Exactly as presented: in a cute gift box. I was expecting, for no reason, that the labeling on the knife will be red. They are beige, and it is more elegant than just black. As a tool, it is all I expected, but the reason I would buy it again is the SOUND: full and clear clang of high quality steel – almost gong or bell vibrations. Check the video and compare with other knives: it’s like crystal compared with water glasses. Great alloy in there.

Make sure you don’t put in dishwasher. Just a quick rinse and dry then put on the mount. Dishwashers are terrible in knives

Also, this isn’t a box cutter folks

UPDATE:: Did a amazon return and company immediately sent me a new set of knives with a nice Block
In great condition. (They sent before I returned these).
    …………..1st review below…..
The knife set is beautiful. They are sharp and do the job. BUT the block came with a crack in the front (pics attached, crack is right top corner of block). If the crack was on the back I would keep them .I don’t think it happened in shipping but it could have. If you go to their website to purchase these the price is much higher, I’m sure they push the rejects off to Amazon at the low price. Anyways I am going to reorder another set and return these for credit. I hope they send me a good set with no flaws on the next order. I will update this review. They are beautiful, for the price you can’t complain. Update: They sent me a new set immediately.

    LOVE THE KNIFES But.

I really enjoy this new 6″ knife, came super sharp right out of the box. It looks great, attractive design, and has gorgeous packaging. The handle is a little big and heavy for my taste and makes it a little less comfortable to handle for someone with smaller hands like my wife but heavy, so if you like that, this is good. The balance is a little to the center of the handle, but if you have larger hands you may like it. I sure will keep it in my kitchen but will find something similar with less weight. Fantastic price point.

This knife set is absolutely gorgeous to look at. The handles are shaped to be a very comfortable fit and the blade edge is ridiculously sharp.

A couple of minor annoyances though… The blades are really thin and have what feels like a little too much flex. However this will not be an issue if the knife is used as intended (in other words, don’t use it as a prying tool or a garlic press).

The sharpness of the edge is also a potential issue since such a sharp edge can dull pretty quickly if the cutting surface doesn’t give a little when the knife bites into it during cutting.

Overall, this knife set is a great addition to the kitchen, but will need care and proper use for it to last long.

This specific chef’s knife is the sexiest, sharpest, sleek, streamlined, user friendly and economical unknown brand and model I have ever used in almost 3 decades working as a Chef5 stars and most highly recommended of all time!

Now it’s pretty and it’s sharp but it’s very light for a blade that site. We chefs prefer them to be a hit heavier so we do t have to use as much force. It feels kind of cheap and the handle is very slippery and u comfortable. So ce we are putting in more force it pinches the nerves in your hand more causing bruising. Not for restaurant use maybe for at home however it was cheap for the money

I’ve been struggling with inferior knives too long. No more! The best feature of this knife is that it will hold an edge for a long time. It feels good in the hand and is well balanced. The textured sides release the surface tension when slicing cucumbers so the slices don’t stick to the blade. Excellent quality and value.

When I say balanced, you can rest the hilt on your finger and it balances, as a knife this size should.

I bought this to replace one that a friend broke. That one was a Sabatier-style copy with a much heavier blade than this has. The thinness, however, does not seem to affect its overall strength. It rings a little tinny. I’m used to a chime when my knives ding the counter. Also, when it arrived, I didn’t find it as sharp as I would expect from the factory. I keep my knives razor-sharp. The thickness, the ring, and the sharpness out of the box are the only reasons I gave this a 4-star rather than 5.

Now the bright side: When properly sharpened, you can shave with this! And it keeps its edge for a long time. The decorated sides help keep food from sticking to the knife — especially onions and tomatoes. I have even sliced cheese with this and found the adhesion to be acceptably slight.

I mentioned at the outset the balance. It is very good for slicing and chopping. I can fine-chop a garlic clove in seconds. And with the blade properly sharpened, you can no-cry slice and chop onions.

So, if you have Sabatier taste, but a Chicago budget, this is definitely the knife for you!

These are the best steak knives iv ever buyght in my life. And im not a fancy knife person. I dont know anything about knifes but these one i love. I like how the handle is heavy i love it. And it cuts threw pork chops like putter almost 0 effort in cutting it.

Gutes , scharfes, ausgewogenes Messer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe handle is fat and heavy, so if you like that, this is good. The handle is so heavy that it puts the balance point around the middle of the handle and not at the base of the blade like many other knives. If you have large hands this could be a plus. Arrived razor sharp, literally. Packaging was superb and even included a polishing cloth that is probably microfiber. Box has magnets for closure and could be re-used for something. Unlike a lot of other knives it has a mirror/chrome-like finish to the blade and what they call a “wave pattern” presumably stamped in the blade. It also has logos on both sides of the blade, which surprised me a bit. This knife was on sale for 66% off when I bought it and that was big factor for me. I just didn’t want to pay much for a paring knife. I assume it was the style factors that led to the discount, as most kitchen knives are a much subtler looking. It has been replaced by subsequent models, and the discount was actually more attractive to me than the aesthetics of the knife. I have other Tuo knives on the way which don’t look as flashy. It’s amazing what I’ll put up with to save six bucks, but hey, I did, and so what if it looks . . . interesting. It happens to fit one empty slot in my knife block, so that’s good. I have yet to use it. Hopefully it will hold it’s edge decently well. I’ve had good luck with other Chinese knives, most of my kitchen knives, in fact, right alongside some well known German knives.

I saw these on offer and, bearing in mind my existing knife set is 30 years old, thought I would treat myself….. OMG how amazing are these? Beautiful to look at, a joy to hold, so sharp they practically fall through the food you are preparing. No hesitation to recommend.

The box and knives are exactly as pictured! Not sure why even a few bad reviews as these lived up to my expectations! They are beautiful knives and yes they cut through our steaks tonight like butter. Looking forward to getting more pieces from this line.

Be very careful with your fingers, this knife is sharp enough to take them off. It cuts through meat as if it isn’t there. The only slight issue, and it is very slight, is that it would benefit from a guard between the blade and the fingers. It is a great buy.

These knives are the best I’ve ever had and feel and look like they will last me a lifetime. Worth paying that bit extra.
    They look pretty amazing too.

Looks so fancy and really sharp and came in a really fancy box. Time will tell if it keeps it’s sharpness but initial impressions very positive.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this knife. I’ve had premium kitchen knives before and had high expectations, and this one surprised me. It’s hefty in the hand and very nicely balanced. It came quite sharp straight out of the box (though sharpening aficionados might disagree with me). The blade is very thin compared to more European styled knives so I wouldn’t be using it to pry a open a coconut, but I’m quite happy using it for its intended purpose. Would recommend.

I purchased these while they were on sale as I had never used this companies knives before.
They have a slightly unusual pressed metal pattern on the blade that is designed to eliminate drag on the meat when cutting. They look nice and are highly polished using a good grade of German steel.
The handle is quite large but well constructed but does make the knife feel a little handle heavy and may be unbalance for some. The blade is very sharp and does look the part and I wouldn’t want to chuck these in the washing up bowl or dish washer as it would spoil the polish. They are functional and at this price make a loverly set of steak knife to adorn your table.
they come nicely boxed with a cleaning cloth but no sheaths and it clearly states these are manufactured in China as are countless knives and cutlery these days Tuo seem to have a very good price point and their Knives seem to be very good value. I would recommend them but if you can get them on a sale day even better.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHere’s the deal, you get what you pay for and with this knife edition/series you actually get way more! This is a exceptional knife set, that if used properly and care for properly will last you a life time. In regards to previous reviews, they are incorrect and inconsistent. Use a knife properly and there is no issue with the handles of these knives, you are not supposed to have a death grip on the handles of a knife, they are supposed to be a extension of your hand, and if you have to over grip a knife…send it back immediately. These knives flow in the hand of a home cook or a chef! The blade is extremely well forged and extremely sharp! If you are use to dull knives, I caution you that this is not a knife for a novice, let the knife do the work! This is a exceptional knife for the price and I would suggest you start with the set and add to it depending on what you enjoy doing in your culinary adventures. As for the butchers review, if you are a commercial butcher, buck up a buy butchers commercial/industrial knives. If you are a home cook/chef you are all set, you are going to cut apart a chicken or trim a piece of beef or pork and theses knives with work like a breeze! Follow the instructions and you can enjoy these knives for a lifetime. *Note: I took my knife set to my professional knife sharpening expert (25+years in business, in the Chicago restaurant industry) and he said these knives were the very best he had seen and would recommend them to clients that had knives not worth the price of sharpening. That my friends is a four star (****) gold label review as he sharpening knives for the very best in the business.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought Items as a gift
Knife Sets, Sharpener and Under Cabinet shelf’s

TUO Knife Set 7 piece and steak knife’s

Nice looking, Very Thin, Sharp, 56 RC (soft) but easy to sharpen
5″ Utility had bad tooling marks on the bottom
and they couldn’t replace just the one.
Replaced the whole set and the replacement 5″ Utility was even worse.
grind is not the same on each side 8-12 except for Nakiri and the smaller knifes
included block looks nice but not to functional, Have to move block from under cabinet
to use and the point of the knifes hit the bottom when you put them in
    have to be very careful.
also sharp and thin knifes will have a tendency to dig in on plastic boards
and the balance point is pretty far back because of the G10 fiberglass handle

    Green Elephant Ceramic Knife Sharpener

Made the knifes sharper you can still see
original grind marks on one side (vertical marks)
after about 50 strokes per side
(will cut paper, not so much for hair)
Perfect for sharpening not too smooth
made a plastic cone for the angle
(will get another outside fishing use)

The Drop Block Under Cabinet shelf’s

Very nice product (would buy again)
magnets and plastic blocks are secure and strong
the inside width is 9″ so my steak knifes were 9.5″ had to mount on angle
Paper template is not very good have to cut to fit
for shelf’s that are close to the size (holes are good)
template needs to be re-designed with lines
that simulate the minimum shelf and springs areas
and the Knape and Vogt hinges should be bent the other way
so you can see what you are doing (like other reviewer suggested)

    Very Thin, Sharp
