Shocking instructions!
Safe is sturdy enough and all installed OK but the instructions are dire. I’m not the first to complain so come on Yale, pay for a technical authors time and get the instructions changed.

I recently purchased the Yale YSEB/250/EB1 Motorized High Security Home Safe and I am very impressed with its quality and security features. The safe itself is well made and sturdy BUT the included anchor bolts are nowhere near good enough. A trip to Screwfix and about 5 resolves this.

Spacious to keep documents, jewellery, and expensive watches. Incredibly heavy so not easy to carry, or someone to run away with it.
Love this safe. Ordered 3 more for other family members and friends. It’s strong and feels secure. The key pad is battery operated but you get a key with it too so u can open the safe If the battery dies. It also has a 9 volt battery contact underneath the keypad so u can use any 9 volt battery to power the keypad and open the safe should the main battery die.
Beware it has two separate default code that you would need to change. The instruction doesn’t make it very clear. Also only one key.
I like the easy of use and fairly easy installation into a solid concrete floor for the security of low/medium cost items… the locking and unlocking are very easy! The bolting down of this safe is key so if you’re not good with the specifics of the drilling of concrete and use of anchor bolts, then get professional help.
Great features in this product. Secured it to the back wall with my own real plugs. Recommend it.
The brown delivery box does NOT identify the product as a safe. There is a safe product cardboard box inside the outer packaging.

This is a fab safe. It’s easy to use, has a light and locks and unlocks perfectly every time.

Nice safe, but very poor fixings
Well made and easy to use safe. The provided fixings are absolutely useless and I wasted an hour trying to use them. If you buy this, don’t waste your time with them, buy some decent ones with captive ends. I’m amazed that Yale buyers didn’t spot this and resolve before marketing
A Safe bet.
Good medium sized safe for small office or home. Easy to set up and use.
Quite sturdy and secure. Only bad point is the LED display is off-set and can only be read at high level. You have to look up at the blue screen to read it and, there is only 1 key supplied with it.
Great value safe which feels very secure
One of the fixing bolts needed my very handy husband to stop it “sticking” half way down. But, apart from that installation was very easy. Setting up the code was simple and so far, so good!
The manual is very minimal, lots of languages, but very badly explained. Especially the installing turns out to be a bit of a nightmare. The guide does not tell you the diameter and or depth of the holes needed. When the plugs get installed they don’t grip very well so I could just yank the whole vault from the wall. So I probably drilled the holes too deep? I have no clue thanks to this manual.

When you are provided limited bolts and the female side you push into the wall drops there is no spare and you can’t get another.
I would recommend this product as it is surprisingly good!
Sadly it arrived damaged with scratching to the outer case as it had been damaged in transit presumably by Amazon, which was disappointing. We had no option but to use it as we needed to install the safe urgently.
Points to note;
It was supplied with batteries (yes it came with batteries)
There is an internal light which is very useful
It has an illuminated digital display above the keypad
Poor quality fixing bolts – I would strongly recommend that you source your own fixing bolts as the ones supplied don’t match the quality of the safe and let it down. They weren’t suitable to provide a secure fixing into a concrete floor.
Remember to delete the factory default code! Concerningly, it remains in operation even after you have programmed in your new code!!!
Overall it looks very smart (apart from the scratches on mine!) and appears to be very secure.
This box is huge! Bigger than I expected, I guess I didn’t check out the measurements in real life..lol. It’s robust so it’ll last long but just make sure you have space to store it somewhere out of sight. Had to return as I wanted a smaller box.

A compact sturdy safe that was easy to instal against an outside wall. Setting a code was straightforward but don’t rush the log in (steady pace) or you will get an error message
Just what I needed.
A good, solid laptop safe. I’m pleased with the build quality. The only downside is the thin, undersized fibrous mat, presumably intended to prevent scratching the laptop on the fixing bolt heads. Using the internal dimensions, I cut a carpet tile to a snug fit. Laptop luxury!
The safe is all as described and fitting it was a challenge but OK. The problem came when I tried to programme my safe code. The instructions that come with the safe are not just complicated but they are incorrect. I thought I was going to have to return the safe until I went onto the Internet and found the correct instructions. Once I had these setting it up was very straightforward.
Didn’t like that is was in a box that identified the contents for all to see. My neighbour took it in for me. Should of been better concealed.
Like that is does what I wanted it to do and easy enough to fit and set up.
I had a cheap safe for years. The batteries died and I couldn’t find the key. I was able to open it with a pointed kitchen knife. I’m very happy with this Yale safe. It’s very secure and the key is very complicated. It’s also got a backup 9v battery plug-in. Definitely recommend this safe to anyone.
A well made safe with the added bonus of a handy internal LED lamp which comes on when the door is opened, initially I thought it was just a gimmick but its quite handy. Its heavy for its size and far better constructed than my previous safe which failed and took ages to get open which was a result of the supplied key failure. My only concern is opening it if it fails, however the high quality double sided key which is supplied should ensure that access is guaranteed . I am happy with my purchase and the quality of the safe.
This amazing safe ticks all the boxes for me. Elegant and clean design. It has a 4-8 digit code and a further master code. Simple to operate. The physical key is a lifesaver if you forget your code. Should the internally fitted 4xAA batteries run out, a 9v battery can be connected externally to power up the unit. It has a little internal light. Inside it is plain but has padded surfaces and a removable middle shelf making storage more versatile. inside the door, there are little hooks for hanging keys. Downsides: backlit display is hard to read unless you are viewing straight on.
Good quality Home/office Safe
Exactly as expected. The instructions are poor but not difficult to work out how to program the codes.
It is also fire resistant (1hr) so is ideal for documents.
No need to worry about the batteries failing as it can be powered externally with a 9V battery – nice touch!
Just be aware that it is very heavy!
After buying yales electronic digital door lock a year ago and absolutely falling in love with it I knew this would be a great buy and I’m not disappointed. The touch screen is the same design as the lock and is very touch sensitive and responsive. The safe is clean cut and very …..shall we say sleek and isafe!! Looking.
DO NOT LOCK THE DOOR BEFORE PUTTING BATTERIES IN AND CHOOSING A PIN !!!!! I didn’t do this as I have a brain but reading some of the other reviews quite a few have!!!! Haha
So if you get one and love it all you need now is their door lock to complete your Yale collection!!!!
