For years I’ve had an ear that got so irritated from sleeping on that side that bled – a lot. The dermatologist suggested a pillow with a hole. After researching several I chose the PWAH. as it was almost full size, came with a pillow case and that case covered not just the main pillow but also the hole. The firmness is infinitely adjustable as well. Very pleased with it.
My dermatologist recommended I get this type of pillow to prevent precancerous lesions I keep getting on my ears….I’m a side sleeper and prone to skin cancers.
I had ordered a pillow for $40 or so and it was the size of a throw pillow and too firm for me. This is a really comfortable bed pillow..the size of a regular pillow and is so so great.

I have been waking up with a painful ear at night for years. I found these pillows on Amazon and decided anything was worth a try. I haven’t woken up once with ear pain since the first night after receiving my pillow. It is excellent, perfect size and firmness (although I see you can remove some of the inner if you wanted to). I have just washed the cover for the first time, easy to remove and refit. I was a bit hesitant as it is a lot of money for a pillow after all, but it’s worth every penny!!
I was treated by my GP for ear pain at night and diagnosed with C.N.H. She recommended me buying a pillow with a hole. I bought the latest PWAH company V2 pillow . The pillow case is cool and silky and after I had removed a quantity of the filling I eventually found the softness I needed. It took me a week to get used to sleeping on it, but the ear pain is gone and I am sleeping much better. Highly recommended.
I LOVE my PWAH, it has changed my life. I also travel a lot and as a result my PWAH travels with me wherever I go. As the original pillow case is white, I have left it behind a few times… I wanted a nice vibrant colour to ensure I never leave it behind again. I was so pleased to see my favourite colour was available. It arrived today and as you can see, its a perfect fit and really looks great. This pillow really does exactly what is advertised regarding ear pain relief. It is a small British company who make quality handmade products which I really like. I am going to make a second purchase which is a travel pillow.

I bought the Original PWAH Version 2 as I have noisy neighbors and use active noise cancelling earbuds (QuietOn 3.1). Although these are less obtrusive than larger noise cancelling ear phones I still had some pressure on the ear making it difficult to sleep (I’m a side sleeper). Having searched online for solutions, I came across the Original Pillow with a Hole on Amazon. Using the pillow for a few weeks, I must say I am very pleased. No ear pressure using the earbuds and the pillow itself is very comfortable and keeps cool overnight. It is a high quality product and comes with pillow case and nice packaging.
I have tried various alternatives which all failed to aid me. This pillow however is the bees knees and is helping me no end to ease the discomfort I have in my ears, highly recommended.

I understand this is a new version of the pillow with a hole and, as far as I’m concerned, it’s a success. The tencel pillow cover is very soft on the ear and the medium firmness of the pillow ensures that the hole does not fold up when lying on it. I am pleased that the filling is not the ubiquitous memory foam as it does not emit gases and air is freer to circulate. All in all a good example of English workmanship and invention.
I bought one of these pillows for my mum who had been suffering with a sore and painful ear for some time before seeing a doctor who prescribed steroid cream but not one of your pillows!
Really feel that the doctors should be prescribing these pillows because they work – the sore has healed and she has a more restful nights sleep now. Thoroughly recommend them
Very happy with how this turned out. Exceptional quality and solved my problem. It looks like it will last a long time so I will continue to use it.
I have at least four other brands of pillows with ear holes but they’re just uncomfortable. With this one, the hole is large enough and there is no fabric in the way. Also, it’s so comfortable – not too soft, not too firm, and the right thickness.
I did buy the coil and love it. Try it, you will too. This is a great company! You can’t go wrong with their pillows.A+++
I used to suffer from recurring ear infections, but now, especially with PHAH V2, my ears are able to breathe at night helping to keep my ears healthy.
I use headphones in bad, especially when I’m sharing space on holiday, but they are uncomfortable to lie on. So the pillow with a hole is perfect! So I can listen on my side with one headpiece softly ensconced in the hole.

Been a fan of PWAH pillows for a few years now. Have to say this v2 is a fantastic evolution on the concept. It’s not cheap, but it is the best!
