This tv is perfect and reasonably priced excellent picture quality excellent sound quality I’m not really going to use the apps because I use an xbox however they are East to use. My only issue and it may seem petty is the green power light it’s too bright and distracting il probably cover i
You should connect either your Xbox or Playstation console before turning on and setting up the TV. I had the same issue but I solved it by doing a factory reset and turned off the TV, connect my Xbox with hdmi cable before you turn on the TV and it worked.
Picture is brilliant, being QLED, and sound is good too.
Gaming is good, but not quite as good as some more expensive TVs. But I think the savings alone make this TV better overall
This is a great product and plays nice with my Amp too. Picture quality is incredible and the blue tooth allows me to connect headphones to TV. Great product T a great price. Took a little longer than usual for delivery is all but worth the wai
Great TV , even better price , the setting up took last then 10 mins from unboxing it to having a film playing though it. the remote is easy to use , I would recommend this Toshiba television to anyone
It’s got the shortest most ridiculous power lead I have ever seen on a TV, it’s better suited to a kettle than a TV…
On the whole a good TV that for the price is much better than the 15 year old Sony Bravia 40″ it replaced…
Our bedroom TV was causing problems and this has replaced it. The TV as great value for money but it has to be said that it is not great if you do not watch straight on. It has a slight light and dark pulsing but it does not bother us in the bedroom as we stay sitting in bed when we watch.
Sound quality is okay, I feel as though you’d benefit from a sound bar though as it’s not 5 star worthy sound quality. Most uses it’s fine.
Overall this TV is fantastic price, quality and size! I don’t see how anyone wouldn’t want this TV, I don’t use the stand (just mounted on the wall) so cannot comment on it.
For the price paid, it’s an amazing piece of kit, speakers are good enough considering their physical size and placement they do a good job, but if you want to really enjoy it though invest in a proper soundbar and that goes for any modern slimline TV. Finally the bluetooth on this set does NOT support audio, it’s for control devices only (mouse, keyboard, remotes), so your bluetooth headphones or soundbar have to be old fashioned wired up (unless you use some other kit to convert wire/optic output from TV to wireless).
Otherwise I very happy with this TV for the price and performance. Amazon Fire TV built in is an added bonus, also Alexa integrated to ring doorbells show’s you who’s at the door etc. Very useful. This 43 inch is a perfect size for most bedrooms / small studios. Screen refresh is only 60Hz so it won’t be a gaming performer but it does very well with a large colour palette to enjoy most movies, even action movies without much noticeable screen blur at all, it does not affect enjoying fast scene changing movies (car chases, bike chases, etc.) at all. If you’re bothered by that invest in a fancier multi-hundred Hz QLED or OLED screen elsewhere.
For me this ticks all the boxes for an extra set in the bedroom with lovely vivid colour for just chilling out sometimes.
A good looking easy to set up TV. Not the most modern looking of models, but it does its job and has all the bells and whistles I need at a can’t be beaten price. Has a good, crisp and sharp picture.
The only problem I had on assembly was matching up my sound bar to the TV, still not fathomed it but I am sure I will. The warranty period is not easy to find on Amazon but it is 12 months, some retailers offer longer but can’t match the price.
On the whole, a good value purchase that on receipt and first usage I am very happy with.
Once you have done this if you go to settings screen on TV select ‘Display & Audio’ you can now select ‘Apple Airplay and Homekit’ , follow the onscreen prompts on TV and select screen mirroring on your iPhone.
Good luck, the manual is pointless.
There doesn’t seem to be any way to adjust the usual picture settings: brightness; contrast; colour; aspect ratio; etc. But I don’t see any need, as these parameters are OK as they are.
The navigation menus are a bit clunky. I believe it may be worthwhile asking for Alexa’s help, but I’m not able to do this yet – hence my ‘no score’ for Alexa integration. I may get there in due course.
It takes a lot longer to boot up than my other tellies.
The offer price on Prime day made it good value. Even at the full price, it would still be worth considering.
Overall, very pleased.
Not horrible but worth .25 marks: The remote is made for child’s hands. There is no button for selecting input devices unless I haven’t found it. I think the stand should be about 6in high just to put a sound bar in front or for making sure you see the bottom part of the screen if you are in bed. One DVI port in place of the third HDMI might be good if you want to hook up your Desktop PC or Mac. I have a 4k vid card on my PC, so want to see how this puppy kicks boots.
Thanks for a great upgrade from the 24in I had for the same price as this beauty.
However away from that fact , the screen is great and the resolution is fantastic when you can achieve the 4k but even when you can’t things are still nice and clear and definitely an upgrade from my 1080p TV , the speakers aswell sound very nice and clear and music does sound good and having the option of Dolby or surround is nice and is noticeable,
Having Alexa built in as well was a good add on for me as I have an echo as well so can control the TV with it etc and have my Amazon accounts linked to it including Amazon music unlimited
Good overall tv and would recommend but they need to stop misleading people about the hdmi 2.1
One thing that I liked is the fact that Fire TV works much better and in a snappier way than Android TV at this price point, so browsing the menus and looking for apps or content is a much better experience from my point of view. On the other hand, the main drawback is that Fire TV is remarkably more limited, so there are less apps, less flexibility and it won’t allow you to rename your inputs with whatever name you want (you will have to select from a very limited list that it doesn’t contain something as simple as “Computer”) Another thing that I didn’t like is that if you select UK as your location it will just offer you a few languages in the TV OS. My mother language is Spanish so I found that a bit annoying that Canadian French was an option over a European language that is spoken by almost a billion people in the world. Seriously, Amazon?
If you are going to use this TV with a PC, it might require a bit of tinkering in order to remove all the pre-processing stuff that is applied to image by default. Once you have done that you should be getting a clear enough image with almost no artifacting and you can save the configuration for each input. It’s still not an ideal panel to connect a PC though, a big monitor with high refresh rate, or a high-end gaming TV will be much more suitable options. But if you are on a budget and ok with that, it will definitely do the trick.
The VESA mounting system chosen is a bit strange, to be honest. 100×100 for a 43″ TV is going to put quite a lot of stress into the plastic carcass. I have mounted it on the wall and for the moment it looks good, but I wouldn’t try to tilt it down in case the plastic casing isn’t strong enough. It’s preferable to install the wall mount a bit lower. Also, be careful with the bottom left screw hole, it seems to be less deep than the rest. I needed to use a shorter screw in order to be able to mount it.
In conclusion, this TV is a good option if your are on a tight budget that pair up nicely with an Xbox Series S or a budget PC. It will also work very well as a cheap video streaming solution. But with some noticeable compromises. It won’t be ideal for those who look for top-notch features.
OLD REVIEW: The TV was faulty and it’s going back to Amazon. I guess that I just was unlucky, so I ordered a replacement. I’ll be updating this review when I get a unit that works as it should, but it has to be one star for the time being.
This was a great deal at 269 or an even better deal to buy the bundle; same tv + video ring doorbell for the SAME price of 269. Who wouldn’t love a deal like that? Sadly my tv arrived without the ring doorbell and when I spoke to customer services (normally a positive experience) the lady told me “I had accidentally unchecked the bundle and selected just the tv” hence no ring doorbell. Errr what?
The second lady I spoke to told me “at the time I ordered the bundle the promotion was finished” .. I checked and it was still ongoing. So no ring doorbell. Huh? Are you saying I saw a great bundle deal, but when I ordered it, the promotion ‘suddenly’ became unavailable and then the next day became available again???
Becoming a tad irate I sent an email to customer services attaching a screenshot of the bundle promotion showing it still available. Then I spoke to a third lady.. “that’s not very good service from us” she said. “Don’t worry, be patient and I will send you a ring doorbell .. you will receive it by the 21st October. Ahh relief, somebody is taking my complaint seriously!
Needless to say the 21st came and went .. and no ring doorbell. At that point I confess, I gave up.
So, here we are reviewing my fabulous new tv..
However, for the outrageous customer service, Amazon .. I’m giving you a 4 star rating (it would have been a 5 star because I absolutely love the tv). But instead of the joy of playing with my video ring doorbell (I’ve secretly coveted one since they first came out) instead at the age of 65 I’m moving in two weeks, sadly alone, into a new flat. The ring doorbell would have provided extra security for me, but being an OAP, I can’t afford to buy the video ring doorbell.. I’m still paying for the tv.
I have since found out that when you add the bundle to your basket, it’s fine until you go to pay for it (in this case through Klarna) because it automatically selects the single item and you have to re select the bundle. Sadly, didn’t notice (being new to Klarna and all.
So instead of dreaming of a white Christmas, I’m dreaming of a video ring doorbell. Perhaps .. just perhaps .. when Amazon review my review they will relent .. and send me the video ring doorbell I ordered. Now that would be the excellent customer service I know they usually provide .. and they’d be keeping an old lady safe in her new home!
