5.0 out of 5 stars Solar water pump
Bought as a replacement for last one which lasted a year. This one lasted 2 weeks in full sun just stopped working. Very disappointed. Have to pay postage for return but now post office won’t accept it as it has a battery so I’m stuck with it to recycle
5.0 out of 5 stars great little fountai
It sits well in our recycled upturned tall pedal bin made into a fountain stand. As soon as sunlight or clear skies works lovely. The fountain worked even better when we tried it out in a deeper and larger water space, we put it in the paddling pool and it was astonishing and great fun. But it works really well in our sitting area in the garden.
Our dog loves his new toy!
I was a little worried about some of the reviews but as you can see, this fountain works perfectly in full sun. Its solar powered – of course its act according to the weather! Very happy with my purchase….. so is our dog!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money
Very easy to install. Worked from the get go and has continued to work daily (when the sun is shining) ever since. Placed it in my bird bath where it provides an attractive fountain for my garden. Have used the lowest attachment as the taller ones provide too high a water jet for that setting. Imagine the they would be effective in a small pond.
5.0 out of 5 stars Stopped working after a month
The product is exactly what we wanted and worked brilliantly for a month. Then unfortunately, as we were sitting next to it – it stopped working. We’ve taken it out of the water and checked it all and even put another nozzle on but it just won’t work. It’s really sunny here in Devon so it’s not because it’s in shade.
4.0 out of 5 stars Solar pond pump
At the moment I am unsure as I have put the fountain in the pond after keeping it indoors near a sunny window and as yet even though the weather is mixed I have not seen it working even when it has been sunny. So unsure what to do.
Keeps on going
I bought this to aid oxygenation of my wildlife pond so not bothered about spray patterns etc, though it comes with a number of different roses. I found these difficult to stay on, they usually got forced off under the pressure of the water but I just didn’t bother as I didn’t want it spraying the water over the side of the pond and emptying it. I anchored mine as it floats about in the wind until it reaches the side of the pond where it will gradually empty the pond. The pump is easy to get to and clean off weed as and when necessary, about every couple of weeks in my pond. Quite impressed and does just the job I wanted it fo
This fountain is pretty good. However, where I have it situated the wind blows and I had to wedge it in the bird Bath so the water didn’t go over the side. Needs full sun to be most effective. Mine is also under a tree so any bits in the water clog up the small holes. Would still recommend but it will need nurturing
We have this in a bucket to make a drinking fountain for a dog. He loves it. With no nozzles on it gives a great burbling drinking fountain effect. It does need quite a bright day to work well. It pulses when it’s cloudy. Well worth the money, but I might try a better one now I know the dog likes the idea.
Good fountai
This fountain does not have a filter which for me if fine as it does not get clogged up and affect the water flow. Can be quite powerful in full sun with the water getting quite high.
Still working
It’s working well, but needs a fair amount of sun. Doing it’s job. Wonder how long the top surface will last as it looks like it may require resurfacing from time to time. But overall it does the job.
Powerful Fountai
A lovely powerful solar fountain which is too powerful in full sun for my small bird bath, which I am continuously re-filling! It also comes with several fountain heads although we have found the one we like which we continuously use.
Good idea good produc
Bought to replace a cheaper one in a bird bath and what a difference, works even in low light conditions. It is used without any of the supplied jets as they do spray to the advertised height, without the jets in full sun it can still spray up to 10cm
Very good and works as it should - don't expect Trafalgar Square!
It is exactly as described. I have it in a pond and in sunny weather it squirts high and if it is overcast it pulses, although it doesn’t take much light to get to going. Actually works far better than I was expecting – if anyone thinks it will work at night or on very dark days, that is an unrealistic expectation and they will be disappointed. Clue is in the name ‘solar’! Needs cleaning out occasionally, but more at the nozzle end rather than the impellor. Ideal for what I wanted.
This is my second floating fountain, the first one having finally succumbed to lime scale after three years.
They really do work but also require a fair bit of attention. Firstly, if in a small bird bath, if the higher spray is selected, even a gentle breeze will take the water outside the bird bath and soon empty. Secondly, the fountain entraps air into the water which encourages algae which in turn blocks the filter. It is very easy to clean and I wouldn’t be without mine.
I bought this solar fountain as it was the cheapest. It has great features that I like and admire:
– There are 6 LED Fountain Lights. It provides great lighting at night. It is also decorative and illuminating. And it’s completely free! 🙂 (Solar)
– Automatically detects the water level. In other words, if the water level decreases, the pressure of the spout changes. In this way, the water does not run out while squirting the water.
The solar powered pump has a longer lifetime than previous solar pumps. And besides the fixed kit, it has 6 different water nozzles. (Frankly pretty good for the cheapest solar fountain)
It’s pretty easy to set up:
Put on your favorite cap.
Put the solar fountain in the water under the sun.
And get ready for this awesome image!
So this solar fountain is of great quality for the price of 15.59 and I would highly recommend it.
Good
I wanted an inexpensive fountain. This one does the trick. I found it slightly fiddly working out how to attach the different spray heads but got there in the end. The fountain stays on when in direct sunlight and switches off when there is not enough sun. I like i
This was replacement I bought for a similar item which stopped working after a few days. Really pleased with this one. The video shows it without any of the added attachments as I prefer the gentle babbling Brook feature rather than the spray fountain. Works great in this old repurposed dish in only a couple of cm of water.
As long as I have no problems with this I may well buy another one to put in another part of my garden.
