I am using this as part of a dual monitor setup on a PC with one HDMI and one DP output, connected to two identical monitors with HDMI inputs. It works perfectly with the same picture quality on both monitors. The monitors are also correctly identified by Windows and audio works fine. A good low cost method of using a HDMI monitor or TV with a DP output device.

This is my second of these display port to hdmi converters for the same pc so I can add a Huion Kamves 13 pro screen graphics tablet.

    Works perfectly!

Don’t be put off by the flexi cable part of this adapter as it actually protects your pc components from being jammed up against the wall behind and damaged. If anything, it allows the pc to sit closer to the wall behind.

Does what it says on the tin, bought to connect my Mini PC (Dell 3060 with Intel HD 630 graphics)
with my LG 4K 65″ TV. Didn’t want to use the HDMI connection as it was only HD, this adapter does a great job connecting the 4K DisplayPort output to my TV’s HDMI input. Good price for genuine Active 4K 60Hz.
PC has windows 11 loaded and this works fine.

I was initially disappointed as I was not getting 4k @ 60Hz listed among the available resolutions, but after a reboot everything worked as expected.

A word of caution though when using this adapter with a laptop: there is a 6+ years old bug with Windows which results in the inability of Windows to remember the monitor configuration when DisplayPort is involved.

Windows will always try to send a signal to the DisplayPort adapter even if there is no monitor attached to it, or even if the monitor is turned off. If in the display settings you specified “Internal panel” only, Windows will simply disregard the setting and revert to the last setting that involved the DisplayPort output.

I solved this by assigning a key shortcut that forces the use of the internal panel that I trigger when needed (e.g. login, wake after sleep and so on).

While I couldn’t get 4K 60Hz to work I realise this is probably an issue with my USFF PC as the old iGPU can’t keep up. However I wanted it for 1440p 120Hz and this works flawlessly! If anyone wants to know this supports 2560x1440p @ 120Hz. I can’t seem to get 100hz or 60hz to work at 1440p but this could be my TV and will likely scale to your display anyway. Highly recommended!

We have an older computer that has displayport outputs and had wanted for a while to connect it to out older TV (which only had HDMI inputs). This adapter works really well and easily adapting from DisplayPort to HDMI. One thing that purchases need to be aware of (and we did know this when getting the item) is that for our computer it does not send the sound to the TV. But we have used some external laptop speaker for that..
It’s really great and securely stays in the laptop..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy son has a new computer and 2 screens but only 1 HDMI port on the PC. This was and is the solution. Plugged it into a spare USB port of which there are plenty and attach the HDMI cable between the PC and the Screen and it worked straightway. Great picture. My son is well pleased. An inexpensive and simple solution for 2 screens with limited ports on the computer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis cable works exactly as expected. The length of the cable is short which is ideal for an adapter and not extending the overall size too much. Good for limited HDMI ports in your PC so you can still use HDMI cables in your monitors.

Superb adapter that does exactly what it says on the tin without issue with amazon basics branding.
strong moulded cable between sockets giving a reassuring sturdy feel no artifacts on the HDMI screen during testing from the display port of our laptops.

Please note this will not work from HDMI to Displayport it is a single directio

Tested this on a HP laptop with display port. A basic HDMI cable was connecting this adapter to a TV.

The image was showing some interference at first, but after making sure the adapter and the HDMI cable were all fully plugged the interference disappeared.

Both sound and picture were stable over a 2 hour test period.

This 24cm long adapter cable has a full sized DisplayPort plug on one and an HDMI socket at the other, connected with a flexible cable. I have used it to connect an HDMI monitor to the DisplayPort output on my graphics card. I just plugged one end in the PC and the HDMI cable leading to the monitor in the other and it worked exactly as expected, transmitting both sound and video without problem.

I have previously had problems connecting a DisplayPort output to a DVI monitor, having to buy a special active adapter that needed additional power, but this adapter just worked ‘straight from the box’.

To be sure it will work for you all you need to look out for is
1] You need a standard HDMI cable.
2] Do not try to use it to run a DisplayPort monitor from an HDMI output as this will not work.
