Most important is the accuracy of the measurements. Makes you feel like you know what you are doing! Just the job for a ham fisted handyman! Easy to carry around than a tape measure!

What I liked about the Atolla Laser Measure, is the fact it’s small, light & easy to use. The distance of 100 m is more than enough for me, since i bought this device, it has came in quite handy. I think it represents good value for money.

I bought this laser measure because using a manual ruler was unwieldly for me to use on my own. I was surprised how easy it was to use and it appears to be accurate.

Brilliant for price with many features of top tier brands at a fraction of the price. Not sure about the drop test on site, will last a while I’m guessing no rubber housing…

Wanted to use this to measure target points at my air gun range but it will not measure over 14mts, even when the unit is pointed at and showing its laser on the target board, all it comes up with is Er.SL could be ER.5l. no mention in the instruction book or online as to what this means?

Atolla contacted me and have changed the unit for a new one, as they believe that it was a fault within the unit, very happy with their customer service a very prompt response from them.

Works like it says. Despite what other reviewers have said, mine is accurate when compared with a tape measure. Be careful to line up on the shortest distance between items and not shine the lazer on a diagonal. The measurement from the front/back option is helpful.

Rewriting review as realised my error, so when I first got this I miss understood the instructions, I was pressing button, holding button at point a and moving it to point b tracing a red line across the room, I was getting very inaccurate readings.

Yesterday a carpet fitter arrived with an almost identical model as mine on made by a manufacture that also makes very expensive cameras, first letter L 🙂

He Placed his against the back wall, pressed read button, it beeped twice he moved to next wall.

I tried the same this morning and suddenly realised my error. first beep beam hits wall second beep beam returns and reads the distance, it don’t actually return but you get my point.

I would say this is very accurate, it has a good weight and solid feel, and is almost a clone of the camera brand and yea going to be way cheaper.

works well, like the memory function which i strangely needed the first time i used it so that was useful.
lost one star because the batterys want to fly out all the time and you need the cover in place to stop them springing out, thought the first one was faulty but the second was the same. kept it as it does the job and hopefully cover will keep them in place.

I’ve used handheld laser measuring devices for work previously and this looks and works similar to others I’ve used. Have not checked accuracy but for my use a few mm + or- is not an issue. Appears good value for money compared to some.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAbsolutely Love this! I Bought it because my boyfriend refused to help me measure the bathroom, and I don’t need no man!
Its SO easy to use, accurate, lightweight.

An excellent second use: The laser for playing with cats, mine LOVE IT!!!

I even took this with me on holiday (why not) and used it on the Caledonian Sleeper (I can confirm the sleeping quarters are small, less than 3m2)

If this is something you need or want! BUY IT, Defo worth the price.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersLoved the price versus options on this and the accuracy is good enough.

The only thing I find odd is the casing which you would place up against a wall is not perfectly flat but tapers to the centre so the unit is easy to rock which naturally over distance is going to exaggerate your readings.

Why not make it perfectly flat so it’s easier to keep the beam level?

Easy to use, practical and perform like some well known European brand tool. The most important is the price is only a fraction of them. Will buy other products of this brand later.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well functioning and good price, highly recommended!

This was a great devise for those of you that have a spring loaded steel measure tape that jambs up when over-extended or flies back practically removing any fingers in its way ! Safe and very easy to use. The only draw back is .its hard to see ‘ red dot’ beyond 20 metres when measuring outside in natural or sun light, but I would still recommend it and is good value for money.

Purchased as my first laster measurer to create floorplans on a freelance basis and it works wonderfully for that. I can’t attest to its level of accuracy down to the millimetre as that’s not functionality I require, but for my purposes it’s great. One gripe I have with it is that more attention could have been paid to the design of the casing, providing more stable flat surfaces to easily knock it up against walls and assure you’re firing parallel to the ground, but even that’s a minor issue.

This is amazingly accurate. At first I kept double checking with a normal tape measure but it is within 1mm every time. Really good for internal measurements eg DIY in the house.
Has great features like adding up or subtracting measurements from each other, area and volume calculating and more.
Even has an indicator to show how strong the reflected laser signal was when received to show how accurate the measurement will be.
Really worth adding to your toolki

I did wonder whether this was going to be cheap and nasty, but it is not, it is cheap and effective, albeit with some practical reservations, as below. I started by comparing some indoor measurements with a traditional tape and found correlation to a millimetre, so no problems up to ~5m with accuracy. Did not try accuracy over longer distances. I’ve managed to measure about 15m outside, but the problem is that in the daylight, it is difficult to see where the red laser dot is shining. I’m sure that this would be a drawback with any other laser measuring device. In the dark, I was able to see the dot some 50m away and make a measurement.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI haven’t used its fancy functions for calculating volume and area but the ease of use is really what I like about this device. The dot on the wall shows exactly where you’re measuring to and doesn’t just appear when the measurement is taken, but allows you to line up level and be sure you get an accurate line. It’s as important to get that right as for the measurement itself to be accurate. Several re-takes have repeatedly returned the same measurements so it’s consistent, which leads me believe I can trust it. Very happy with it.

Some of the indirect measuring facilities are useless to me. I do love the fact that it can hold up to 20 measurements in the memory for you to refer to at anytime. Only gripe is you don’t see the display reading anything until you actually take a reading, my previous Bosch model didn’t have any memory but you were able tweek things exactly where you wanted it. But for the money it’s a good buy definitely, Sadly the accuracy didn’t hold even a week hence bought a dewalt now seems to be good as expected. Basically not for professionals

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is so easy to use!
I am about to do a refurb of my flat and struggle with angry metal tape measures always snapping back at me! I’m only 5ft so measuring alone is a challenge for me. I’ve many walls, carpets and windows etc to measure, so I thought I would cheat and buy this and I am so glad I did. I cannot believe how easy it is to use, and the accuracy is spot on.
    I cannot recommend this enough!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks fine indoors but 60m? I doubt it. Screen doesn’t have a bubble in it, I just forgot to take the protective film off. The screen is very clear and easy to read. Accurate measurements from what I can tell and good features. Very easy to use. Very cheap hency why I let the small detail of not reading 60m slide. I’ve been able to measure the whole length of my house inside which is just over 30m so I think for most people it will do the job. So far happy with it and works well considering the price. Just not quite as good as advertised hence 4 stars, but at this price point I can forgive it and it does what I need it to do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and works but not as well as advertised.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHave bought several of these. On one I found it was inaccurate for very short distances (less than 400mm). I use them to measure window panes, and many are smaller than this. The measurements were 6mm out, which caused problems for me. Hopefully just a one off. I’ll try another, but then might have to change brands if the problem persists.

Edit. I tested others, and it does seem I was just unlucky with one particular measure. I’ve bought at least ten altogether, so inaccurate devices are likely to be rare. If accuracy over small distances (less than 50cm) is important, though, I’d recommend you test accuracy against a known large (greater than 1m) and small (smaller than 30cm) distances. Supplier was very active in trying to solve my issue.

Golden Review Award: 73 From Our UsersI bought this laser measure as I’m currently making a new kitchen and the prices had come down considerably recently that i decided to give it a go.

The unit is probably half as light as a traditional 5m tape, yet they offer a much greater range.

What I was worried about was how accurate it would be. Yet as you can see in the video it is very good. Apparently, you can calibrate it but mine did not require it.

When you go to use it the laser is a nice clear red which bounces off the surfaces.

The best thing about it is the fact you don’t have to try and hook the end onto something to keep it in place. You just turn it on, point and read. Easy.

If you found my review useful please consider giving me a helpful vote and perhaps a follow for future reviews. Many thanks

5.0 out of 5 stars Suprised me with its accuracy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought to measure up for a new kitchen, made the job several hundred times quicker and easier that using a tape measure.

Point and click, point and click, etc.

Has a nice memory function and some other bits including figuring out areas and angles which I am not sure I will ever use but generally is brilliant especially when you consider the name brand versions are 40+ more.

Also, this isn’t said enough in reviews but it is great that this came WITH batteries, its too often than things don’t so is brilliant that the first thing you have to do isn’t search for some AAAs when you get a product.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersOne of those things you don’t know you need! Either cos you have never heard of it, or get by.
It’s not always practical to use a tape measure and this is so much easier.
It’s very small, lightweight and easy to use.
It can do a single/continuous measurement, distance, surfaces and volume measurement
    Goes up to 60m
It’s even water and dust-proof if you leave it outside.
It copmes with clear instructions and it’s super easy to use.
There are 2 built-in bubble levels which are necessary for precise vertical and horizontal alignment of the laser.

Negatives? Cannot comment on longevity as yet, but feels well built.

Thanks for reading and please vote helpful if I have answered your query, or you have found this helped you 😀

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to assist me in measuring up a property to create a 3D model on Sketchup. Its a simple device so 8 won’t labour any points; its clear, accurate and easy to use and was perfect for the task and a bargain at 20. However, that said, I haven’t given it top marks for two reasons 1. The ‘butt end’ or the end that you rest against the wall is not flattened off and has the same profile as the rest of the body. I would have expected this to be a flat rubber profile to keep it square on whatever you are resting it on to take a measurement. For this reason, I found it quite fiddly to keep level whilst trying to press the measure button, all in one hand. Lastly, it could really benefit from a reflector plate (small, credit card size plastic for exterior profiles) and also a case of some kind. Other than that, its a good buy.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersVery easy to use and accurate. Much more easier to measure a full room than using a tape measure. I mapped my entire room in a few minutes and managed to transfer the measurements to a room design app so I can design my new layout. The measure comes with batteries and a hand strap. It takes two AAA batteries. The battery life is excellent and so far after taking many many measurements the batteries bare still going strong. The measure has plenty of functions and settings that are all easy to use. You can take one measurement or continuous ones, set where the measure takes readings from, change units of measurement, add and subtract readings, take readings based on more than one point and measure volume. All of these can be done at a few presses of a button. Very easy to, highly accurate and more efficient than a standard measure. Top quality product.

Can’t really comment too much on the accuracy as not comparing with anything.
Seems comprehensive in terms of features and got to grips with reasonably easily without having to resort to the instructions.

For me would give it 5 stars if:
    1) The back face was flat. It has slight bevels which means that it rocks back and forth on a flat surface.
    2) The spirit levels were slightly bigger and/or had a different colour back surface so could see the bubble better.

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersGreat little device. Simple to use which is what I need, I don’t need all the extra features like others have. Requires 2 x aaa batteries but it comes with them in the box.

Hi. I haven’t received this and tracking is saying the item is lost. Any help appreciated. It can measure and display four different readings on one screen which is handy for getting the width and length, and they making a note of them.

It can also go into contestant measure mode where it will take a measurement every 0.5 seconds. I don’t think I’ll use this feature but it’s good to have in the future if I find a use for it.

Very easy to use. Measurement is very accurate, I tested it with a measuring tape and it was 100% spot on. It has two spirit levels, on on each side useful for a whole host of things; straight laser measurement, levelling surfaces, etc.

You can change the unit of measurement by holding the “unit” button down. It will change between inches, ft, cm, and mm. you can change the unit of measurement before you measure, or even after you measure and it will convert your already measures measurements.

Overall very happy. Nice and small, compact, and easy to carry. Very easy to use, and very accurate. Would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very accurate. Very easy to use. Would definitely recommend it.
