightly thicker branches. The unit does not heat up excessively even with heavy use, and is comfortable to hold.
I would have liked an indicator to show how much battery life was left, but with two batteries included there is no danger of running out mid job, with a bit of forward planning.
Overall an impressive niche product, which obviously won’t replace the use cases for traditional sized chainsaws, but is a useful additional tool for those of us looking for an occasional helping hand with smaller woodcutting jobs.
Mini but powerful
This mini chainsaw is absolutely brilliant. You get a good amount of battery power from one charge. It cuts through bushes with ease and it’s made tidying up my garden much easier.
It’s strong though so make sure you are wearing protective gear as it can splinter the branches somewhat.
It’s a comprehensive bit of kit too and comes with everything you need to tidy your garden up with ease.
I’m really impressed and I definitely recommend this product.
Value for money
This little chainsaw is brilliant, I’ve been so impressed with it, it’s relentless and tough and the battery lasts for ages. Can’t fault it! Very happy with it. Great work saker.

The battery came ready charged but there was no way to tell how much charge was in it other than plugging it in and waiting for the red light to go out. Most modern tools have some way of knowing how much charge is left in the battery but this one leaves me completely in the dark, not too bad as a spare is included.
The battery is easy to fit and it’s quieter in use than many chainsaws. Performs well up to now. Not very good for thin branches as they tend to flap and fly but thicker branches cut well.
Only to be used for wood.
The safety button is on the left and the trigger is in the centre so it could be used with the right or left hand but be aware that the safety button is on the left. Feels nicely balanced and not too heavy.
All in all I think it’s a good buy, if there was some way to tell how much battery was left and they weren’t so skimpy with the chain oil it would get five stars from me.

So bought this sometime ago and used it for the first time today. Small compact and light easy to hold and weild. The lightness does cause a bit of kickback but nothing that is not controllable. I was a bit dubious when I bought this but very happy to say its a great bit of kit. Chainsaw 1 appletree 0
Cut without getting stuck
I found this little gem to be really powerful. Despite its size I managed to cut through a 6 inch fig tree branch. I had to cut on both sides but it did it without getting stuck. It was quick too. I liked that it came with two batteries.
Absolutely spot on easy to use and handle my partner is like a small child with a new toy
