Powerful enough for my sensitive teeth. Been using it everyday since purchase. Battery doesn’t hold a charge for very long but weekly charge is all that’s necessary.

I would definitely recomend this product especially for anyone that suffers from gum disease i use mine twice a day and have seen massive improvement already. One of the more expensive water flossers but definitely worth it and so easy to use!

Excellent at cleaning between teeth, supplied with a good range of attachments, my only criticism is that the power switch is an on / off switch and not a hold on. My previous unit was a Philips one and you had to hold the power switch to keep it running. This one stays on and if you accidentally take the tip out of your mouth water gets sprayed everywhere

Was surprised how effective this is, also the water jets are more powerful than I expected. Word of warning though, need a large sink / basin to use this over as there’s lots of water run off.
High power drains the tank quickly but I tend to use the brush attachment on medium first and then a quick 2nd go with the fine jet.

Teeth feel fresher as when I use string floss. It does take time to get used to and it is difficult to know if you got all the gaps. It is also difficult to clean behind the last tooth without a mirror. And the water tank is empty really quick, I have to refile 4 times which is not really bad but I thought I put it in here. All in all I am happy as I am not a big fan of string flossing which i have done my whole life.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this cordless water flosser as a companion to my main unit I use at home, specifically for taking on trips with me.

As a solution for water flossing away from home, this really does fit the bill – with just as much pressure, whilst also actually being slightly quieter. This flosser is lightweight enough to single hand, and comes with a travel pouch plus a small case for the different heads to protect them.

Using it daily for a week, the battery also held up more than well enough so you could probably leave the charger at home to save a little bulk!

The only caveat is that the water tank is rather small, so unless you’re very efficient with flossing you may need to refill it two or three times to achieve the same result. Also with all the accessories in the pouch, it does feel a little bit stretched – but these are both very minor caveats to an otherwise nice package which fits the bill.

All in all, I can easily recommend this for anyone who water flosses and needs a solution away from home – bonus if you can buy it when on sale. If you’re only using it at home, the mains units are better though!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersOnce upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a brave adventurer named Sir Flossalot. He was on a quest to defeat the fearsome dragon, Plaque, who had been terrorizing the kingdom’s teeth for far too long.

Sir Flossalot knew that he needed a powerful weapon to defeat the dragon, so he turned to the Waterpik Cordless Advanced Water Flosser. With its 3 pressure settings and rechargeable battery, it was the perfect tool for the job. And since Sir Flossalot was always on the go, the Waterpik’s portable design made it easy to take with him on his quest.

The dragon was defeated, and the kingdom rejoiced. Sir Flossalot was hailed as a hero, and the Waterpik Cordless Advanced Water Flosser became a legend. From that day forward, the people of the kingdom flossed regularly and kept their teeth healthy and strong.

This is a great water Flosser and my teeth definitely feel cleaner. But you need to refill the tank several times to clean your whole mouth. I found only the high setting felt like it was doing any cleaning the low and medium settings just wash your mouth.
The battery drains with just one or two uses when on high.

Maybe I’m doing it wrong.. A wierd sensation to be honest and it can get a bit wet&messy (keep the jet part in your mouth as you turn it on otherwise sprays across the room lol). The different heads are a nice touch but again I didn’t “feel” any different. I did have to use the normal string floss for a bit food lodges between the back molars which the waterpik just couldn’t move. One other frustrating bit was needing a 2pin adaptor for the unit as mine did not come with a UK 3pin charger. But seems OK… Will find out when I next see the hygienist if it’s made a difference.

I liked the look of this one. I bought previously 2 from lidl in a space of 3 years as water got in them both and stopped working. The product works perfectly.
My only issue was with the way the item was shipped. No protection what so ever, simply a label stuck on the original box. The box came with corners damaged.
Luckily I was there to accept it as it was a present for my partner, this would have ruined a Christmas present otherwise.

Certainly has helped my teeth and gums health after being plagued with an area of gum disease, since using this it has now cleared up. Battery life is less than expected used twice a day I have to recharge about every 3 days, this isn’t a problem just a minor inconvenience.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSmart look with variable settings. Fairly efficient for achieving a good clean around gum line and between teeth.
A bit bulky to hold. Battery life could be better, only lasting 3 days on highest setting. Bit bulky for taking on holiday.
However prefer it to the philips version I used before this one.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI got this because I have issues with flossing (no space for interdental brushes) and pockets of trapped food caused by my wisdom teeth coming in. I had been using a small brush to try and clean the pockets but it was a bit ineffective and caused a lot of irritation. This is a good alternative. I decided on this pricer one because I had money to spend and it seemed a more trustworthy brand that’d last longer. I haven’t had any issues so far.

I use about one reservoir once to twice a day and the battery lasts a fair bit. However, one reservoir doesn’t last long, just enough to get about all my teeth at a moderate pace on the highest setting. Beware if you use really cold water and have sensitive teeth, it can be a shock. The main issue is how messy it can be. Since one reservoir doesn’t last long before having to refill, it’s rather impractical to use over the shower tray or bath prior to bathing. You’re likely going to get water all over your face and sink area. But, it’s much faster and more convenient for cleaning your teeth. I had no issues with putting the settings to the highest after a first try, just using water that’s a bit less cold goes a long way to combat any sensitivity. I haven’t tried the other head attachments but I assume they’d work as intended. I personally have a sensitive gag reflex which can make it difficult to use at the back but that’s just me, I have issues even using a toothbrush.

It’s pricy (I got it for about 60), but I feel that it was a good purchase that helped with my issues.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI have taken the plunge, literally by purchasing a water flossing product. I have read numerous reviews on this and other similar products before buying, but nothing prepares you for the experience. No matter how dexterous you may be you will splash water everywhere until you get the hang of it. Please persevere, it is worth it and you will genuinely feel the difference once you have used it a few times. I’m sure my dental hygienist will be mightily impressed!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis water flosser does appear to do its job well, but does take a lot of getting used to if you haven’t used one before. The tools provided are fairly comprehensive, but I would have liked to see a tongue cleaner provided as well. As long as you avoid wasting water in the reservoir (switch off when changing position from front to back of the teeth), the water should just last a full session (including tongue cleaning).

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersYes it is a bit tricky to use the first few times but u get used to it fairly quickly . If u are buying this to completely replace the interdental brushes I m not completely sure it does the same job . Even after brushing on high setting I still found some debris stuck. But if u are lazy to floss like I am, this is definitely better than nothing . It s not suitable if u have temporary crowns as it knocks them out .

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersAs a person that doesn’t like flossing or interdental brushes this has been a game changer for me. It took a few attempts to get the balance right of letting the water out but I worked my way up to the high setting.
It sounds gross but to see the small bits in the sink really motivates me that it is working. I use before brushing and it has made brushing my teeth an even more pleasant experience.
You need to remember your charger if going on holiday as it doesn’t last many days if you use the high setting. I use four tanks a day – two each time but I can get round my mouth in one if need be and it lasts about 2 to 3 days. You may need one of the bathroom / shaver converter plugs too. It is bulky and weighty to hold if you have low dexterity but for me it is perfectly fine. May update the review after my first trip to the hygeniest to see if they agree it has improved things.
Edit: Hygeniest noticed a big improvement and I’ve gone from 3 monthly to 6 monthly appointments so the product has paid for itself already. He still thinks I should use brushes / floss and mouth wash too to improve even more. Dentist also said “To keep doing what I’m doing because it is working”. Note I also use an electric toothbrush too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall this flosser is quality made. I was really looking forward to having a good quality water flosser, as with the last another brand named one I bought made it extremely difficult to source periodontal tips which I need for my oral health and in the end it broke from attempts to get ones to fit.

I bought this hoping all issues would be in the past, but the periodontal tips I bought that were linked to suit this flosser via their main website don’t fit properly. Making for a poor cleaning experience.

For the device itself, after full charging with the quite impressive charger I must say, it seems lacking in oomph/pressure. Even my cheaper other brand model would take an eye out where as this feels like it might just hurt a bit. Odd comparison but it’s descriptive.

I’ve been using various flossers over the years, most have been waterpik. I will try and source different tips and come back at a later date with hopefully a more sparkly review, which I’d really like to do.

On a lighter note this thing is coming travelling with me soon and I quite liked the travel bag and the travel stopper that’s provided. Maybe a trip will have us reenergized and up to standard.

    Update:
As a last resort, I tried a new tip and the flosser is now workig perfectly with much much higher pressure than ever. It appears that the supplied tip was faulty and I’ve been testing this for over a week since my negative review. I think its important to not just write when something is bad and with the pressure its kicking out now, its better than the Panasonic/Philips devices I’d used previously. Its easy to recommend buying with it performing this way.

This is quite a bulky item so not ideal for travel. The battery life even after following the charging guidelines is erratic at best. Sometimes after charging you’d get good performance but others terrible. Now after six months it’s unusable. My old panasonic was much better and a smaller unit, better for travelling etc. I had a Philips airflosser but I don’t think they’re as good as a water flossing device hence purchasing this unit. Bottom line is that I cannot recommend anyone buying this as its simply unreliable with mostly average performance at best. Either go for a powered device or try a panasonic.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood results but needs some practice to reduce the issues of using. The water tank is small so for me needs four fills minimum for a full clean. Due to this unit being all in one it must remain upright during use, thus requiring some basic gymnastics to get to some teeth and certainly for the inside of bottom teeth. Due to this, I would only recommend this model type for use in the shower, if this isn’t possible I would go for the fixed base units with a wand which will be much easier to position without the issues of water pick up. I get about 3-4 cleans out of one full charge. There are some unnecessarily poor design features, the filler cap is tiny and very cheaply designed giving me a strong sense it will snap off thus rendering the whole thing useless. The charger is an entirely proprietary hideous sticky out wall wart with a very cheap crispy thin cable that again will not last the life of the unit. If you have a nice-looking bathroom this will stick out like a sore thumb. Would be far better off with a discrete charger, quality soft bendy cable, and charging base.

Be careful how often you use this – take advice from your dentist. I was over using it and it made my teeth very sensitive for a while. Having said that, if you have a crowded mouth and find it hard to use teepee brushes or anything else – this will really help.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWonderful product. Easy to charge and get an ok amount of use between charges depensing on what power level you use. The water tank is a bit small and I find myself using 2 tanks full on medium, 3 on high power setting BUT it only takes a couple of seconds to refill so isn’t a massive draw back or issue.
The overall result and feel is great though and I can visibly see my teeth are cleaner than before around the gum where it’s sometimes hard to get rid of stains and plaque build up.
Overall I really like this product, especially as I am not a fan of dental picks that feel like they are really scraping at your teeth while you target your gumline. This feels a lot nicer and still helps to do the job.
It can go a full 360 so can reach all areas of your mouth with ease

I also purchased some extra waterpik head attachments like the one for plaque removal and the tongue attachment

Word of warning though: do not purchase the whitening attachmebt or the whitening tabs if you buy the portable waterpik as it doesn’t have the compartment to pop the tabs i

This black WaterPik is very attractive and works extremely well. It has a blue light which is on when in use to indicate which of the 3 speeds has been chosen, plus a 2nd blue light which flashes when charging is needed, which changes to solid blue when charged. This is a great feature compared to the older, simpler model which has no lights on it. A full charge can be done in 2 to 4 hours. Although it only comes with a 2-pin UK plug for charging in a shaver socket, a simple 2-to-3-pin UK adapter can be used so it can be charged in an ordinary 3-pin socket. The same heads fit on this model as on my old model. The lowest setting is fast enough for me, and is faster than the high setting on my old one. The one drawback is the small size of the water reservoir as it needs refilling to some extent during use most of the time, but this isn’t really too much of a nuisance.

Excellent for cleaning gaps between teeth and along gum line. I initially thought that the small reservoir relative to other products would be an issue. However it takes maybe 2 seconds to refill, so I use this to clean the gaps between teeth with one tank, refill, and then clean the gum line. I think during COVID that you would have to be careful to clean the exterior of the device, but since it is waterproof you can just rinse it of and wipe it down. Recharging is easy but takes a little while. I usually leave the device charging overnight when it needs it. Very happy with the purchase.

Don’t know how I ever managed without one of these. Really is excellent bit of kit. Have neglected my oral hygiene over the years if I’m honest, have paid the price in terms of tooth pain and poor gum health. Have had this water pick for about a month now and use at least twice a day, alongside brushing. Really does make a huge difference to my oral hygiene. Battery life seems to be fine, charge it up after using maybe 5 or 6 times. Tank size is fine, last about 49 secs in full power before refill required. Recommend warm water with a splash of mouthwash for best results. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersAn excellent device, backed up by many high quality medical studies and research articles. I did some research on its claims, as I cynically anticipated it being a heavily asterisked claim backed up by smallprint as vague as “5.5 out of ten users reported”; but no, this device and its potential benefits seems to have been studied extensively.

My anecdotal experience is that, as a former smoker I used to suffer bleeding gums almost daily while and after brushing despite using a powerful electric toothbrush and chlorhexidine based mouthwashes and toothpastes. After even a week of once daily use with this, my bleeding had subsided significantly; and in the subsequent weeks the bleeding stopped entirely. My mouth feels so much cleaner, too, generally!

The sensation of using the device is likely to be unusual or uncomfortable to begin with, but you soon get used to it; the initial discomfort highly outweighed by its proven dental benefits and a definitely smoother and cleaner mouthfeel after use.

I have not had any issues with the battery life, or the power output being weak; I use it on its highest setting and putting a finger tip near the jet, it feels like a physical object almost pricking the finger.

The only thing I would say is I would have appreciated a larger water tank; as the device in my opinion isn’t very portable as it is, being far larger than an electric toothbrush or something of that nature, and is unlikely to go travelling with me. I think the product designer should have considered that and added a larger water tank (even 1.5x the capacity it is) given that it certainly isn’t even massively portable in its current state. I feel that would have been a worthwhile design compromise, as in its current form I either have to be very swift with my usage or refill the tank once while using it thoroughly (front and back of all teeth gaps and gums) on the high power setting. Not a big deal, but I think would have been easily rectified and would benefit from sacrificing its “portability” for a greater capacity.

The issues people seem to have with not being able to see the controls or light displays while using it I couldn’t really agree with, as you can very easily rotate the head of the device a full 360 degrees, which means when using it in the mirror I can clearly see the setting I’m on and the battery indicator lights while I’m using it.

I purchased a second one for my partner, and two of my work colleagues also purchased after one my recommendation and also only have positive things to say about the Waterpik.

Perhaps I would have thought twice at its original retail price, but I’m really glad I picked (Piked?) this up at a discounted price during a lightning deal.

    + Easy to use
    + Powerful water jet
+ Very clean teeth and gums, post use
+ Clinical/medical research backs up its claims
    + Sturdy device
    + Great add on accessories
    + Decent battery life

    – Not in my opinion very portable at all, other than from room to room in the house
    – Quite cumbersome, might not suit older people or those with upper body strength impairments
    – Low capacity water tank

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersAfter scouring the internet for a few days I finally decided on WP 560UK .It seemed quite expensive for a tooth pik but I needed something better than floss as i was getting food stuck in places I couldn’t reach.I certainly wasn’t disappointed with my purchase .This has 3 speeds/pressure settings ,which in my opinion is a lot better than just having low and high( I suppose that’s obvious really)
It comes with a charger, travel bag and It has a set of 4 tools which consists of 2 Classic Jet Tips for general use, 1 Plaque Seeker Tip for use with dental implants and other dental work, 1 Orthodontic Tip for cleaning around braces which come with it and you can add to them separately. The charger clips on with a strong magnet onto the front of the Waterpik and when charged(which takes 4 hrs which in my opinion is quick) It comes with a 2 pin plug so if you want a 3 pin one you will have to purchase it separately
The reservoir lasts approx 45 seconds. I sometimes refill it 3 times but not everybody will need to do this and it is advisable to use tepid water.
On top of the flosser where you place the tools there is a turn dial so you can get your tool in the right position The buttons are placed in the perfect place for your fingers so you don’t have to fumble trying to stop or alter the speed whilst using.
There is a quick release button so you can easily remove the tools .This is one of my best buys this year and the only downfall for me is that i wish i bought it sooner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Waterpik worth every penny

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our Users2yr Update: I remain happy that I bought the Waterpik flosser and have had great use from it so have left it with 4 stars but I have decided to look at other options for the following reasons:-

WATER RESERVOIR – this is difficult to remove and clean
LOOSE TIPS – Not a major problem but they still blow off on occasion
CHARGING ARRANGEMENT – The magnetic charger is prone to be knocked off
BATTERY LIFE – Would be nice to have to recharge less frequently.

The Waterpik has lost a star because the first one I received had a fault. The heads kept blowing off during use despite being carefully seated in. This was changed rapidly by Amazon but I was even more disappointed to find the second one also had a fault. In this case the water flow slowed down to almost a standstill during use and then I found it very difficult to open the filling port because of a vacuum in the reservoir. Rather than just send it back again I contacted the company who sent a replacement reservoir but that did not solve the problem. I asked them for technical advice as to why it was happening but all they would do was to offer to replace the Waterpik again. I discovered I was able to sort the problem out myself by changing one of the rubber seals for a less bulky version, so just kept it !

I chose a portable flosser because I did not want a bulky piece of kit in the bathroom and wanted to be able to take it away. I considered the Phillips flosser but decided that the Waterpik was probably a more effective device. I think if you have a mouth in good condition then the Phillips could be an option. From my reading it seems the Phillips uses less water, has better battery technology and is smaller however once I got the Waterpik working properly I was very happy with it:-

    Battery:
This uses Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries. This technology does not like to be left on permanent charge. I am hoping to get good life out of them by charging for a few hours when the Waterpik indicates they are low. I find I recharge it one or twice a week.

    Water jet power:
The pulsating water jet is very powerful and on a maximum setting can be very uncomfortable if directed on the wrong part of the mouth. I cant see why anyone would want a more powerful jet ! There are 3 settings if you want to use lower power.

    Reservoir size:
This is a balance between how bulky the Waterpik is (it is quite bulky) and how long the water lasts. Refilling is very quick indeed . I tend to have to refill the Waterpik once during use but if you are less thorough or use a lower setting you would get away with not having to.

    Noise:
Yes you can hear it but it is on a par with an electric razor or toothbrush.

    Does it work ?
My dentist was happy I was using the Waterpik but pointed out that it should be used in addition to other dental hygiene procedure not in place of them. There is no question that it makes my mouth feel cleaner after use and if I am at home will often pop into the bathroom to use it after eating just because it makes me feel better.

I am very happy with the Waterpik and would have given it 5 stars if I had not received two faulty ones !

Golden Review Award: 73 From Our UsersI purchased this water pik after a few weeks of deliberation and comparing a number of alternatives.

I had quite a Iot of dental work done over an 18 month period, having broken off one of my front teeth. It was not until this happened that I realised how bad my previous dentist had been in looking after my teeth. I have gastritis and it was not until he retired and I changed dentists I realised just how badly my teeth had been affected by my gastritis. Hence my decision to see how I could help myself improve my aural health.

Now that most of the work is completed I have a dental routine which appears to be helping keep down the acid and reducing the damage to my teeth. A big part of this is with the assistance of the Water pik.

I use it at least twice a day; firstly to remove the food debris which accumulates between my teeth- in places where I cannot use a tepe brush and again after I have brushed my teeth to remove any acid produced by my toothpaste. Followed then by Curasept mouthwash which again helps to protect against acid. I still use the tepe brushes – I do not see the Waterpik as an alternative, but as additional to my usual routine.

The Water pik has a small brush for use around dental implants and braces, etc. which is extremely useful. The pack comes with 4 attachments, one of which I use as a nose cleaner, again effective for helping with my gastritis.

I also use it any time during the day if I have eaten anything which has stuck between my teeth. Again it cleans the debris extremely efficiently. Some of my teeth are very close together.

Before purchasing I read numerous comments regarding difficulty of use. As with a previous reviewer, my dentist stated that there was no real proof that this works instead of string flossing, but I find string flossing not easy to use and the Waterpik gives me a better result.

I use my Water pik in the shower which reduces the problem of water spray significantly. Other than that, spray is kept to a minimum if used over a sink or basin keeping the mouth very slightly open and not stood upright looking through a mirror. The Water pik has the added advantage of 3 strength levels and I would recommend starting on low and filling with warm water. Not too much of a problem if used correctly.

In my opinion, I have found that the battery life is also very good. Bearing in mind my usage I need to charge it about every 10-14 days.

I initially gave it 4 stars as I have not yet been able to test its use for travel, although I cannot foresee any problem with that in my particular circumstances

Would I recommend it – without a doubt had it not started leaking

However I have found that it is leaking quite badly. Not sure where the leak is coming from but will consider contacting Amazon in view of this. I left it on the window sill and the next morning there was quite a lot of water leakage as you can see. I hadn’t noticed it before as it is usually empty or I empty it when I have finished using it. I usually have to fill it at least once and had noticed it before but thought that I had spilt water when filling it. The alternative, make sure its emptied after every use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Would I recommend the Water pik - without a doubt if it didn't leak

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThis works really well although granted not as powerful as a standard model that is powered from the mains. But my bathroom doesn’t have an electrical outlet and I travel often enough to make this the best model for me. I had the standard model in the past and I was concerned that the power would be weak in this model. But I am pleasantly surprised and the water power is strong enough to clean my teeth on high. I think if you are a beginner with these type of devices starting on low would be best and working your way to high is recommended.

Charge: The charge lasts the entire week and I use it daily and occasionally more than once a day. It charges quickly in 4 hours. The lights show when it needs to be charged and when it is complete and ready to go again.

Travel: I packed it in the travel bag which is simply a soft microfiber sack with a string. I wish the bag were better and had a pocket for the implements. Instead you have to remove the attached head so the waterpik fits in the bag. Then there is no place for the head to go. I pack tightly and was concerned that the head would be snapped in my suitcase, so I packed it in with toothbrush and other toiletries.

Grip: It has a molded pebbled grip and that makes holding it when wet really easy.

Waterproof: I use it in the shower everyday.

Reservoir: It is a nice size, and if I need it I can fill it more than once to cover all my needs.

Spinning head: I don’t really use this feature but it does work smoothly.

Buttons: All are soft grip and easy to use and the power is marked with the power symbol and easy to feel with my fingers. The button to remove the head is at the rear near the top and pops the head right off for easy changes.

Maintenance: To get it empty I hold it with the power on at the last few moments tilted in a direction of the end of the take up tube so it empties fully. Then I wipe it with a towel and place it on the shelf.

Water gun capable: I guess it could be used that way but it doesn’t really shoot far or accurately so I’d vote no and just get a really good water gun or balloons instead.

All in all this has been a good purchase and works satisfactorily, travels well and charges quickly.
