I’ve set this up in my basement and its great for what it does.
The floor isn’t exactly level, so I needed to tweak it a bit, but once sorted it was stable and easy to use.
The “gear” mechanism is smooth and fits to pretty much any location on your handle bars.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI needed to get my legs moving so I bought the Ultrasport trainer. Only took 5 minutes to set up & it was ready. I do a 15 minute work out at 75 yrs old thats good

It came assembled, so very easy to use. Clear instructions. Nice and strong. Can make a bit of noise with the resistance on the wheel when cycling but not really a problem

I have a big mountain bike and it fits fine. Noise is not to bad, but would be lower if I had slick back tyre

Quality product but had to file down an axle not as the fitting on one side of the stand was 1 or 2 mm smaller than the other.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Userswas looking for a value trainer, without spending the earth. easy to change central spindle supplied. Perfect for what I wanted in the colder and wetter non biking weather. now attached to my spare road bike with road tyres so noise not an issue.

Very good and sturdy build – I was ready to go in no time. I’m using this with a fairly standard spec bike with tyres with a reasonable tread and the noise isn’t too loud, which is what I was wary about when I read the reviews before purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve got a Trek Neko 3 (700c). Worked a treat and didn’t have to replace the spindle. Easy peasy to put together and I’m rubbish at mechanics. No more noisy than my hairdryer so I’m cool with that – just wear headphones.

Bought this as it was cheaper than the ‘leading brands’ ones. I didn’t want to spend much as I didn’t know if I would use it after a few weeks. Im please to say I still use it as often as possible. It comes with a spindle that replaced the one on my bike. Easy enough to put up and start using. The only thing I’ve had go wrong is the difficulty selector cable has come loose. I can still increase the difficulty by changing the gears so not really a problem.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI purchased this as part of my training for a 100km charity bike ride. Prior to this my cycling has consisted of short distances to work on extremely rare occasions. It was perfect for the job and got me accustomed to cycling for longer periods. It’s now used to get a bit of extra cardio done.

I researched these and was told to stay clear of the cheaper ones, and to invest in a brand name with a good reputation. I chose to buy it based on the mostly positive reviews. The eagle-eyed buyer will notice this trainer is sold under different brand names and colours at varying prices on Amazon, this one was significantly cheaper than some of the others.

It’s a reasonable size but collapses down into something quite easy to store. It’s currently stored under my bed. Putting it up or down is simple and quick, you open it up, place your bike on and tighten the clamps. It does come with a quick release skewer which I chose to use to prevent damaging/scraping my nice black ones. I would recommend doing the same. The skewer provided was too long for my bike and had to be cut with a hacksaw before the camps would engage properly.

It comes with everything you need: a skewer, wheel block and resistance changer. The resistance changer can be clamped to your handlebars though I found the clamp was quite small. It would fit around my 31.7mm drop bars but I was unable to tighten the clamp properly as it was just too small.

One of my apprehensions when buying was the noise it might generate. It did not generate as much noise as I was lead to believe from reading other reviews, however it is noisy enough to annoy people in your house. I used my road bike on it with slick tyres but expect it to be nosier with mountain bike tyres. I wouldn’t purchase this unless you were going to use it on a ground floor. Typically the noise is fairly low if going at slow speeds, but expect the noise to correlate with your speed.

Overall this is a great piece of kit and I was not disappointed at all.

With winter just round the corner i decided to splash out on a winter work out indoors. Easy to set up, no issues with my Gaint hybrid and 700c wheels though i did change to a slick tyre for the roller. It doesnt take long to get a sweat going and the seven resistance levels all add to the session. Noise is not anywhere as bad as my last turbo trainer, a great wee buy!

This seems to be a good, sturdy product, but I can see myself using it less because I have to change the rear axle each time I use it, and I’m worried it may gradually loosen the quick release and cause problems.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI’ve owned this trainer for nearly a year and I’ve been really pleased with it. It’s robust and easy to use. A couple of criticisms; 1. It’s only suitable for use with road tyres (off-road tyres are extremely noisy). 2. The amount of resistance, even on maximum, might not challenge experienced cyclists.3. It can take time levelling the stand so it doesn’t rock when being used.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersStruggled for a few minutes making it more difficult than it really was to set up, but once I realised my error it was a 5 minute job to make.
If I can do it anyone can.
Product is great was using it straight away, yes it does make a little noise but I did not expect it to have a silencer fitted!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am recovering from two separate accidents, resulting in damage and severe pain, in both knees. I have no cartlege in either knee, The recommendation is surgery! I also suffered a back injury, requring surgery, but because I am an Insulin Dependent Diabetic the Professionals do not recommend it; also I am an ageing pensioner. I have tried various forms of exercise, attending a Fitness Suite, and there has been, as stated, notable improvements. However it is not always convenient to attend, so I decided to set up a small fitness suite at home. The inclusion of the Ultrasport Cycle Training Machine Blue, has been a tremendous asset to my training programme. The obvious inprovement in leg muscle has relieved the pressure on both my knees, and pain is now at an all time low, without the use of pain-killers. I am certainly glad I visited the Amazon website, where I, quite by accident, discovered the training machine, which is exactly what I was looking for, but the low price was was fantastic, and certainly within my budget. THANK YOU AMAZON.

A good well made bit of kit. Easy to set up and a good idea for those winter months when you don’t get out on your bikes so much.

Very simple to set up and I was cycling within half an hour of seeing yhe box. Only used twice but so far very satisfied given the reduction in price on Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNot too noisy, really portable to pack away when we need the room, this is keeping me cycle-ready for the spring. Boredom is an issue, but that is hardly the trainers problem. I have set a laptop up in front of my bike and I play a movie of my normal cycle route I previously recorded on a gopro whilst listening to music.

Husband thought this would be a good idea to use during the winter months to keep fit. Bike fits well and have no problems with it.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGreat item for indoor cycling. Sturdy and gives very good resistance combined with gears.

Genuinely can’t fault it. If I had to say something, it is noizy however I use headphones and listen to music/ film so doesn’t bother me.

** Also it fits on my quick release on my wheel (i notices some people questioning this)

This is so simple to set up and use. In the short time that I have trained on it, I have noticed a marked improvement in my cycling. I am very happy with this turbo trainer and wish I had got it sooner.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersJust received this at the rock bottom price of 32 delivered with prime
Initial impressions are it’s very good value for money and a genuine bargain
Some websites charge approx 5-10 for a quick release rear skewer and the same for the front wheel riser block….this comes with both!
The unit itself seems good quality and it’s seems well put together….only time will tell though
Simple to assemble and to mount the bike and the resistance tensioner is good
Only thing is wouldn’t use it with a MTB tyre…..incredibly noisy….avoid!
I’ve put on a city slick tyre and it’s fairly quiet
All in all pleased with it and it folds up into a compact size for storage
    Would recommend

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI purchased this Ultrasport Training Machine so that I can use my mountain bike in the winter months without getting wet!

Fitting the bike to the a frame of the training machine is very easy and not awkward to do, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Adjusting the roller onto the tyre of your bike is easy to do as was fitting the pressure setting lever onto my handlebars.
I haven’t really noticed much difference when changing settings on the handlebar control, but it must be there for a reason and there are 7 settings to choose from.

I fitted this to my mountain bike and as its in my flat it was noted that it is very noisy! But after I fitted some Schwalbe Slick road tyres to my bike the noise is very much less and bearable as well as making my bike quicker when out on the real road!

If you want to train in front of the tv at home in the comfort of your own home then this system is perfect for the purpose and is well recommended.

    Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersI’m a fair weather cyclist and love getting out in the warmer (drier) weather but want to try and keep fit during the cold winter months. I’d spent a bit of time researching these gizmos and everyone that I spoke with sang their praises, so all that remained was to try and select a model.

This one was not the cheapest model on offer and I was concerned that it hadn’t had any reviews when compared with others out there. However, these concerns were unfounded. The product is simple to use, easy to set up (a couple of minutes) and it comes with everything that you need (wheel block, gear cable, rear wheel spindle etc). It was on the “amazon prime” list so was delivered quickly and had a massive discount on the original price which took it down to the same cost as those with multiple star reviews.

One of the concerns raised in a lot of the reviews is the noise. I have a town and trail bike so neither mountain bike nor completely slick tyres are being used and there is a bit of noise. However, this is nothing overpowering and when the headphones are on you don’t really notice it.

All in all, this is a great piece of kit and takes up very little space in the room. It’ll be an excellent addition to the fitness regime.
