Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis product will allow you to review your old negatives. It is however, not outstanding a=or very high tech or spec. If you just have a few old sets of negatives and you want to view them to decide what they are and if you want to print them then this will suffice. However, if you are hoping to reminisce with others, then you may want to pay slightly more and get one with a projector.
I ought this for my partner who has hundreds of old negatives but after an hour she got bored using it.
I think in this case, i should have paid more, perhaps for one which converts to JPEG.
You pays your money and takes your chose.

Golden Review Award: 90 From Our UsersWorks well although with some old slide mounts the ejector button can not always remove the slide. Not really an issue: a quick shake and rotation and the slide slips out. Useful USB power cable supplied to avoid batteries having to be used all the time

Golden Review Award: 90 From Our UsersMy old viewer finally gave up after 50 years! This one is a big improvement as you would expect. Like the bigger screen and ease of use. Haven’t tried the negative viewer but the slides are good. Battery and electric.
Does what I wanted it to do.

Overall, very good, but DOES NOT facilitate viewing negatives. (It said in the description that it does.) Yes, they fit in, but that’s not the same thing. But is all fairness, good value. And although the viewing screen is quite small, its very clear.

I am pleased with the viewer as it allows me to see slides from my childhood that I haven’t previously been able to see. Lots of memories from my late parents, wonderful.

Golden Review Award: 137 From Our UsersI bought this as a present for my eighty-six year old Mum. She has a lot of slides (pictures taken during the 1960s and loves to look at them. This slide projector will make that easier and give her pleasure

Golden Review Award: 141 From Our UsersDoes what I hoped it would do, but needs to be kept on a flat surface not just held in your hands sitting on the sofa. Good projection was even able to take a picture of the slide with my mobile phone! Everything I wanted.

Golden Review Award: 138 From Our UsersI was looking for an inexpensive negative and slide scanner. This product fitted the bill perfectly. An added bonus is that it can run from USB power (cable included. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 94 From Our UsersI have several thousand slides dating back 60 years which I want to review and digitise those worth keeping. This slide viewer is an excellent way to start the process. Once I have decided which slides to keep then I will use the high resolution slide scanner that I already have to store them on an SD card and complete the process.

Golden Review Award: 159 From Our UsersThere’s so many slide viewers o choose from – but this one works well, is easy to operate and efficient. The backlight is well balanced – but remember to turn it off when not in use (my very old slide viewer used to turn on when the slide was inserted and go off when ejected – this does not). Otherwise no problems at all and would appear to be robust for the future.

I had hundreds of slides to sort out which was the reason I got this.
It was ok, but sometimes the slides became stuck & it was a struggle to release them.

Good little device for the money. Magnification was sufficiently high and clear enough to enjoy the slides and use my smartphone camera to take photos of the images. Use to view negatives limited as there is nothing to hold the film flat and negatives and not converted to positive images. I wouldn’t have expected that facility at thus price though!

I had a number of old slides that I wanted to see again. This allowed me to view the slides. It is hand-held so the picture is relatively small but good enough to see the pictures. Some unusually thicker slides occasionally get stuck in the slot, so I had to jiggle the viewer (or use tweezers) to free them. Overall, pleased with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 192 From Our UsersMy husband and I had to go through lots of old slides to decide which to dispose of or have prints taken off. This was a more modern version of one I’d had years ago. I liked that it held the slide in, then dropped it in a little basket at the press of a button. The pictures were lovely and clear. I chose this one however for the bonus of it already having the batteries provided. A BIG plus.

Easy to set up and operate – all that is required is the fitting of the batteries, which are supplied. My only criticism concerns the eject mechanism. This works fine with heavier, plastic-mounted slides, but is less effective with the lighter, card-mounted slides, some of which you will find yourself having to shake out.

It is simple to use and works well if slides are mounted on plastic frames. I found the carboard mounts often stuck on the removal slide which was a bit annoying. Otherwise quite happy with my purchase. I have not tried viewing negatives which not been mounted.

Golden Review Award: 172 From Our UsersI purchase this as we needed such a device urgently and this appeared to be the best value available. Picture quality is ok for basic use: we just needed to quickly check which slides we wanted to keep, pending transfer to digital, and it does this adequately.
We ordered a DC Adaptor – not supplied, so ordered separateIy – but this was a failure and we have reverted to rechargeable batteries. It is easy to use, despite a tendency for some slides not to eject if the unit is held at the wrong angle.
After a month’s use I had to dismantle the unit to clean the components as they had become dusty. The unit appears robust and should enable me to work through the many slides I have build up over the years!

Good for deciding which of the many slides I have should be transferred to digital – will have to get something more sophisticated to do the latter.
Seems silly to say it (but nowhere can I see it made clear) that 35mm negatives are not made positive by this projector. It merely magnifies them so that you might have a clearer idea as to who or what is on each negative.

This was a sturdy and well made product and I would have awarded it 5 stars if not for one niggling problem. While plastic/glass slides eject smoothly and easily the cardboard ones, being much lighter, tend to get stuck and have to be manually pushed through to the eject tray. That said I am happy with the product and the screen and backlight are more than adequate.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersDoesn’t like card mounted or agfa mounted slides – card are too thin and get stuck in machine, agfa are really a but thick and although it handles them ejection is not always efficient.
Allows one to see what is on the slide, but magnification isn’t great so you may want to consider one where this is better – but at the end of the day it did the job I needed it to on most standard 35mm 2″ slides.
