Surprenant a l’usage mais vraiment cela vous change le travail au tour bois.
Facile d’utilisation, bonne dure de la charge des batteries, rangement dans housse bienvenue, efficace, peu bruyant.
Je ne saurai m’en passer maintenant.

I use this face protector on and off a few days per week. It’s a big, heavy, thing but quite comfortable for all that. Once you’ve had it on for a while you get used to it though. The one issue that I have is that the built in ear defenders actually amplify the noise of the fan in the airshield. It feels as though the noise reverberates through the helmet and into the plastic cones of the ear pieces. I’ve taken mine off now and gone back to wearing my peltor defenders, which just about fit if rested upside down under the helmet. This is a real design flaw.

While all sawdust is nasty and to be avoided, I work with a particularly carcinogenic Tasmanian timber, so good protection is essential.
I have used the more expensive 3M respirators and there is no doubt they are excellent. But as a hobbyist, I had to find something more affordable.
This respirator is excellent value for money. I don’t know if it would compare to the 3M models if I was using it all day every day, but I sometimes will use mine several times a week while I’m working on a project and then it will sit idle for a couple of months as I have to go do a “real” job.
It holds its charge very well and does everything it is supposed to, to a high standard.
I have a beard and the respirator seals without a problem.

Bought this mainly for working with particle boards and it does the job well. Initially feels a bit claustrophobic but once switched on airflow is plentiful and breathing is easy. Have found it still fogs up a bit initially when working in cold conditions but does clear after a minute or two. Time will tell what its like in hot weather. It isn’t the quietest thing but once you turn on the power tools the fan noise in the helmet is barely noticable. It’s slightly awkward to get on and after long periods of use you’re glad to get it off, but it’s still much more effective and easier than wearing goggles, ear defenders and dust mask at the same time so I would recommend this product.

Got one for general dust avoidance, alongside using vacuum attachments with associated power tools. It’s great to wear, comfortable but loud – they sell integrated headphones which I recommend, the battery lasts pretty much a whole day and once it is “on” the visor doesn’t fog up, etc. I’ve found once you tighten the head-strap it doesn’t feel at all heavy

It genuinely makes a difference and I use it a lot.

It makes a dirty job far more pleasent, blowing down the combine or blowing out the grain bins.

It does work well especially in this hot weather it helps keep you cool when working . I don’t like the way the ear defenders are clipped in as they often come out when removing the air shield and the single battery makes for a unbalanced feel when wearing it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWorks well and delivers a good flow of clean air, acceptable restriction of field of vision but woefully ill balanced. The centre of gravity feels as though it is about 2″(50mm) above the top of the wearers head, this causes undue neck muscle strain in prolonged use, also it wobbles about as the wearer moves around, a most unwelcome distraction when using power tools. This is the third dust visor I have owned and used, the previous one was also a ‘Trend’ but an earlier generation the first one, not a ‘Trend’, had a belt mounted power and battery pack, connected to the visor by a hose, less convenient than a one-piece but less strain on the neck. These one-piece visors seem to be designed and tested on the assumption that the wearer will always work with head upright but in fact we always work with head bowed slightly, increasing neck strain so the centre of gravity needs to be as low and as far back as possible. 4 out of 5 is generous Trend you must do better.

I bought it with the optional ear muffs as I also use it routering and using a Skilsaw. It’s as comfortable as it can be, not heavy, the fan gives some noise but it’s acceptable. Certainly effective and much easier for long wearing than a mask. Well worth the price to look after your respiratory system. The earmuffs can pop off if you twist them the wrong way, but pop on again easy enough

No issues with the airshield can wear it for a few hours and keeps you cool and seems to filter well. Issue was with the ear defenders which never really fit properly and ended up breaking after a few uses.

Superb safety gear, eliminates all issues of my glasses fogging.
Feel much safer due to high efficiency filtration and impact protection provided.
The unit is not too noisy, cannot be heard when my lathe is running. The unit is heavier than standard face screens to wear, though is comfortable when properly adjusted.

Had it for a couple of months. Use it for woodturnig and general making of sawdust

The good: I find this quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time which is something I was worried about before buying. Having you head flexed forward for long periods of time will strain your neck regardless of if you are wearing a helmet or not. I try to remember this and keep my head upright. The balance is decent in the helmet.

It filters really well (98%) and it’s ratings are better than it’s competitors at this price point (suitable for MDF whereas it’s competitors are not). Save you from some hefty medical bills down the line.

    Good eye and face protection.

Long battery life is a good thing (but has its drawbacks).

    The bad:
The battery has a long charge time of 14 hrs. They are not lithium ion which is something you might have expected for such an expensive system (expensive is relative here as these powered respirators can go for over a grand but a cheap drill nowadaysis running lithium ion). I ended up getting the charging cradle and an extra battery (this will set you back) just to have an extra battery on the go so you can get back to work without waiting an obscene amount of time. A charging icon on the battery to know when it would be done would be nice.

The low battery alarm in a constant annoyance for the last 30ish minutes of the batteries life. Irritating. Wish this feature was for the last 5 to 10 minutes.

From my reading online. If you do not charge batteries as advised, they can develop a memory and really suffer over time. (My main wish is that they used LI-ON in these helmets).

Keep in mind you will have to buy replacement components which aren’t cheap.

Summary: good comfortable helmet with good protection. Can wear with a beard. Good safety for eyes and lungs. Long battery life but long charging time. Annoying alarm for 30 mins at the end, a silence button would have been great.

I use this when turning wood. It is comfortable when properly fitted and the battery is good for maybe 4 hours work. I find it particularly good since I can wear my spectacles comfortably with it and they never fog up. Practical and essential for health, even though an expensive item.

This type of helmet takes some getting used to but after only a few times I know it’s worth it and it doesn’t bother me at all, little heavier than others but more evenly distributed, it’s loud you definitely want ear protection for extended periods of use but that’s the only downside I can think of, great piece of kit I should have invested in years ago, absolutely recommend

I wear this in my workshop when sanding and woodturning. I find it brilliant as I wear glasses that usually steam up with normal mouth/nose masks. Yes, there is some noise from the fan on your head but I find the sander makes more of a din!
The ventilator protects my lungs and eyes and I find the air flow across my face quite comforting.
The battery last ages, I haven’t managed to run it out yet.
I consider this to be a good investment.

So glad I ordered this product
As a bearded bespectacled decorator I often get asked for a face fit test, so yeah I could shave but my glasses still become steamed up, this product doesn’t require a face fit according to our onsite HSE but still preformed one and this mask/helmet passed no problem.
Wore all day without any problems and felt cool and chill at the end of the day plus my beard was clean without having to use my balaclava.
    Brilliant product can’t recommend enough.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis product is as described. I’ve been using it for woodworking purposes for some weeks now and it performs well. It is a little heavy on the head, but the amount of dust it stops being inhaled is amazing. Battery life is as described and easily lasts a day of hard work! One observation is that when working in cold conditions, the air being blown across the face is very cool! I had to stop after 30 mins on a particularly cold day and let my face warm up! However this is not a fault of the mask, just the UK weather.
Overall, build quality is good, and as long as it is looked after, should last a long while.

It works really well for me, it’s a tiny bit noisy with the motor but it works well for wood turning. Can be a bit heavy and sore on the neck if you wear it for long periods of time

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have toyed for a long time , about buying an Airpro Mask . I recently turned a bowl from Amoroko which was dusty when sanding. I decided to buy the Airpro to see if it made a difference. It really does make it difference, a cool stream of air across your face, makes it very pleasant to wear. It is not cheap, but I do believe it stops me breathing in wood dust, so it is worth the cost.

I use this for wood turning and it makes a HUGE difference. I’m not going to pretend it’s cheap because it isn’t. But check out the cost of replacement lungs. It’s comfortable, I don’t get dust up my nose and the screen protects me from flying bits. There is just no comparison between this and non-powered dust masks. Not even close.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersFirst off lets be clear about this – when Trend say this is a ‘Pro’ item they may be stretching the point a little because heavy duty does not immediately spring to mind here and I would imagine that abuse will quickly render this item DOA. Materials and construction are nothing better than okay with a slightly irritating headband adjuster that seems to need resetting each time I use the mask.

Battery life is enough for a days on and off use and it will charge overnight fine. The battery is not a LiOn one as far as I can tell so will have a memory and won’t last for years. It is designed to fit this mask specifically so not sure what I’ll do when it dies but as an electro-mechanical engineer I’ll sort something out.

This all sounds a bit negative – which it is – however the mask regains it’s five star rating because it works and as long as I continue to treat it with respect I don’t expect it to get broken.

Anyway, as I said it works. When fitted it is comfortable despite being fairly weighty and the face seal works easily and well. In use the air supply is plentiful and working in full blast of a router and my saw bench was in no way difficult with as far as I could tell zero dust and a clear view of my work. In the end this mask does what it is supposed to do and that is to protect my lungs and eyes better than any other mask I’ve used. For that I can forgive the slight niggles.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBest bit of equipment Ive spent money on. used it for 4 months now. Didnt want to review it until I gave it a good try. Started wood turning in Jan this year. Breathing started to get bad. Bought the helmet and had no problems since. Charge it over night and its good for a good 8 hours. I find in the hot weather it feels good to have a slight breeze blowing down over your face. Definitely buy again.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHi, i purchased this product in january 2012,i started woodturning, i wear it all the time when i use the lathe, i found it a bit top heavy at first but have got use to it, i don’t really notice it now, it is expensive, for the price you should get two batteries, i can get 6/8 hours out of a battery charge, i leave mine plugged in on charge over night, spare air filters are a bit expensive, i am still using the original filters, every so often i will use the dust extractor & a brush to clean them,( wearing another mask while cleaning ).
