Recently I purchased three of these cat scratching posts, and cats love them (as do we!). Lovely colour that doesn’t pick up dirt easily. Very easy to put together. The size is great, our cats are quite large (big boned, not overweight despite what vet thinks) and these are the purrfect size for them. They are very sturdy and can take the scratching and jumping on top of them. There’s no smell off them – maybe a fresh wood smell at the start. I feel confident that they are safe for the cats to use. I would definitely purchase these again.

I bought this one as thought the cats would like to stretch a bit and I was right!
It is a bit top heavy so the first time they stretched it almost toppled over, but they have quickly worked out to put their back feet on the base to keep it steady.
I have regular moggies but they’re quite long and heavy cats. One of them is over 6kg (on a diet!) and it doesnt topple for her.
It’s put up well with the scratching and I think it’ll last maybe 9-12 months before I have to think about replacing it.
Tall ... very tall (but strong and stable too!)
We’ve had a wooden scratching post for years that has finally started coming apart, so we bought this one as a replacement, not really paying attention to the size – so were quite surprised when this large, hefty package arrived.
Opened the box and put it together and just stared at it – it’s big! But, it’s really sturdy too and we can imagine this one will last for years as well. Happy with it, now we’ve got used to it being in the room …
Strong heavy well-made scratch pos
I was delighted with the scratch post. It is strong well-made heavyweight and looks very nice as well. I was excited to receive it but very disappointed in date that my cat never looked at it and never had done and I’ve had it about a month. I would’ve liked to have sent it back but I no longer have the box. I wonder if someone would like to buy it for me, it is in as new condition, the cat hasn’t even sniffed i
Good value for money
Wouldn’t say this would stand up to a Bengal type cat, but for kittens and small cats think it is sturdy enough. Compared with another slightly more expensive one I bought, I’d say the Amazon Basic is better quality.
When you look around for scratching posts, for 40 you think it’ll be of a certain medium size. But in this case it’s very tall!!
One of my cats loves it and the other doesn’t use it. The one that doesn’t, is more of a mat scratcher. So maybe consider a scratching ‘mat’ if your cat likes ripping up carpet.
The quality of this post is very good. Easy to put together. From experience my scratching posts last about 5 years before the sisal has all been pulled out. I think this post is a worthy purchase and would last that long!
This is my cats absolute favourite thing in the world. They’ve used the old one so much I’ve had to buy them a replacement.
Also they’ve never scratched any of my furniture and I really think this sorry-looking scratching post is to thank.
Good size for our tom ca
We have two cats but need a large post for our larger tom cat. This post is the right size and is used by both cats, although it doesn’t stop them using the sofa as well. Comes with the ‘play ball’ connected to the top and also a spare which can be clipped on and off.
Easy to put together(5 mins) and well packaged.
It is very sturdy compared to others on the market and doesn’t fall over.
Extra cat toy included and he seems to like it.

Bigger than I thought but that turned out to be a good thing. Our cats stretch up it when they scratch.
There is a ball at the top they go for and then end up scratching. We’ve had those balls on our things and my husband and I made bets as to how long it would last (5 minutes and 30 seconds). It is still on there despite our male cat climbing on top and trying to get it off.
We’ve had scratching posts that they ignore but they love this.
2 contented kittens
Bought for my 2 kittens . No sooner had I set it up they were both using it. I am very pleased with my purchase. It was easy to put together and came with instructions.
This post is really tall, at least twice the size of a lot you see, so it’s suitable for even really large cats to be able to stretch right out and still use it. And it’s got a large enough base that this makes it sturdy and doesn’t fall over. One of our cats even jumps up and balances on top of it and it’s still steady.
Within 10 seconds of completing the assembly of this scratching post, our cat eagerly mauled it. (See photo taken of first scratch.)
This is very easy to assemble in only a few minutes: The base comes folded in half, so unfold, insert smaller hex bolt into bottom of base, attach lower post, insert double-threaded bolt into lower post, and screw on upper post. Job done. Cat is happy. We’re happy because he’s happy. Maybe now he will stop waking us up in the early morning hours by walking on our faces? Nah, we don’t think so either.

That’s great! I needed a replacement for the old one. I thought I paid too much but to be honest this is huge! I paid almost 14 pounds for the old one, and I was afraid to spend almost the double but it has been worth it! It’s a little expensive but it last longer!

Super size cat scratching post. It is just the right height without looking silly. Good with post which is easy to assemble. The base is also handy being wider. Cat was wary of it at first but has gone crazy with it now. Good price.

Great scratch tower, my cat uses it daily. Good height as the cat can stretch her back well.
I would suggest if you have hardwood floors to maybe put a small carpet under it as this makes it more sturdy and the tower doesn’t slide around. Cats are more likely to use it if it’s sturdy.

My cat likes a tall scratching post and it’s been difficult to find those at a decent price. I got one of these in January to replace one of her older scratching posts and was impressed with the quality and how neat it looks. It also comes in a small box instead of a huge big one. I liked it so much, I got a second one to replace her other scratching post (we always have two out, in different rooms), and I might buy a third one to keep for future use. Definitely recommend these!

It was a good sturdy scratching post which doesn’t topple over when been used. The only negative thing that I noticed was the bottom square part of the post, the four corners are very sharp edge. Please be aware of that when your cat or kitten plays.
Firstly I will say that this is an item I purchased myself and not part of the Amazon Vine program.
Moved into a new house and my cat is not only having to stay cooped up in the house but we now have no scratch post. So I decided to get this one. In the box you get the base, two tubular posts, centre fluffy disk, bolt & washer, Alan key, double-sided screw, fluffy toy and instructions.
Assembling it only took a couple of minutes and the Alan key is used just for securing the bottom post to the base. The doubled ended screw joins the two posts together, after passing through the fluffy disc. You can only screw it in so far before it stops. Not being overly tall for the size of the base, it is reasonably sturdy.
Hopefully my cat will claw up this, rather than the furniture, while being cooped up inside the house. It is way too early to say how durable it is and I appreciate you can pay a significant amount of money for these things but this is fine for my cat and I. My cat certainly likes it.
