As I’ve worked away from home for years I’ve tried about 4 different types of cooler boxes you can plug into the hotel room to keep my food cool all week! This is the best and quietest one so far!

We had a similar machine once before and were almost put off buying anything like it again because it failed to keep things very cold and didn’t last that long. This one is altogether different. I travelled over 200 miles with frozen prawns in it and no cold blocks, and they hadn’t even thawed by the time I arrived. We used the hot facility to transfer hot vegetables from one house to another and they were still hot an hour later in spite of the box not having been plugged in on the journey. So far so good. It is so superior to our previous box. It was a bit more expensive, but it was worth it.

Handy to aid the cool in the box, I’d also put in an ice pack. I really needed to keep this running all the time in the room I was in but due to fire risks in the building, I couldn’t. I think it could have been more successful. The room was heated which added problem. But otherwise a good box

I needed a cooler box for long distance family outings. What I really like about this one is that you can plug it into the mains and pre-cool it before your trip, or use it at your destination (like a hotel room) if there isn’t a fridge. It cools down quickly at the high setting powered by the mains. You should help it along with a suitable cooler block.

It has good capacity – I put a soft drink 2l bottle, a 1l carton of milk, dairy spread, ham, cheese, fruit and a few other bits and pieces in for a family outing, and it all fit fine. On the trip, I had it plugged onto the 12v socket in the boot of the car. It has fans, but you won’t hear them in the car, and if you were using it in a room that you were sleeping in, you can set it to Eco mode and it will be whisper quiet. If it’s already cool, this will maintain the temperature. I haven’t tied the heating function, and it’s not necessarily something I have a need for, but it’s interesting that it’s there.

The two cables (12v and mains) are built in and stow away nicely under a flap in the lid. The handle is sturdy and it’s easy to carry. No issues cleaning the smooth and accessible interior.

The only thing I’d be careful of is that the bottom is smooth plastic, so it will slip around on the floor of your car boot. Mine fell over literally as I pulled out of the driveway and turned onto the road. This isn’t a criticism of the product, just something to me mindful of. It’s really just a matter of making sure it’s wedged securely in the boot. I’m considering sticking a grippy material underneath, to help give it some friction.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWish I had bought one of these years ago! I have only used it for the cool setting and I put a fridge thermometer inside to check the temperature, but it really does keep food and drink cold (it actually ended up keeping frozen food frozen too). Holds a reasonable amount and takes about 10-20 mins to cool fully. Use it quite often for car journeys now – even just to keep drinks cool. I can imagine this will also be quite handy for times your fridge is packed (like Christmas) and you need a little bit of extra space.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDidn’t know what to expect but this cooler really keeps beer cool and works on either 12v or 230v. I haven’t used it to much due to covid but I’m impressed with it so far..I’ve never put room temperature beer into it and always from fridge ..so maybe a little tip for u

Works well. Ideal if staying somewhere with no access to fridge. Kept milk cool all day. Extremely quiet on eco setting.

I’ve used this a few times now and it’s definitely kept the food and drinks chilled very handy for long trips, it kept the food and drinks chilled for over 4 hours. It’s a good size the wire goes Ito the top lid which sometimes can make it a little difficult to open the lid but it’s no bother. I used mine with ice blocks for even cooler temperature

Purchased this for our camping trip. Kept the beers, milk and Tonic water nicely chilled. The week we went was very very hot, we recorded 42C in the tent. This little fridge (running on mains, on max setting) performed admirably. Didn’t really notice the fan noise. The open and close handle is handy to know the lid is closed properly. We left the campsite, temp as 27C and 2 hours later when we got home, the beers were still very cold! It is well worth the money

Travelled across europe in 4×4. Plugged in well. Fairly quiet. Great value for money. Paid for itself in savings that trip alone. Fits in back of pickup trucks with 12v output in backbed lovely. For real long off road expeditions- v hot climates you need to go for waeco etc but for picnics short trips etc brilliant cheap fix.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis coolbox is pretty good to be honest. Bought this in addition to another make back in the heatwave this year when we took our caravan on the road.

At the time it couldn’t cope with keeping a low enough temperature for meat etc. but to be fair, I didnt expect it to as the temperatures were above 30 degrees! But it made a huge difference with water, salads etc.
It should be added that when the temperature dropped to mid/low 20s it coped as well as a fridge.

This is well worth having and runs off your car via the cigarette lighter as well as mains. Cools down relatively quickly too (in normal temperatures).

Very glad I bought this and I will be using it for a long time to come.

A little disappointed at first as I didn’t realise you had to add cool blocks in to help but once we used it we were really impressed. It kept food and drink cool for over 24 hours.

I would have given 5 stars but the cool box is 20L not as advertised and the dimensions given in the question section are not correct and are probably for a larger capacity box.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersOnly used on mains but keeps everything nice and cold. The motor on maximum is quite noisy but once it’s cold can be switched to ‘eco’ mode and that is almost silent.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersGreat cool box after 9hrs shift temp still below 5 degree I had 2x400g ice pack in there as well just to help it and after I got home the ice packs were still half frozen so cool box does the job well! Hopefully it will stay this way!

It’s over a year old now and still works perfectly!

    Best I ever had!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersGreat product. One small point. It has proved easy to accidently move the cooling/warming switch. Not a real problem, but you just need to be aware and careful not to knock it.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWe bought this cooler as we go camping a lot and wanted to make sure that all our food especially our milk kept cool! It didn’t disappoint, we used the cooler recently when we went camping for four days in the warm weather! We had plugged it in the night before we left with the food inside and used the car adapter in the car when. We traveled down!! When we went in day trips in the day we took the cooler in the car to plug it in to top up the cold! Def impressed and am glad I bought it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this product for a camping trip a few weeks ago and it didn’t disappoint. Filled it with 2 bags of ice, 2 bottles of wine, other drinks and a few sandwiches and plugged into my car. Stayed ice cold the whole journey (3 hours) and when I unplugged at the campsite it kept everything cold for hours afterwards. Will definitely be using this for lots of summer picnic trips.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI took this on an overnight camping trip. I plugged it in the night before with everything in and we took it away in the morning. Arrived on site and there was no electric but despite not being plugged back in the milk we put in there was still cool the next day. Really impressed. It wasn’t too heavy either.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis item arrived just in time for a weekend camping with no fridge. We used to keep meat and milk cold and it was roomy and stayed cold the whole time we were away. Really impressed with this. Slightly smaller than I expected but you can put larger bottles in stood up.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersPurchased this cool box ready for the summer. Fantastic product, cooled to a very low temperature and even once unplugged it kept my drinks cold all day despite sitting out in the sun. I managed to fit in 20 x 440ML drinks and is far more spacious than it looks. A top purchase which will get a lot of use!!
