Read some mixed reviews about this so bought it with a bit of reluctance. Turns out it’s a fantastic piece of kit and it’s definitely a case of ‘horses for courses’. I’ve got a chainsaw and the usual array of lopers and pruning saws, and around 20m of willow hedge that needs cutting back every spring, plus trees and saplings that need pruning. Chainsaw is too big for this, and lopers/pruning saw take forever. This gets it all done in no time and with minimum fuss. Got a spare battery but haven’t needed it yet – 30 mins on the willow hedge and it’s still going strong. No problems with the chain slipping or loosening – but I do keep it well lubed with chain oil. Which isn’t a hassle – just squeeze some round the chain every 10 minutes. Brilliant bit of kit if you need something smaller than a chainsaw and more than a pruning saw.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWill start by saying all my power tools are from worx I have mostly all of them and I wouldn’t buy any other brand mine didn’t come with bar oil the bottle was empty lol but thats fine cos I had bar oil for my other petrol chinsaw which is good for big jobs but then you have to mix the 2 stroke oil fill it full of bar oil and empty it when your finished using it and the petrol to when she starts i let her tick over for about 2 or 3 minutes before using her but with this awesome bit of kit put the battery on oil up the chain and your ready to cut ok its not going to cut down a huge tree but really good for anything the size of the chain and a little bit bigger there are 2 guys from the UK that do videos on YouTube of worx tools you should subscribe to both there channels worx should be paying the to review there tools and another thing I didn’t mention the chinsaw I have there’s no way I would even think about climbing a tree with it straped to my bags but with this no problem at all its also very light weight its like a kids toy compared to my chainsaw I also got the extension pole witch was 40 quid more never used one before but it worx really well just but it you’ll love it 10 out of 10 from me

Very good product. Cuts great. It does jam when battery low, fortunately I have a few other worx tools so change battery to finish the job. I bought the extension pole but not used that yet – I do wonder if it should be longer. I want to buy a spare chain but struggling to find one in stock anywhere.

Surprising what you can cut with this… so handy taking small bits off branches

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOurs has chopped down a few hunderd metres of over sized hedges including 15cm trees (with care!). Used regularly for chopping wood. Fab job.

Love this tool. Light and easy to stretch out to reach far away branches. Battery life ok, relatively easy to clean. The chain will wear out quickly as there is no oil reservoir like a full size saw, but get yourself a spare, and oil regularly to make it las

You get a good ammount of cuts out of this per battery which surprised me.and it cuts well. Ive cut 70mm trees with no issue.

The only issue i have found is every so often i have to tighten the chain up

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBrought to clear up some big branches from a silver birch that had been cut down using a B&D pole saw and also to tidy up a big bush that was becoming a nuisance next to our driveway making it difficult to open the car door. It tacked these like a dream. Easy to operate, not heavy (was going to buy a reciprocating saw until I realise how much they weigh) and recharge takes less than an an hour for the standard battery. I think that any adult could use this without effort, be you a fit guy in your 20s or an older person. You have to keep the chain lubed as it doesn’t have a self lube system. There is a small bottle in the package (empty on delivery) so expect to have to buy some chainsaw oil. I personally think the supplied bottle won’t last long as it seems a bit flimsy. I bought a traditional steel oil can https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000LFTT6K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which does the job for me. I also bought the Worx hard case to store the saw in as I don’t see it getting regular use apart from a few times a year. Overall a great produc

Bought to disassemble trees about 4 to 6 inch trunks. Chews through the smaller branches easily.

I have a few chainsaws, some would say too many, 3 mains powered, one 36v bosch and now ths tiny thing.
So far this has covered 90% of what i need a chainsaw for,
trimming 50mm or so branches up a ladder, and cutting laurel plants down to size etc.
It obv wont replace a full size chainsaw but its so damn handy, light and easy to use.
I took the plastic guard off the top the minute I got it, and use silicone spray lubricant every couple of minutes.
The chains are hard to find and cost 12 a go which is a joke! But apart from that its a brilliant bit of kit!

This is my fifth Worx tool I have have bought now and it hasn’t disappointed.
As soon as you take it out the box and put the battery on it feels perfectly balanced and lightweight.
    Build quality is simply outstanding!
So I set to and cut up as many bits of log/wood Bush stuff as I could find and the little chainsaw did the lot with no grumbles at all.
The battery predictably only went down one bar.
Don’t think about it, buy it !!

i was in the middle of a detailed description of this products uses when my browser decided to do an up grade. So a condensed version is. A wonderful little tool that nfar exceeded my expectations. Worked with ease on big tree branches. so keep a sharp chain and use common sense and it will be a good friend. Dont forget chains do neede sharpening from time to time.
