Can I use the Magic Button for one-touch access to all of my playlists?
You can play, pause and skip tracks directly on the speaker with any music service. Or you can use the BOOM & MEGABOOM app to program and navigate custom one-touch playlists for Apple Music and Deezer Premium.
Can I use the Magic Button to control all of my music if I don’t use Apple Music or Deezer?
Yes. You can always use Magic Button for basic music controls: pause, play and skip. The music controls work with any music service.
Do I need an app to use the Magic Button?
No. To use the Magic Button to pause/play/skip, you don’t need to download the app. However, to use the Magic Button for one touch access to your playlists, you need to download the Ultimate Ears BOOM & MEGABOOM app by Ultimate Ears.
Does the speaker float in water?
Yes, it floats and it’s completely waterproof.
Can the speaker connect with other Ultimate Ears speakers?
Yes. MEGABOOM 3 can connect with BOOM, BOOM 2, BOOM 3 and MEGABOOM using the Party Up feature in the BOOM & MEGABOOM app. It cannot connect with BLAST or MEGABLAST.

My daughter saved up for the speaker and it was recommended by her friends. So she had already seen the high quality of it. The quality of the sound is excellent and she is very happy with it. She likes the colour & the look of it too. I did purchase the matching travel case as she takes it everywhere with her. So I thought a little bit of protection would be good.

Great sound at a reasonable price
This is my second Megaboom 3. I bought it to make a stereo pair. Sounds fantastic in the garden, but I’ve docked one star because of connectivity issues. When further than a few feet apart, the two speakers need to be tilted towards each other in order to pair effectively. Not ideal.
Could be loude
It is a good speaker, I use it outdoors (where I feel it could be louder! My old UE speaker had a clip where i could attach a carabiner for easier handling! The battery is ok but not great, on a good day will last a few hours!
Fantastic speake
The sound quality is brilliant, and I was surprised how loud it is for the size. Easy to set up and the app is nice and easy to use with preconfigured sound settings for smaller rooms, bass boost, etc.
Booming Purchase
I bought this to go with an existing speaker, to create a stereo effect. Although not that straight forward to figure out, I now have stereo MegaBoom speakers. The sound is full with a good bass. A very good product.
Just amazing!
Well, what can I say. I was looking for a portable, not too big speaker to use around the home – out and about as well as to take travelling and I think I’ve found the best option for my music choice (Trance / EDM).
I had completed a fair amount of researching prior to purchasing this as I wanted to make sure I got the best value for my money and oh boy has it.
The sound quality is top notch – The bass is fantastic – The equalizer options are actually different and provide correct adjustment depending on my location (Compact Room, Bass Option etc)
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for fantastic quality for EDM music. Rap / Pop seems great also but I do not listen to this frequently to suggest if it is truly approved.
Incredible 360 sound!
As soon as I turned it on, I was blown away by the sound. Truly incredible. It’s also a very attractive product and elevates your home decor. I hadn’t realised it didn’t have a mic and Google Home capabilities, so it was returned. Would absolutely recommend if you don’t need that component.
Amazing Sound
I’m not good at reviews so I’ll keep it brief…
The sound from this thing is amazing, its clear and crisp with thumping bass. Oh and its loud, very loud.
I got mine in red and I think it looks really good, not a cheap bright red but more of a darker sophisticated red. I have a red themed room so this fits in perfectly.
The price was great, I got it on offer for 134.99 which is an absolute steal for this speaker.
It was dispatched quickly but not very well packaged, it was in a big box with only one sheet of paper as packaging so it rattled it way across from France to the UK. Luckily there was no damage but its worth mentioning nonetheless and the reason for the 4 star review, otherwise it would have been a 5 star. Shame.
So finally, would I recommend this product? Since this is my first Bluetooth Speaker its hard to compare to anything else, but I am blown away by the sound so would highly recommend if you’re considering this speaker.
First of all I’m not an audiophile just a music lover and as a music lover I can tell you this thing is great. I bought this to replace my UE Boom 2 which I also loved but I love bass so I decided to go for this. I waited for prime day and got this at a discount which was a bonus.
The sound is very loud, it’s rich and for its size packs some bass. It’s so good I use it outside when having a barbecue. For a music lover like me who likes to listen to music whilst cooking, drawing, in the shower, this thing is great you can take it around with you. It’s not too big and not too heavy making it very portable.
Overall the Megaboom 3 is great, the battery life is very good, lasting around 20 hours. I love it’s sleek and simple design and think it looks quite nice and stylish. It’s got excellent build quality and even though it’s not built like it’s competitor JBL speaker its still quite robust and durable.
Whilst the Megaboom 3 is great, there are a few things that would’ve make this bluetooth speaker absolutely perfect for me. For one I wish they had left the mic/speaker phone function that was on the UE boom 2, it was quite handy being able to take a call and talk on the bluetooth speaker. They removed the audio jack so now the only way to connect to the speaker is via bluetooth. Finally it would’ve been great if the charging cable was usb type c. However in spite of all this, it’s still 5 stars from me, it’s competitively priced and an excellent product for what it is. I highly recommend it. Hope this was helpful.
