As I am no longer 21 this is a little heavy for me but it has such good suction on it that’s a minor consideration. I didn’t realise how badly my old Dyson was performing until I used my new Shark everything looks so fresh and clean.

I had been using a Dyson upright for years but it broke and couldn’t be repaired so I thought I’d try the Shark, having read the reviews on line.
It’s brilliant. Light so easy to empty and the fact you can take off the main body when doing the stairs. Is so useful. I couldn’t believe the dirt that came off my carpet and I vacuum everyday. I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

Replacing an old Dyson, it has a very good suction and cleaning action, my wife says its a lovely cleaner,very good length of cord allows unit to be used in other rooms without disconnecting, clever release allows cylinder to be lifted clear of rotating head to allow stair cleaning with hand accessory. a really good replacement.

I rarely write reviews but got this on a post Christmas deal for 149 and went for it. It is the best cleaner I’ve ever had. There are settings for hard floor and carpets and they both work brilliantly. I have two long haired cats and so hoover each day but when I’ve used this cleaner for the first time it’s pulled up so much more dust and dirt and pet hair than you’d believe. Recommend +++ it’s a great buy.
This is my 2nd Shark, the previous one being about 6-7 years old and needing replacing.
All I can say is WOW! I thought the other one cleaned my carpets, this is on a whole new level though.
With massively improved suction, this practically lifted the carpets from the floor.
Pet hair, dust, you name it – this Shark was getting it all. I was shocked to see how much was actually being removed.
I wish I’d replaced the old one before – plus with the money off it was a fantastic price.

Already owned other Shark Vacs, so knew they were good, but having two dogs and me having long hair, the rollers were always getting clogged. This vac is better than the other Sharks I have – loads more suction, larger dirt bin and the anti-hair wrap really does work. Cleaned the whole house yesterday (and it was in dire need!) and at the end thought I ought to check and clean the roller – not a single hair on it! The lift away is great for doing the stairs and for reaching high up. The car detailing kit is also good for getting into smaller spaces (sides of cupboards, radiators etc). No spare filter with this one, so will need to order one, but brilliant vacuum.

My goodness this collects dust and hair out of the carpets and the light shows everything. Really rewarding to do the hoovering now. It is heavy and a bit unwieldy but it’s really worth it.
I brought this for myself to try out first. I was so amazed that I then brought one for my elderly mum. She absolutely loves it. It’s exactly what she was looking for. Somthing light which she can easily move around the house.. The stairs and upstairs too. She’s so happy.
I was put off at first by a video which I watched showing that this huver wouldn’t move on the carpet, but I thought id risk buying it reading the positive reviews. I’m so glad I did take that risk. It’s the best vacuum I ever brought! If the suction does get too powerful, you have the slider on the handle to make it less powerful. It’s amazing

This is an amazing vacuum cleaner – we had a Henry before and this knocks the socks off that. I can’t believe how much dust and pet hair it picks up – it’s unbelievable. I don’t really get excited by cleaning products but this is excellent, easy to manoeuvre and doesn’t take up much space

A VAX user for several years decided to change a rotating brush upright, choosing Shark based on reviews and an Amazon Black Friday deal. I could not believe what was dragged out of my carpet. I am going to add an air freshener to the cylinder. I am a tad particular about the filters in my vacuum and hope that, with TLC, filters will not be costly. Gentle note. an upright is far easier than a cylinder.
Excellent suction power!
I am amazed how strong this vacuum is. Got it cheap as black friday. I never wanted a cordless vacuum as battery deteriorates. The 8M cord is long enough for me to reach any place in my home. The only downside is that its heavy especially when cleaning carpets but I really dont mind as long as it does the job.
Cable Length
Bought to replace our flagging Dyson-like everything about this vacuum except for the cable length of 8m. The Dyson with10m cable length reached everywhere downstairs without unplugging but the Shark with 8m cable length doesn’t and that is an issue of reduction of ease and convenience for us, that we could have done without-but we didn’t think about that at the time of purchase.

I’m so impressed with this hoover ….sharing my home with 4 british shorthair cats and a old English bulldog I’ve never felt my home was hair free after hours of hoovering, , I first time I used my new shark I was left thinking what the hell was my last hoover doing as after hoovering 2 bedrooms and a landing 2 cat trees I had completely filled it up the rooms looked and felt so clean and hair freei am completely in love with this product well worth the money
Best hoover I’ve had
I spent a lot of time looking for a hoover and decided to go for this one and I’m so glad I did. I’ve had dysons and cordless in the past but now I have a whole house of carpet I wanted something that’ll last and so the job. This hoover is brilliant I cannot fault it. The suction is great and has two settings, the lift away is so easy and brilliant for stairs etc. it is heavier than I thought but I think I’m just used to stick hoovers so can feel like a workout but the suction can be lowered so it’s not as hard. I just love this and also I got it on Amazon deal day so didn’t even have to pay out a lot of money. Really pleased with this and would definitely recommend

This is a very good cleaner the suction is amazing it almost lifted my carpets a little on the heavy side but that might just be me I can highly recommend it to do s very ggd job
Really good hoove
Got this as a replacement for an old dyson that died on me and definitely don’t regret it! It’s a powerful machine that gets the job done well on both hard floors and carpets. It’s a bit heavy to lug around so probably not the ideal choice if you’re looking for a lightweight hoover, but if thats not a concern then it’s definitely worth it for performance!

So I only submit reviews when I feel that it particularly warrants it and, I’m delighted to say that this product certainly does. I’ve used various vacuum’s over the years but Shark are on a totally different level, yes having it on max for carpets is a bit hard going but the suction that you get makes it worth every effort! I would totally recommend.
A great buy
I’m so pleased I bought this vacuum as it works well on both carpets and hard floors. I also love that the cylinder part detaches which makes light work of vacuuming hard to get at areas like ceiling corners. Simple to assemble with clear instructions.
This is a powerful vaccum hover but it is quite heavy and does not wheel lightly across the carpet. You need to ensure that you have the slider on the handle set to minimum or it is really heavy going. However this small issue is more than made up for by the suction power it delivers. Tools are stored onboarding which is very handy. You can detach at the handle or the entire hose which is great for hovering at a height and low down. Great for stairs as the main body detaches. All round I am very pleased. 4 stars just because of the weight.
Firstly, the suction on this vacuum is incredible! I love the look of this vacuum. It’s easy to assemble, easy to use and easy to clean. I found it a little more difficult to manoeuvre when on max suction is on, but I prefer having the the suction power on max for deep cleaning – so no real problem for me. It’s super easy to move around on the min suction setting and it still sucks well. I have used it on hard floors, carpets and my couches and love how it functions on all surfaces.
Overall very, very happy and would definitely buy this vacuum again !

what i loved when i got this was everything simply clicked into place, no screw drivers needed.
it’s so versatile , the wand unclicks along with other parts to make cleaning fun.
it is light, but maybe with so many parts removeable and the lifting weight a frail person may struggle.
would i recommend YES , it has done a great job the floor is evident given that we have a dog as well.
Really happy with this cleaner. It wasn’t too noisy and not too heavy then again it’s not super quiet or very light. I felt it was acceptably noisy and not too heavy. It really did the job though and I also enjoyed using. I got in downstairs cupboard easily as handle detaches. I would have like more tools as standard that’s all. It’s well built and easy to move and clean out. I’m a fan of this now and highly recommend it and the brand

Over six decades and numerous name brand vacuum cleaners of at least 3 X the cost of the shark, I can honestly say it my Best Buy yet! It’s Small & Compact making it easy to tuck away. It’s Lightweight, so very easy to use. Easy maintenance to keep that beautiful new look. The fact that you can vacuum almost every type of floor covering and then the conversion to a canister vacuum it’s a joy to use on ceilings, drapery, furniture and car. It can deal with my pets moulting and has great suction for such low wattage. It’s a real all in one. Time to get rid of the Dyson -it’s definitely an equal if not better, certainly much easier. The car vac and the canister vac will also go to the boot sale. Such excellent value for money the only improvement I can think of is perhaps a longer hose (8ft ceilings) and a larger dust cup. Filters are quite easy to maintain and no dust or odour in the air. Quite pleased overall
This vacuum cleaner could well be a first choice for customers who cannot afford to pay for a comparable UK/Singaporean) Dyson brand unit. Shark could well however provide clearer guidance for unboxing and assembly the different parts of the unit. I nearly threw away the felt and sponge filters, mistaking them to be protective packaging. One also has to find out in different sections in the users manual how the different compartments can be opened and cleaned. A YouTube video on unboxing would be welcome.
It is amusing that on receiving the package, the words “Made in China” stand out on the box — in largest font. This led me to check whether Shark is a Chinese-owned company — which turns out not to be. It is in fact American. (Not that this makes any difference for me.) But in today’s geopolitical climate, to help customers to make more informed decisions, Amazon could well be more transparent on where items are assembled, designed, and who owns the brand.
Good vacuum cleane
Looks to be much better than the more expensive Miele that it replaces. Early days yet, but Shark claim that they do not build-in planned obsolescence, so here’s hoping.

A great vacuum, but not lightweigh
After paying a fortune for a Dyson 10 cordless which was rubbish and I hated from the start, we got a different cheaper cordless, which was okay, but having a GSD we really needed something that could tackle his hair. This vacuum works great and I feel it really gets the floors clean, both carpeted and otherwise. The only downside is that it isn’t lightweight and is a hefty thing to carry upstairs to vacuum up there – or maybe I’ve simply become a lightweight myself!

This hoover is a huge improvement on my GTech one, that I have used for years. It is powerful & shifts dirt you don’t even know is there. It’s a great product. Love the Rose colour to. It might be a little heavy to use on the Carpet Suction, for some people. And that is on the lowest Suction level. My only thought would be, to make the hook to hold the cable in, whilst hoovering a little larger. As the cable constantly slips off the hook. With a lower back problem, I don’t want to keep bending down to pick the lead up. Having had Rechargeable hoovers in the past. I am really pleased I have gone back to a cable hoover. I could never hoover through my property, before the charge wore out.
Housework is once again not hard work
I would not hesitate to recommend this hoover. It is not heavy to use and has a great switch system for suction facility to use on carpets or hard floors. I find stairs now easy to clean and as I am a little older! I am not left tired after doing just one room as was the case with my old hoover. Was a bit shocked with how much dust and hair I picked up when using it for the first time but what a difference. Well pleased!

It’s very easy to use and my granddaughter uses it too and she’s only 6 and my carpets clean and and laminate floor is is very easy to clean and I use the pipe aswell and the pipes easy to use too I recommend it too everybody
I’ve got a cat, a indoor cat that sheds year round. I’ve had many hovers that claim the world, pick up all dirt, pet hair, solve complex equations and solve my love problems. But they always fail and always only do a sub par job.
Decided to be adult and invest in a good hover, a hover that many claim and show can actually do the job it lists.
Going through just 3 rooms of my flat, I filled the entire waste container. Something other hovers would take 2/3 full cleans before being full. My carpet that I thought had turned from white to off white due to age, had its white come back again. The shark removed all the eyars of stuck down, walked over pet hairs that I thought was a colour change, and did it effortlessly.
Can’t belive the performance from such a small and light unit. Has to be some 8th level magic enchantment causing it to be so strong in cleaning yet so light and manoeuvrable.
I’m impressed and beyond happy, it’s a hover and I’m exited about it. I’m happy to clean again because I actually feel like I am cleaning.
This is going to help any allergies, loose pet hairs in the air, dust, cat litter, Ash, dropped food, discarded hopes and dreams. It’ll clean up the lot.
I send the message out to all that are thinking about getting a shark. Take the plunge and get one, ita the first of all my hovers that has actually done a complete job as advertised. If you are curious, find a friend that has one and borrow for a week and test, I am confident you’d buy one after a test.

This is by far the best of the Shark hoovers that I have purchased. A must is the ‘anti hair wrap’ this is the icing on the cake for me. No having to clean hair off the rollers every day. The Hoover is light, powerful and leaves lovely lines on the carpet when you Hoover. The price was superb too.

Bought this to replace a cordless. It’s a great vacuum, but having had a cordless it’s a little unwieldy. That said it picks up great and is fairly light weigh
This is an attractive looking vacuum, and when it’s empty it light weight to carry up and down the stairs. It requires regular cleaning of the contents. The suction power is great and the way it glides across carpet and hard floors is good and can get to awkward corners easily too.
It’s not as great when cleaning the stairs, it’s bit fiddly, there is nowhere on the shark to hook the cable once you’ve finished, which makes it be messy in my opinion.
It is good value for money once you got used to handling it. I would recommend the cordless shark which is what I will invest in once this one has had its day.

It wasn’t dark navy by the way! However, it had started to spit out more than it was hoovering and rather stupidly I hadn’t registered it….. and it still has a few months warranty left. So, decided – after much toing and froing, to replace it – there are so many Shark models. This new model is not as solid as the 801, has a lot more plastic making up the frame and the wand is shorter. Why do manufacturers always revert to plastic over time when we are supposed to be reducing plastic use? I’ve only had it a few days, so time will tell whether it will stand the test in our household – Our hoovers really do have to be workhorses! I don’t like the on/off switch (seems a bit cheap and basic) and you can’t adjust the suction particularly on this model. Its either min or max. The hard floor/carpet switch is the same. I didn’t need pet hair as both animals died in 2022, but went for the anti hairwrap model so paid a bit more than the lower model. I wouldn’t buy a Stratos because I don’t need the features it offers and the price is not within my budget. I suspect that it has a lot of plastic anyway. If this model fails, I will go back to Dyson.
The power is mental. I use my old Hoover first which was a shark and I’ve had for about 3 years and then I went over with it, with the new one, Oh my god, the amount of dust and dirt came off it compared to it is crazy. Good for hard flooring. Good for carpet. Only downside I would probably say was the stairs isn’t as good as I thought it was going to be. That’s the reason why I gave it a four star, not a five-star. Especially with most pictures. Are people holding it with the stairs.
For example, if you really want to go at it at the stairs, there’s no way you’re holding it and hoovering at the same time. So then It becomes fiddly but does the job.
It’s a little bit heavy and a bit of work out when hold it but it’s good. Smooth moving And you have the option to have less suction if it is too strong to push.
All in all very very good Hoover Just a few tweaks probably need to be done but 4 stars are still very good
My partner and I were completely underwhelmed when we opened the box and extracted this minature vacuum cleaner. Having said that, I like a lot of things about it, it’s small and easy to manouvre, it has headlights which light up the dust/dirt, it’s easy to unclip the pod thing and use on the stairs, the suction seems really strong and it has certainly brought A LOT of dust and dirt out of the carpets I didn’t know was there. My only real gripe is that it feels so flimsy and flaky, I can not see any way it will last 5 weeks let alone 5 years (glad for the 5 year warranty). It also does not seem to like running against or across the weave direction of the carpet and because it’s so light it just bounces about unless you follow the grain. I think I have been spoiled as I have had a dyson upright for years and years and have been really very pleased with it, however I do not seem able to buy a new upright dyson and didn’t want a rechargable, hence taking a chance on this one. Obviously I should try to reserve judgement as maybe this little thing will last until the end of the warranty. Having read many positive reviews before I bought it and not having tried any other alternative vacuums on the market now, I still would not recommend it.
