Good grinder for diy projects , only gripe I have with it is the on off switch can be a faff at times . Apart from that it has done everything I’ve needed it for so far .

Does everything you would expect from a big name brand, but was a bonus having extra discs for different uses.

Cut through a metal washing line pole, lots of sparks, lots of fun. Did what I wanted, and didn’t cost an arm or a leg

Bought this for a good price and was hoping for the best since this is my first angle grinder and I didn’t want to go crazy with money. It has all the bits you would need. I think maybe they should have added a mounting point for the hand on the top of the grinder like some others do. Also, the cutting disks that came with the grinder are RUBBISH….!!!! They were a bit too thick and were horrible at cutting block pavers/masonry. At first I thought maybe I was using it wrong and it was a grinding disk and not cutting disk…but the diagrams clearly show – CUTTING. At one point immediately after my first use the motor seemed to be overheating and burning out so I had to switch it off for a second and then re-start it. so far the overheating has not recurred but it is only 1-week old with limited use.

Great machine but description incorrect. Only one cutting disc included in box. Maybe I was unlucky? Off to the hardware shop to remedy as I need it today.

I bought this grinder to remove concrete that had been used to replace missing mortar in parts of my property walls. It has proved excellent for the job. Plenty of power and cuts through like butter. It was easy to put together and as a competitively priced product I cannot fault it at all.

Just make sure you have full PPE on and nothing flamable around, makes light work but red hot srarks go everrywhere even with shiend on. Got some snading disks as well and boy they work wonders, stripped an onld moldy garden table in minutes, spent more time cleaning myself up after!

Fantastic value. Purchased two of them to rake out a detached house for repointing and completed job with one. No issues at all and even if there were for 30 it would have been scrapped and the second one used. A wee work horse

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought to cut off the end of some flagstones. Didn’t think the stone blade would be good enough to get through the flags so I bought some diamond blades but never needed them in the end. This grinder with the included blade got through the flags as far as the guard in a couple of minutes so I could just knock the ends off with a hammer and bolster chisel. Probably more heavy duty use than this was designed for so very happy with the little thing.

Does the job, bargain price as it includes 5 discs to get you going straight out of the box.

Bought as a cheap replacement for my knackered old homebase own brand grinder. Glad I chose this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery powerful machine, please be careful when using it. It can easily amputate your fingers.
It has done the job perfectly. We have old iron balcony rail and the gate and it got rid of rust and old paint very fast. It couldn’t get into very tiny areas, so I had to use wire brush for it, but wherever it fitted, it has done an amazing job.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe tool is great and I guess that’s what you pay your money for, but the discs that come with it are awful. I needed To cut 20mm Indian stone slabs and the disc couldn’t come close. As soon as I bought a diamond disc from ts for a fiver, it cut the stone with ease

Only downside no wood blade! Had to try finding one. In the end after looking bought a universal bosch wood blade that fits but at almost half the cost of this produc

I normally used a 9 inch angle grinder. however, working in a tight spot I acquired a 4.5 grinder.

Superb, easy to assemble, comfortable to handle. Used to remove concrete base to wooden post. Ordered separate diamond cutting discs for the job.

Highly recommended, don’t know they do it at this price!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI originally bought the brand called “Chant Power” Angel Grinder but when I came to use it was Faulty and dangerous so sent back for a full refund. Avoid that one. I bought this in its place and it was better. It’s a DIY tool really but good enough for my needs. I’m not a fan of the side button but they all seem to have that around this price range. I marked 1 star down as I can’t really comment on how long this will last , but it did that job I needed it for .

This came in handy for cutting wood and metal bolts that were stuck. Also, used it for finishing a wooden project. Sanding was taking ages but this made the work much quicker and easier. Had to buy few other discs though.

This was used to cut up an old caravan that was in our garden. The only real problem is that initially you think that 5 discs is going to be enough but I ended up buying another 20 discs and also using them all.

I was only cutting the aluminium shell and the wooden “beams” within the caravan, which had already been stripped of internal fittings. I don’t think it would have been man enough to go through the running gear so a mate brought a bigger industrial type grinder over to cut through that.

I needed a grinder to cut off some bolts and pieces of metal and didn’t want to spend a fortune. I looked around and this grinder from B&D was my choice. It did everything I wanted and is so easy to use. It comes with 5 discs as well. If I was going to criticise the design I would want a third hole to take the handle on the top as well as either side. I would also want an auto cut off switch in case of accidents. This grinder has a push on and push off switch which isn’t reassuring should something go wrong.

Mine was a damaged box one (bought that one specifically), and it was missing the manual, but from other reviews, it looks like I’m not missing out on much useful info. This tool helped me get off two seized square taper cranks from two different bikes (I made a cut right between one of the sides of the square taper and one of the sides of the the square hole on the cranks.)
My first angle grinder, used it with dewalt cutting discs as those seemed the best I could find based on project farm’s tests. I’m satisfied.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI haven’t used this a lot yet – I got it to cut up some concrete foundations around a fence post that were proving to be particularly stubborn. Together with a separately purchased diamond cutting disc, it worked really well. Like a hot knife through butter.

I’ve rated it 4 stars as the power switch is too stiff. It is a slide and lock mechanism so you don’t have to keep holding the power button whilst you’re using it.
Perhaps it got concrete dust in it, or maybe mine is just a bit faulty, but it was very difficult to turn on and off – which is not ideal when you have a diamond cutting disc rotating at 10000rpm.
Not a deal breaker, but a slight negative.

On the plus side it comes with 4 metal and one stone cutting/grinding discs. It also comes with both the grinding and cutting safety shields that attach to the grinder head. The manual suggests it doesn’t – and the cutting shield needs to be purchased separately but I guess that’s just out of date.
Overall I’m happy – for 30 you can’t really go wrong.
