In Europe the construction is much different than elsewhere and we have a lot more Cement, Blocks and steel in structure and walls. I researched Mesh systems and these unit where my best option. I ordered, during a sale, 3 units. Although I wanted 4 units the vendor would only sell me one 2 unit box. So I additionally ordered a single unit to create the cover for what I need now. Seems silly as why not sell as much as you can? Setup was relatively simple and can be done by someone slightly tech savvy. Fantastic software with really all the options one could want. Cover is now throughout the house (370 sqm) and extends even about 15 meter outside in each direction. So far all in all I am very happy with the units. I will most likely run a ethernet line for the last part of cover needed and get another Asus ZenWifi Product later, most likely the XT8. I recommend this Product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOur house has thick brick walls everywhere, and so we are totally dependent on Powerline based nodes to get good WIFI coverage. In the past we relied on cheap and cheerful mainstream plug-socket type products, which were ok, but provided intermittent service and had to be used alongside a high powered gaming router to supply the work-from-home areas of the house with either a decent signal or an ethernet connection. This system really is the best of all possible worlds. The wifi signal is incredibly strong and fast – doing a much better job of going around corners and through thinner walls. Meanwhile the powerline speed is blisteringly fast compared to what we are used to. The icing on the cake is that the browser based control centre is fantastically clear and simple. I’m really happy we spent the extra money to get this system. Great stuff all around.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis system works great in our house. We’ve got an extension so our previous outer walls are indoors.

Always had problems on one side of the house. Tried Google wifi which didn’t work. Also, with some mesh systems you can’t split 2.4 and 5g so if on 2.4 and the microwave kicks in the signal goes. The choice us yours on this with either splitting the two of combining.

Plenty of versatility with this Asus solution. Can split both signals. Also have the option to use the extra 5g signal, Ethernet or powerline to backhaul the additional access point to the main router.

I have also used powerline to connect my modem to the router up in the back bedroom out of the way so have moved 2 NAS”s my 8 port switch, Phillips hue hub and weather hub off the downstairs window sill, up out of the way. Much to the delight of my other half!

Didn’t use technical support but setup was seamless no problems at all.

Using a Draytek Vigor 130 as my modem. Also have 2x CCTV cameras which, frustratingly, used to take a while to link to, now almost instantaneous connection.
Delivery was quoted at about 2 weeks but it got here within a week. So all good so far.
