Bought this to upgrade my tired old CH pro throttle. Was not disappointed, the quality feels really good and it’s a weighty piece of gear. The throttle is very precise and has definitely improved my throttle control in DCS and IL2 BoX.
I have just purchased the new Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttle. It’s extremely robust and well made and it works perfectly out-of-the-box. The price that I paid on Amazon was at least 50 cheaper than the next best price and this is the Mk 2 version which now has the greatly improved slew gimble. All in all, a brilliant purchase and many thanks for making this item available at such a brilliant price.
No encontraras nada mejor en relacion calidad/precio, ni Virpil, ni VKB, ni WingWing. Unos excelentes acabados aunque tengo que decir que si bien la base del Joy si es de 16bits con el throtle no pasa lo mismo, y esto puede llegar a engaos, aun con todo precision total y cero holguras, unos pulsadores y botones con un excelente tacto.
Lo que ms me ha gustado es la palanca de gases que es muy precisa y la sensacin de realidad.
Lo que menos los interruptores que son muy duros y difcil de mover rpidamente.
It feels great. The only thing is for some games there might be compatibility issues. I don’t think it’s Thrustmaster’s fault, it’s just games like Ace Combat 7 runs weird, and damn near every flight stick has this issue; however, this thing works like a dream in Project Wingman. I’m excited to see how this will work with Elite Dangerous and DCS. I’m total noob in those titles. I paired this with a T16000M FCS joystick and it feels good. This gear gives me the confidence of trying the more recent Microsoft Flight Simulator……. maybe
Qualit costruttiva incredibile, di hotas ne ho provati molti, dall’X52 all’X56, fino al Thrustmaster Airbus per l’uso con simulatori di volo civili, tuttavia cercavo una manetta per i motori che si adattasse sia al volo civile che a simulatori militari come DCS.
Nulla si avvicina neanche lontanamente al livello dell’Hotas Warthog.
Come indicato dal nome, replica la manetta del caccia da attacco al suolo A-10, e com’ ovvio che sia se utilizzata su DCS insieme a suddetto modulo, da il massimo del suo potenziale.
Pesantissima, costruita in metallo pieno, forte illuminazione, ogni switch bello tosto e preciso al millimetro, una solidit generale unica. Si adatta alla grande a qualsiasi modulo, ma naturalmente l’elevato numero di switch e controlli rende questa manetta principalmente indicata per i simulatori di combattimento.
L’esperienza in gioco non perde un colpo, i comandi rispondono alla perfezione e calibrare ogni singolo aspetto semplicissimo, il software TARGET funzionante e abbastanza intuitivo.
La differenza tra questo HOTAS e una controparte economica evidentissima anche solo dal feeling restituito dalle manette quando le si muovono, precise e solide al punto giusto.
Purtroppo ho preso solo la manetta per i motori, ma vista l’altissima qualit valuter senz’altro anche l’acquisto dello stick.
Se amate la simulazione di volo un investimento meritevole che vi sapr ripagare in pieno. Il prezzo non basso, ma merita fino all’ultimo centesimo.
Tipica nota di merito per Amazon che non sbaglia mai un colpo.
Auf der Suche nach einer “High End” Throttle kam ich an der Warthog nicht vorbei. Der Grund ist ziemlich simpel und hat mit finanziellen berlegungen zu tun. Ich kam von einer TM TWCS und wollte:
1. Deutlich hhere Przision der Gashebel-Achse
2. Moderne, kontaktlose Sensoren
3. Mglichst viele Schalter/Funktionen am Griff der Throttle
4. Nachbrenner-Stufe
Damit blieben nur die TM, die WinWing Orion 2 und die Virpil T50 als Kandidaten brig. Letztere bewegen sich allerdings in gnzlich anderen Preisregioneen als das Thrustmaster-Produkt, und auerdem wre beim Kauf der WW ein Eigenimport aus China ntig. Als ich einen ~200 Euro Preisalarm fr die WHT bekam, gab’s daher kein langes Zgern und das Teil wurde bestellt – auch wenn die Warthog im Jahr 2022 lngst nicht mehr das Non-Plus-Ultra darstellt.
Kritikpunkte nach ein paar Tagen im Gebrauch:
1. Gewicht. Das Ding fhlt sich an wie ein Klumpen Blei (Gewicht liegt IIRC bei rund 5 kg!). Da hier neben Metall auch Plastik verbaut ist, verstehe ich nicht so ganz, warum so viel Gewicht ntig ist. Eventuell sind in der Basis Zusatzgewichte verbaut – sicher wei ich das aber nicht.
2. Slew-/Maus-Kontrolle ist indiskutabel schlecht. Kein Wunder, dass es hierfr schon seit Jahren Community-Mods und -Fixes gibt, aber ich begreife nicht, warum TM das Ding nicht selber berarbeitet. Die beiden Achsen dieser Steuerung lassen sich aufgrund der fummeligen Bedienung praktisch nicht przise zu nutzen. Lediglich die Druckknopf-Funktion ist bei mir nun im Einsatz.
3. Druckknpfe (LG Warning, AutoPilot, kleiner-Finger-Knopf am Griff) sitzen auf extrem strammen Federn und sind sehr schwierig zu drcken. Evtl liegt TM hier zu nah am realen Vorbild, bei dem diese straffe Auslegung wohl zur Vermeidung von Fehlbedienungen dienen knnte. Fr einen PC Spieler jedenfalls sind die Knpfe deutlich zu hart ausgelegt
Das war’s dann aber auch schon mit ernsthafter Kritik, denn der Rest der Throttle kann auch im Jahr 2022 noch berzeugen. Die Gas-Achse ist mechanisch und elektronisch extrem przise und es macht Freude, die Hebel zu verschieben. Zudem verfgt das Gert ber ausreichend viele Schalter und Hebel, um in DCS oder IL-2 die wichtigsten Funktionen aufs HOTAS legen zu knnen. Ja: Viele Schalter sind An-/Aus Kippschalter, was in einigen Spielen fr Probleme sorgen knnte – in meinen Sims passt das bisher aber alles.
Insgesamt war der Umstieg von der TWCS fr mich wie ein Schritt in eine andere Welt: Das TWCS fhlt sich wie ein Spielzeug an, die Warthog hingegen wie ein edles Profi-Werkzeug. Look, Materialien, Soliditt und Verarbeitung liegen auf einem deutlich hheren Niveau. Der King der High End Throttles ist die WHT heute sicher nicht mehr – WinWing und Virpil liegen IMO in allen Belangen deutlich ber dem Thustmaster-Produkt. Allerdings kosten diese beiden auch 100 bzw. 150 Prozent mehr (400+ EUR inkl Import fr WW, 495 EUR fr Virpil).
Mein Tipp: Wer die WHT fr um die 200 Euro schieen kann und mit den bekannten Schwchen des TM-Produkts klar kommt, der kann das Teil locker in die engere Wahl nehmen. Der Qualittsunterschied zur TWCS, CH Pro Throttle oder zu diversen Saitek-Produkten ist noch immer deutlich wahrnehmbar und wer ber ein begrenztes HOTAS-Budget verfgt ist mit der WHT und einem High-End Flightstick sicherlich bestens bedient. Den Warthog-Stick wrde ich aufgrund seiner eingebauten Schwchen (z.B. Plastik-Gimbal) allerdings nicht empfehlen. Besser wren da die modernen Alternativen von VKB, WW oder Virpil.
Einstieg ins High-End Segment ... für den richtigen Preis noch immer eine gute Wahl
Il prodotto fa la sua figura e con i suoi 3+ kili di costruzione in metallo appare solido e ben costruito. Le mie lamentele principali sono le seguenti:
-La maggior parte degli switch della base a prima vista appaiono essere on/off, come nel vero aereo, ma in realt son solo on. La posizione off non restituisce nessun comando, quindi impossibile configurarli come toggle. Questo li rende pressoch inutili.
-Risulta veramente difficoltoso trovare una mappatura soddisfacente per qualsiasi velivolo che non l’A-10,ma questo solo un effetto collaterale non inaspettato dato dalla natura del prodotto, nato come riproduzione della manetta del vero aereo.

The 3kg weight is extremely helpful while reversing the throttle.
Enough Switches to modify any flightsim according to your need.
All in all great purchase… A bit expensive but are considering Airbus add-ons from Thrustmaster then I would suggest paying 6k more and buying this as this has much more customizable switches and the Build quality is superb.

Los dos detalles que no me gustan mucho son: que hay botones que en su posicin central no “seleccionan” ninguna funcin y que el software “target” es una autentica castaa para configurar.

J’ai achet le stick il y a quelques semaines pour voluer par rapport mon prcdent systme et dj il n’y avait pas photo quand aux rsultats.
Mais je pensais garder mon ancienne manette des gaz. Grossire erreur. La prcision de celle-ci est tout simplement diabolique. Le prix est lev mais on en a pour son argent et l’ensemble est un pur bonheur d’utilisation.
Bon vol.
Tout et dans le titre. Agrable en main, il ncessite un apprentissage long et fastidieux pour maitriser toutes les fonctions.
Un regret, je n’arrive pas utiliser l’outil de Thrustmaster ce qui limite certaines fonctions. (Bouton appui constant (aerofreins par exemple)

Was soll man da sagen. Ein Throttle der das Herz aller Sim-Piloten hher schlagen lsst. Super stabile und wertige Verarbeitung mit einer riesen Anzahl an Switches und Buttons…sehr klass und gut belegbar. Da gibt es nichts auszusetzen.
This piece of kit is simply brilliant. Specially designed for the dcs A10. It makes flying and fighting the aircraft so much easier.
Smooth as silk, the only niggle I have is that some of the buttons could have been associated with more active functions.
If you have the cash, and fly the dcs a10 then this is for you. If you don’t, then I would recommend purchasing a hotas and joystick for the same price. There are decent ones about.
What to say about this throttle…I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with it!
It’s 5 kg makes it stick on the table perfectly, the quality of the materials is great, the switches look and work really well and the whole package works like a charm. I use it with X-Plane 11, with the ToLiss A319 and I created my own script to make it work properly. The level of immersion you have with the dual throttle, the moment you have an engine problem is AMAZING!. It happened to me while landing in ESSA, and this was the first time I could properly turn off one lever without seeing both levers being used.
Totally worth the money. I am veeeery happy with it.

Der Preis erscheint einem erstmal ziemlich hoch… aber nachdem ich nach jahrelangem Zgern endlich gekauft habe rgere ich mich das ich das nicht schon viel frher gemacht habe. Die Hotas Steuereinheit ermglicht sehr feinfhlige Steuereingaben und die zahlreichen Schalter und Knpfe machen richtig Spass
