It is very easy to use, to read and it stores previous readings. The large size arm band is comfortable and the metal allows for one person to use and pull tight.

Device works perfectly and also matches readings from a device produced by a different manufacturer.

Quite chuffed to have nabbed this on a 55% off offer, but would probably pay the full price if I’d needed to anyway.

    Good Buy.

Well made device. Looks and feels like it’s high quality. Give consistent readings. A little bit tricky at first figuring out how the armband goes on, but once you figure it out it’s a doddle. Can take batteries, and an ac-dc adaptor, which is not included. Recommend!

Golden Review Award: 59 From Our UsersI have been asked to take my blood pressure twice a day for a week. I had my Omicon nurses machine somewhere in the house, and it was removed from my medical bag. So I used the wrist BP machine and these are very inaccurate, it was so high.. I couldn’t send those results in. So I went onto Amazon to purchase this one. This isn’t an Omicon machine, but had good reviews, so I thought I would try it.

My readings have been similar now I have this new one, and seems much more accurate. The wrist bp machines are less accurate because of the placement on the wrist,

The A & D machine I haven’t seen before nor used, even though I am a semi retired nurse/ care senior worker. Works virtually out of the box, so a very simple process.

I like very much that it comes with four x AA batteries, easy to insert and put the back on..

Unlike my wrist BP machine, this one doesn’t ask lots of questions like the date, time etc. This one once the batteries are in situ, is done, so easy. Now for those who are new on how to take your blood pressure correctly, please continue to read.

I am left handed, my BP is always taken on that side

If you have had an operation on an arm or shoulder, please use the other arm

Ensure the cuff fits you before starting the machine.

Put the cuff on, once in place, ensure it is tight, but not too tight. You should be able to put two fingers inside the cuff.

The grey connector or tube that runs from the cuff to the machine must lie on the inner part of your arm as straight as possible, ie like a straight line.

It is best to sit on a chair with a back

Feet on the ground, and no cross legs

The machine is better on a level stable surface

A pillow can be put under the arm to keep everything level.

After this, you should be ready, press the start button.

You will need to keep still whilst the machine measures the three readings.

To understand the three readings as follows

    1. The first one, ie the top number, is your blood pressure when your heart beats.
    2. The second or middle one is your blood pressure when your heart relaxes
    3. The third is to measure how many times your heart beats each minute, so the pulse rate.

To understand or to give your reading to a health professional, the highest number is always the systolic pressure and always given first, the middle number is what’s called diastolic. So the top number could be 120 systolic / 80 diastolic.

I hope the information helps with using this machine.

Currently this BP machine is an excellent price reduced from 37.99 to 19.79 so 48% off so a great buy.

The battery life for the first four batteries is up to 7 hours, always best to keep some spare.

This BP machine is clinically validated for accuracy

    The cuff size 22 – 32 cm

In the box comes an information sheet + instructions + cuff + batteries + machine.

I would have liked a safety bag with the machine to keep it nice and clean, otherwise I will need to buy one or keep in the box.

This is a very good machine and just as accurate as others in this tier.

Very happy with my purchase, delivery and price.

    Thank you to the seller

I hope my review helps you

5.0 out of 5 stars 99% accurate, decent price currently on offe

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersArrived well packaged and quickly, reduced to 20 which is crazy cheap! The machine itself is literally idiot proof (well, there’s always a few out there).
Popped the 4 aa batteries in (supplied), connect the hose (be sure to press quite firmly) and you feel it click into place. Place your arm in the cuff, line up the white dot with the vein in your arm and just press start, in about 30 seconds you have your reading.
The display is excellent, nice and big and there’s a little colour chart on the left hand side with a black square which shows you what your reading, I was in the amber segment but there’s 2 green segments and 4 red segments. I recently had to give blood pressure readings for my diabetes nurse and used the large machine at my local surgery waiting room and I made a note of the readings and this device has shown almost exactly the same readings, so I would confirm that it is very accurate… But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the instructions and fit the cuff correctly, or you will not get a correct reading and you’ll come on here and leave a crap review (you know who you are)!
Last thing, I would leave the rubber hose attached to the unit because if you keep pulling it out and refitting it everytime you use it you might wear out the connection.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe doctor was worried about my blood pressure and suggested taking some readings at home. Bought this as it seemed to be linked to the NHS and it works like a dream. One button so no messing about, off it goes and gives you a reading.

Turns out I have “Whitecoat syndrome” which means I get elevated blood pressure when in the presence of a physician. Which is not the super power I would have wished for.

The product is easy enough to use, but how accurate it is I am not altogether sure. I appear to be getting readings in the general range that I should but without professional guidance it could be wildly inaccurate.

Ideal for the work bag. Accurate readings, easy to use and quick to obtain readings – some machines can seem to take forever. Trusted brand by UK healthcare, so can’t recommend much more than that for HCPs or patients doing home monitoring.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Users10 years ago I bought a A&D Medical Blood Pressure Monitor for my work in General Practice. I retired 7 years ago, and the machine was never recalibrated or checked as it used to be done annually at my surgery.
I thought it was time to invest in a new one. It works very well and is easy to use. My old one gives the same readings, showing no deterioration in function over the decade, which I find remarkable.

I bought this as it is the same brand and model that my doctor uses.
    Gives reliable and repeatable results.
Burns through batteries fairly quickly – expect a month to six weeks if used twice a day.

I bought this blood pressure monitor on the recommendation of a friend. I have used it several times and it appears to be reasonably accurate. The screen is large and very easy to read in most lights. It is not rear illuminated which would be a nice touch.
The elasticated cuff is a good size and unless you are Arnie or a body builder it should suit your arm size, as it is very adjustable.
    A couple of minors,
One it would be nice to have a little bag or cheap case you could store it in.
Two. It would be nice to have an ability to charge through a usb or other means.( I believe there is a model which allows connection to charge)
Three. The battery back is plastic and is not robust enough to stand any mishandling or roughness when fitting batteries in in. I think it should be rubberised or made more substantial. This part will fail.
Other than that for the money it is good value and very professional looking. I would buy one again! DB

I bought this for my parentsas a replacement for a BP monitor which was about 10 years old. I have not used A&D previously. This a very sleek, easy to use and accurate monitor. From just installing the batteries, it was up and running. Very accurate readings. I would really recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have low blood pressure and have been monitored by GP but wanted to get a consistent picture of whether my love BP was my normal state.
These units are so easy to use and seem to correlate well with result at GP.
Being able to measure in a relaxed environment at home gives a much better view of actual BP rather than a midday appointment at a doctor’s where you may be stressed out in a hurry.
    Good piece of ki

Hello, I am highly delighted with my purchase from your company. This Blood Pressure Monitor is amazing, really so easy to use. The monitor can record your readings for later viewing, or you can write the results down for your Surgery. I would certainly recommend using this monitor to others. The quality is outstanding, delivered very quickly indeed, and packaged very well. I thank you from a highly delighted customer, kind regards

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent for monitoring blood pressure at home. Gives quick and clear readings. Has a colour coded bar along the side red yellow and green to help you understand if you are in the high ok or low range of readings. Very simple to use and lightweigh

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a handy little unit if you need to take regular blood pressure readings. The instructions are a little puzzling at first, but basically you just need to make sure that the armband (included) is put on correctly and not too tight, then press the start button. It gives the blood pressure and pulse readings. Not sure how long the (included) four AA batteries will last though. For the price, this seems good value.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersNo backlight, no bluetooth etc etc. Just does BP and pulse.
    Nice big numbers for BP.
It does have (iirc) 30 memories, but the memory review is just in reverse order (newest first), and you have to wait for it to count back to earlier readings.
BUT it does do Blood Pressure rather nicely.
The arm band is a “medium”, and is marked with limits for too big or too small. One might need a bigger band if one was testing someone very thin, or a younger child, and perhaps a bigger one if folks have upper arms like Olympic weightlifters! As it is, I fall just about in the middle of the size range for the standard arm band (supplied).

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersEasy to use & accurate. I tested mine out when I went to gp to see how accurate it was to his & it was spot on. I will say if you have large arms this may not fit you and you will need the next size cuff as I get this on at a push. The instructions are very easy tel you where to line the arrows up to your arm etc I find it easier to do on one arm than the other so do try both arms. I got one because I’ve been diagnosed with very high blood pressure & with medication & the machine we can monitor it, its doing fab & pressure is coming down. It also does your gear rate & you can store results into the memory. It will not start until you press start & when it’s done it will go quite & beep.

Golden Review Award: 218 From Our UsersAfter a recent visit to my doctor, it was noted that my blood pressure was a bit high. It was the first time I’d ever had a higher than normal reading, so it was quite a shock. My doctor then said that I needed to have my blood pressure monitored for two weeks. This would have meant daily visits to my doctors surgery which isn’t that near to me. So I decided to buy one instead.

Looking on Amazon, there are loads of options but I chose this one at a good price and it had a decent amount of reviews. It arrived the following day through Amazon Prime. It’s easy to set up – you just have to push the hose into the unit and you are ready to go once you have installed the included batteries.

A press of the button and it starts reading. Now I read on some reviews that it doesn’t pump up too much…. it has to so that it can read your bp. Within about 30 seconds you have your reading as well as pulse rate. A good addition is that there is an indicator on the side to inform you your grading for high (note: not low) blood pressure.

When I went back to my doctors, I took the machine with me and asked to compare to the machine my doctor had and found that this was very accurate. So I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decently priced home blood pressure monitor.
