Good but not grea
My son has the earlier version of this and the sound is great which is why I opted for this one. While it’s good I just thought that the updated version would be at least equal to or better than the old version but I don’t think it is
Truly impressive, rich sound, but...
This is a very impressive soundbar, with an excellent range and frequency response and plenty of power. No need to feed the TV’s output through my hi-fi system with its Focal speakers and sub woofer. This unit replaces a recently purchased Majority Teton soundbar that wasn’t bad, but could be boomy with voice at times. Choosing adaptive output on the Samsung is excellent. The instructions are brief, so I downloaded the manual, which is a mixed blessing. References to an LED display on the soundbar are puzzling, since you never get to see them! Only once have they appeared which was when I phoned Amazon to find out if this was normal. I was connected to a techie in the Philippines who assured me the non appearance of lights was quite normal and since the soundbar is otherwise working well, I decided to leave it at that.
There is no on/standby light on the SB6, unlike its Majority predecessor, so there is no visible way to tell whether it’s on or off. Not a big deal, but the LEDs that are supposed to confirm a change of function don’t light up though, so you have no way of knowing, except for the voice confirmation, which you may not be able to hear over the sound from what you are watching.
On the whole I have decided that the good outweighs the slightly irritating and that I will keep the soundbar and not return it. Perhaps it will correct itself in a WiFi firmware upgrade at some point. I miss the on/off indication, however, which slightly takes the shine off what is otherwise an excellent product.
I had the predecessor of this bar the S60B but always felt that it lacked in wired performance with only HMDI ARC – as a result it could not use Dolby Atmos without using WI FI which I did not like. However the D model now has eARC that allows for wired connectivity and gives you uncompressed audio. Much better. In most respects its other features are like the S60B. The system voice is louder and easier to hear. I am not sure if the speakers have been upgraded or not from the previous model. However it sounds excelent with good bass on the bar, however I have paired mine to a Samsung subwoofer and the setup sounds great. The price difference between the S60B and S60D is considerable however the ability to use best quality audio may be woth the price.
Great sound confusing remote
Great sound from such a small device the biggest gripe is the minimalist display which means you are reliant on the remote control and voice responses
Can be controlled directly via the tv remote or my Samsung SmartThings app but sort of defeats the point of the remote control
YES!
So with tv’s getting thinner there is less space for good speakers in newer tv’s so my tv speakers where garbage for the price.
I got this sound bar and it is a game changer, sound is amazing, bass it not too harsh and it’s literally plug and play.
Biggest bonus is that it doesn’t have that stupid rgb that some sound bars have so it’s nice and stealth.
Good product, I do recommend this
Great value!
Has certainly boosted the sound quality!
Pairs well with a Samsung TV, fairly easy to instal (I’m not good with gadgets!), but the indicator light is very small and difficult to see.
Unobtrusive.
Paired this with a Samsung Serif TV which is also white, soundbar sits on top of the set and doesn’t look out of place. Very easy to connect up and being Samsung can be adjusted from the TV menu. Connectivity through Bluetooth and WiFi both excellent and the sound quality is impressive for its size.
Works well with a Samsung TV
East to set up with a Samsung TV, Connected by blue tooth. good sound. There is a slight pause in sound 0.25 seconds when going from pause to play on the TV.
My first Soundbar.
This is just the Job as An Enhancement to The Sound output from my TV.
I’m not very Tech savy, and Only have a small living room.Took some Time to Set up the Way I Wanted but Seems good value for money, And Reasonable Quality. Pretty Pleased overall.
The Soundbar has quality 👌 sound. I love it but ..
Thr soundbar is of good quality, boom sound. The only problem is that Spotify doesn’t work with Alexa.
Alexa keeps on telling me that Spotify is not set into the device. But you can play the music direct from Spotify app to the soundbar. The problem is, when you don’t wanna use the phone app and instead use the Spotify on the soundbar that’s not working at all. I’ve been following up on other Samsung soundbar with Spotify and Alexa issues and it seems all Samsung soundbar have the problem with this issue.
Worth i
I was in the search for a 5.1 ch soundbar with bluetooth. The likes of Sonos have good soundbars as well – but no bluetooth unfortunately.
Love the sound and the aesthetics of this soundbar.
