    Good value.
Only used it on the one trip so far. It survived. It was just right for two people on a cold weather trip for about 5 days. The bright colour sets it apart from the black herd of other cases.
Personally I would prefer a pair of good quality inline wheels. I still think that the wheels are a fundamental weakness point and with this model you cannot remove the wheels before you check it in.

    2nd case with samsonite
I bought this to replace my big 2 wheeler suitcase which they do not repair anymore. I had 12 years use out of it as a flight attendant and my case went all over the world. This SCure model wont last that long I can tell already. The plastic profile is alot thinner and lighter and a few cms smaller than my classic 2 wheeler. I chose samsonite over Delsey as I’m not keen on zips on suitcases and also their reputation. Amazon did a great price it was on offer!

Fabulous quality, so easy to control.
Whilst cheaper cases struggle and bend, go out of control when wheeling through airports and break, this Samsonite case is sturdy and reliable. Nothing more to say, other than I will be buying another at some time.

There is no doubting that you get exactly what you expect from a Samsonite case.
As always, well built, lightweight but so sturdy. Does not matter what the baggage handlers do to it, they cannot destroy the case.
    Superb, just what I expected.
Will never buy any other make of case.

High quality and great price on Amazo
Huge discount on Amazon from memory I saved about 60 pounds on the 75cm case. I have the same in another colour for my daughter and she has had it about 4 years. I know they last, they are expensive but you can’t go wrong with Samsonite as a brand. They also have a good repair service.

Super Smart, Leightweight.... a bit of a weird locking mechanism!
Really large case this, big enough to a week or two’s holiday for sure. The case is smart, looks and feels very well made but the locking mechanism was a little strange. There are 3 clips, one on each opening side, the main one has a combination lock, leaving the case and the latch itself secure. The other 2, however, were just clipped in place and i worried that they could if knocked release themselves. With this in mind, I bought a very good baggage strap just in case and the combo was strong 😉

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersExcellent case for TRAVELLING, sturdy, manoeuvrable and secure
If you are looking for a case to just go to and from one hotel, there are cheaper options. For Travelling around or multi centre trips…this is the one. Bought in march 2019, my case has just completed a 2 week touring holiday in Japan. Now has a few scars after being loaded onto trains, planes, hotel trolleys and automobiles. I chose this case because of the triple catch arrangement rather than a zip. Yes a little more expensive but I think inherently a more robust design. Internal compartments are useful to split stuff up for each part of you trip. Recommended for anyone travelling not just going on a fly and flop trip although of course it will do those as well.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersSelf-healing magic suitcase?!
So we took this suitcase on its first long-haul journey last month and on arrival I was horrified to find some *serious* damage – huge dents in the front and one of the corners smashed in as well (see pictures above). I complained to the airline who basically said that unless it was cracked they wouldn’t do anything. I was about to write some angry feedback to Samsonite about the case being unable to withstand the rigours of a flight, but something utterly bizarre happened – at some point in the next 24 hours or so, the case seemed to more-or-less pop back into shape! The smashed in corner is still a bit dented, but the front panel looks good as new – aside from tell-tale scrapes that show the rough treatment it had. It was really weird, but there you go – maybe that’s what these suitcases are designed to do?

    Looks great! Happy buyer!
From the moment I opened the package and I was happy with what I saw. Very neat and tidy, tested the locks, all good. Looks strong enough to carry weight. Have not tested the wheels yet…but they look good as well. It was a bit pricey but worth every penny! Happy to recommend. The only drawback being…I hadn’t realised that my flight ticket only allowed hand luggage!!! You doughnut! I’ll use it next time!

Nothing better at the price... great quality.
I’m a frequent user of cases like this, and my first one of these lasted around 3 years before the wheels finally wore out! That was through weekly use, sometimes being dragged a couple of miles a day across London. Time for a replacement, I bought the identical one again! It’s a good size, light, decent locks, watertight, can be pulled on thin or wide edge on 2 wheels or all 4. Adjustable handle is tough and very handy. I doubt many will go through as tough a life as my first one has – and I’m keeping it as a back up!

    So far so good
First airline trip for case … and even Air France didn’t manage to damage it (and it was only half full). Only 2 minor niggles: The internal cloth pocket seems quite flimsy and not sure what it can accommodate inside without damaging it. So it’s taking up space but not that useful. Secondly, the trolley handle is not that long and attaching a smaller case with a sleeve is more troublesome than with previous Samsonite cases. As I say, minor.

I bought the 79L in aqua blue. Holds a Hugh amount. I packed for a month trip and packed my ordinary pillow inside the case. The four wheels make it really easy to roll through the airport. The fabric divided looks delicate, like it might not last as long as the suitcase itself. Lots of people choosing this colour, had to be careful at the luggage collection belt, so I’m going to get a tag to distinguish it.

    GREAT LITTLE SUITCASE
I love this bag and I waited to make a few trips before posting this review. Love the snap closures instead of the zipper. Love the hard case instead of soft. Rolls great. Handle maybe feels a bit flimsy but it has proved to be quite sturdy. I considered buying others because of the expense of this case but feel that I made the right decision spending more.

    Strong and sturdy.
Arrived a day early which was annoying as I had specified and paid for a set day for delivery and it wasn’t convenient on the day it arrived. It was purchased as a gift as I currently own two of the same suitcases and love them. Easy to pack, wheel along really easily and smoothly, strong and sturdy and wipe clean. Good choice of colours for easy recognition on the luggage carousel. My only detrimental comment is they are quite heavy even when empty and this is not conducive to airline weight travel restrictions but similar brands are the same.

Great suitcase. Larger than I need, But it’s better looking at it than looking for it. Its not too noisy when pushing it along. It’s easy to push along even on rough footpaths. I hardly pulled it at all. I didn’t have it half filled so one side was completely depressed when it came out on the carousel, it popped back out without any stress marks very easily. The combination lock is easy to work. One side has a zipped flap the whole way round the other just a couple of elastic straps. You need to remember which side has the flap when opening it up. I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

If you need a Suitcase without Zips then this is for you – it’s pricey but at least you know your contents aren’t likely to get spewed all over an airport through Gorilla’s in the transport bay and easy to break zips. Of course most manufactures and cases are no going Zip only – sad day really but I’ll bet they are cheaper to fit and lasts less long ensuring you’re back with your purse nice and soon to buy another!!

Samsonite 30 inch rigid case with 3 clamps
Initially setting a personal locking code was quite tricky but once done the case has proven itself. Large, strong, probably baggage handler proof (my last Samsonite has lasted for 15 years and is still in excellent condition) it could benefit from more than one internal zipped side pocket for small items. Very good value.

No zip means far less hassle and better weatherproofing – rolled for 30 mins in heavy rain without a drop of water entry. Also rolled it smoothly all day long with a medium sized stacked on top, perfect wheels plus an indented side handle that helps the aerodynamics. Due to peculiar circumstances I’ve checked it empty at the airport once, no collapse nor damage. Solid casing.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersExcellent quality and met all my needs
I had some basic criteria for a new small suitcase: it had to be small enough to qualify as hand luggage on most airlines, it had to have 4 wheels, and it had to have no external zips.

I do quite a few trips where I can get away with just hand luggage, so I needed one that was small enough for that, but could hold quite a lot in it. This suitcase is fairly basic inside with one open section and the other section has a zipped cover – which is great. It holds lots of stuff in it and I can easily pack a good few days’ worth of clothes in it.

I’d never had a 4-wheel suitcase before (only 2-wheel pull-alongs), but seeing so many in the airport and how easily people can push them along, I wanted to go for one. You have the best of both worlds anyway, as you can also just pull it along on two of its wheels if you want to. It rolls really smoothly too.

Finally, and probably most importantly, I wanted a suitcase with latches rather than zips. These are actually harder to find that I expected. I didn’t want zipped because zips fail. Also zips are less secure and you can easily wedge a pen or screwdriver into a zip to force it open. Also, latches are generally on hard-shell cases and I prefer hard shells plus I find latches feel like they’re holding your suitcase tight shut with little chance of accidentally opening.

As this suitcase met my criteria and it wasn’t too expensive (not cheap, but one of the cheaper Samsonite ones) then I decided it was the one to go for. I ordered red so it stood out more on the carousel (if I ever needed to check it in). Being Samsonite, the build quality is superb and I expect it will last for years.

This is actually a version of the Scure DLX though not named as such. I presume it’s much cheaper than the standard version (155) because it doesn’t come in the metallic colours of the original. The main advantage of the DLX model is the additional handle on top making lifting it more stable. This replaces a Samsonite Aeris which kept bashing my legs every time it was lifted as there was no central handle on top. Straps and zipped compartments inside are also useful. A really robust lightweight suitcase.

Samsonite hard case suitcases always deliver. Many people feel put off by the fact that it’s hard case but if you don’t intend to carry a djembe in them they are by far the most durable and protective suitcases. I ofthe carry bottles and other semi fragile items and never had to put bubble wrap in them. Four cases 2 hands, no issue, a damn sight easier than controlling 2 kids at Heathrow! Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersGreat upgrade from two wheeled case, and a tough travelle
Update at 18 months: Despite spending the last 6 months joining me for on at least two flights a week (as checked luggage) it’s happily going strong.

I have now been using this every week for four months for travelling around the UK with my job. I’ll typically be away for four days during the week, and was previously making do with a smaller laptop wheelie bag – but decided to upsize to a larger bag with four wheels to make staying away more comfortable.

I’m extremely happy with this hard (although still flexible) case, it’s suffered only one or two minor scuffs and is easy to clean after being pulled around in the rain, unlike previous fabric cases. It also doesn’t fray or snag like other soft cases do when being taken on/off trains etc.

    A few observations:
    – It isn’t the lightest. I’m not concerned about this, but a fabric bag will be lighter
    – It isn’t the quietest. The wheels are double wheels, and their mounts on the hard case make a lot more noise when dragging than other four wheeled soft suitcases that colleagues have.
    – If you are trying to pack a lot in, bear in mind the case isn’t as flexible as a soft case. That said, if you fasten the two end clips first, you can easily clip on the side fastener.
    – There are only two storage areas. If you like compartmentalising you will need to buy some packing bags. It would have been nice to have a small pouch for miscellaneous items that you don’t want rattling around in the main areas.

Despite the above, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and would happily buy again.

This is the second one of these we have. We have had the first for a couple of years and when we needed another case we decided that this was our best one for the price. I like the fastenings better than a zip, it is strong and light and easy to wheel.
I would buy another and recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat value, lightweight and efficient.
An excellent suitcase which is very light, seals well with a strong 3 point closure system – much better than a zip, which eventually will let you down at some point. Very good value for a samsonite. The combination lock is easy to operate and the various handles are quite comfortable though you won’t do much carrying as the case is a spinner – 4 wheels – and is nicely balanced – I bought two and recently a further one. 5 stars!

    Excellent!!!
A really nice piece ok kit -very light, well made and secure. Just what I have always come to expect from Samsonite. It wheels very well on lots of different surfaces whether being used upright or pulled at an angle. Inside its well fitted out with a super padded slot that just takes a laptop VERY securely. Overall you get what you pay for- I have now had to buy another for my wife so be warned!

Made from polypropylene so they do mark easily and they do ‘give’ a fair bit when compressed, so I hope they are durable
A light suitcase which can be moved with ease as the four wheels rotate so you can push them along in the upright position or tilt them and pull with an adjustable handle
Easy to open and close with three strong clips and a coded lock
They arrived quickly and delivered by the regular post man which was ideal

Sturdy, beautiful and practical in the best Samsonite tradition. And relatively light for its size, which helps because something this big gets easily filled past airline baggage limitations. I am always worried about four-wheelers because the wheels are often delicate and break off. This one has taken a couple of intercontinental trips and so far, so good…

I’ve had one of these cases for a while and love it so much I bought one for my wife. Mine has traveled around the world (literally) and taken a real beating but the seal remains intact and there is no damage beyond scuffs. The wheels also still rotate nicely. I’d recommend this case in a heartbeat if you do enough travelling to warrant spending the amount of money required.

    Just perfect as is lightweigh
Prompt arrival, as described. Just perfect as is lightweight, easy to spot on the carousel and the 4-wheel system makes manoeuvring around easy. There really is plenty of room in this case for a weeks holiday in the sun. I could probably get away with using it for a skiing holiday, holding boots, salopettes and jumpers. Can’t fault the case or seller.

I’m a road warrior. The lightness of this case is good with international flights, the robustness means it still looks good after a few long trips.

Locking mechanism works well, the clasps too bit take some getting used to.

Delighted with this product which we bought as we were going to USA and needed the required locking system and also for trip to South America where robustness and security are mandatory. Had no issues in setting the security code (as long as you are careful), the mobility is ace even on stroppy pavements and capacity was just right. Scored it 4 because of the lack of webbing on one side which has not been a problem for me personally but my wife preferred to have a zipped pocket on both sides.

More affordable than in the store. That’s a plus. Overall quality is good. Easy to maneuver. Quality wheels. Inside where the enclose zipped area tends to “thread out”. Have to be cutting smal threading off to ensure it doesn’t pull off everything.
Combination code was easy to activate. Easy to open and close. Gives you that peace of mind that your items are safe and secure.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersit's still light and very easy to maneuve
I have had this case for about half a year now and have done a fair bit of travelling with it. So far, I am loving it. Although this is a big suitcase (make sure you have a fair idea of the size before you order it), it’s still light and very easy to maneuver. I am a fairly small person (compared to this suitcase at least) and yet have not had any issues with wheeling it around. I find it very sturdy, the locks work great and I think it does a good job of keeping water out. When I travel for more than a week I like to pack as much of my wardrobe as I can possibly carry and this suitcase can usually accommodate most of the stuff I am convinced I need to bring with me. I also love the colour (I have the mint blue version).

One word of advice, if you’re not going to pack it full regularly, you should order the smaller size, as this might dent if not packed to the brim. I have had to leave it half empty on a return trip and my pretty suitcase looked pretty sad when I picked it up. The empty side was a bit dent, but luckily went back to its original shape quickly.

    Sturdy, easy to manoeuvre
Sturdy, easy to manoeuvre, light and packs a lot in. only thing to be aware of is that it starts moving on trains or buses or any sloped area and there is no way to keep it upright and stationary. need to keep it on its side or just hold on to it. needed to keep an eye on it as it started moving off on a train platform, had to quickly grab hold of it. another point is that there were lots of people who had the exact same one at the airport, so easy to get it mixed up, best to make it distinct with a tag of some sort.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersOne trip & the case is buckled but reformed after a week.
Having had a Samsonite case since 1987 that had travelled the globe & stood up to some serious battering. One time coming back from New York it had tyre tracks over the top & was pretty squashed. I popped open the lock & it instantly went back to shape. So with this type of quality & having seen 4 wheel cases at airports I thought I’d treat myself to the S’cure 81. When it arrived it looked like I’d ordered a wardrobe on wheels as this thing is massive. Anyway despite my best effort not to pack too much it was easily swallowed up in this case. After the outbound trip it arrived pretty scuffed but to be honest I wasn’t too bothered as I expect it to have a hard time on its travels. On the return it was a different story as it looked like someone had used it as a trampoline with the front caved in. I took it over to the baggage damage office at the airport to show them the state of it & said I would open it to see if it reformed like my previous case. On opening the case it stayed as it was. The lady said there was nothing they were going to do & that I should reform it with a hairdryer. To be honest the case is super lightweight & pliable but it was packed to the gills so was hard to squash. After a week of just being left stood in the spare room waiting to go a way in the loft I was surprised to see that it had reformed itself perfectly. One thing I’m not keen on isthe TSA lock either as it sounds they’re really simple to unlock without the special key.
If you like this style of case I would go for the 75 or possibly the smaller 69cm version unless you are taking away a lot of gear. I just think this case will get badly damaged if not totally packed out.

Certainly meets my expectations, proof of the pudding will be when I actually use it. Looks and feels strong in construction, it will need to be when faced by the baggage handlers. Will post comments after first use..
Have now used it on an American trip. Suffice to say the case stood up well to the abuse it got, judging by some of the unfortunate cases on the carousel. Very easy to handle and very secure with the two side fasteners. One tip to pass on – when they attach the baggage sticky label to the case make sure it adheres well as the surface is slightly dimpled and the label if not firmly attached may come off. Would recommend the case to anybody…

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersoverall I think this case is pretty good. Purchased two from Amazon and just used ...
So, overall I think this case is pretty good. Purchased two from Amazon and just used them for a two week tour, four flights and five hotels. Like a lot of reviewers here, I was looking for something to supplement my now ageing collection of Samsonite Oysters (clearly the best suitcase ever made).

Big plus of this case is the excellent mobility – the wheels are great and so far have survived unscathed.

So-so is the robustness – as others have commented, unless the bag is packed fairly solidly it may well come off the line with a big ding in it, but, as others have also commented it will pop back out again. Time will tell how well it lasts, never had that even with a half empty Oyster.

Negative – I should have figured this out before I bought it, it is so obvious, but there you go: this case is hinged in the middle, meaning you pack half your stuff in the “top” and zip the internal cover over it, and half your stuff in the bottom. Meaning you lift everything in the top over to close the bag. All of which is fine, but it means most of the places to put your bag in a hotel will not accommodate it – you can’t put it on a shelf and open the top against a wall. This can be a pain if you are hotel hopping like we were.

Otherwise it is up to the usual standard you would expect from Samsonite, great handle and clasps. Also has the joke TSA lock on it, please don’t tell me you are one of the people who thinks there is a baggage handler anywhere on the planet who can’t open any bag after two weeks on the job – the only purpose of suitcase locks is to reduce the chance of your bag popping open in transit, please remember that and don’t put anything in the hold you can’t easily replace.

The bag weighs about 4kg when empty. With a reasonable mix of clothes, shoes, toiletries and general purpose junk (but no books) it was nudging 20kg so on many airlines that’s your economy class weight allowance, meaning this size is about right for that.

All in all a good case, apart from the kinking and the centre hinge thing which I should have spotted myself – doh!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersClam Shell case - to replace old Samsonite (2 wheel) Oyster case
Clam shell Samsonite case – as per other reviewers I such prefer to zip ones.
Not yet used, but I have an old Samsonite Oyster case and this seems to be as close a replacement as one can get. Looks well made and like it might last just as long (over 10 years).
I’m not that keen on internal dividers so may remove – plastic “clip” fixing so should be possible without breaking anything / leaving “reusable”, but will need to be very careful / take it “slowly”!. However, lower part of this is a zip pocket (look closely at photos) and it’s part of the divider – so may just decide to leave as is / with main area unzipped.
Wheels, etc., look OK for may miles / trips – time will tell !.
No “sticky letters”, etc., came with the case, so you will need to provide such if you want to personalise the outside of the case (hopefully to stop others taking it in error at airport !!).
Weighs c4.2KG, as per description – so quite lightweight, especially for a “solid” case.
Looks like it will protect internal items (almost) as well as the old Oyster case did.
Slide handle frame is always going to be a problem with my Ski boots, etc. – but this one seems better that others I’ve tried.
(Flat “bottom” was one of the major benefits of the old Oyster case – but then that only had 2 wheels and no “slide” handle / TSA lock.)
Main and the two side locking clips look very unlikely to come open on flights (if you slide the “lock” bits on the side ones) – very similar to my old Oyster case and they have never come undone in over 10 years of use.)

If it’s the size / type / price you are looking for, can certainly recommend it.
N.B. difference between this and “deluxe” version is just the internal bits.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersNo problems
Both my wife and I got new smaller cases at the same time to comply with what seems to be a tightening up of allowances by some airlines. We did get different colours though, to avoid the risk of cross dressing at our destination. We checked these into the hold on an EasyJet trip but there seemed to be plenty of other passengers with cases of at least equivalent size in the cabin. So far only one trip but both cases performed well and stood up to the rigours of baggage handling with no more than a few scratches. The locks seem robust enough to withstand the risk of them breaking open in transit and the wheels are still on after being dragged over the cobblestones of Florence. The cases are light for their strength so don’t absorb too much of the baggage allowance and they were big enough for us on a one week trip. Overall they live up to the good Samsonite reputation.

The Samsonite Trolley S’Cure arrived very promptly. I have not taken it anywhere yet, but the wheels work very well and it operates smoothly.(without anything in it). It was fairly easy to open with locks at the top and bottom, and the central lock . Instructions were included in the case. The top panel has a zipped liner, and it would be good to have that in the bottom, but that is available with the more expensive model. Bought from Marken Koffer. Arrived very quickly by DHL and was well packaged, excellent service. It is a very strong looking well constructed case. Moves easily on the double wheel system. Looks good. I would recommend. 29/10 UPDATE: After one summer of use and 5 return short haul flights my impression of this case just gets better . It is showing no signs wear or distress. A useful additional benefit of this case is the 20Kg limit imposed by many airlines. The 20Kg restriction leaves plenty of interior volume so your clothes are not packed too tightly and creasing is minimised. It’s almost fun moving it around the terminal!
