SOW

Seeds of many tree-species are naturally programmed to survive through winter and germinate in early spring, to maximise the duration of their first growth season you need to mimic the cold season by storing the seeds in a cold spot such as a fridge.

GROW

Once your bonsai seedlings successfully break from their seeds the first 2 leaves that develop are commonly known as “two true leaves”, (these are the most immature leaves of the seedling). When additional leaves sprout on the seedling you should reduce watering to whenever the soil’s top third in the pot dries out.

NURTURE

Without doubt the most important way to train a Bonsai is to prune it on a regular basis. There are two different techniques, maintenance pruning, to maintain and refine the existing shape of a Bonsai, and structural-pruning, which involves more rigorous pruning to give a tree its basic shape or style.

Like the way it’s all set out and easy to use only issue I had was the clear cups that go ontop on the other cup didn’t fit correctly so had to tape it to keep the cup on top but apart from that all good!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI brought this kit for myself because I wanted to grow my own bonsai trees. A good choice range of trees. Good for beginners, recommend to read the booklet (although I did not follow the cold temperatures for these) a warm dark airing cupboard instead and after 1month and some patience my black pine has finally popped through 🙂 fingers crossed the rest take Aswell. You win some you lose some it’s a trail and error as growing from seed it hard according to research I have done.
Great for beginners don’t be put off.

    5.0 out of 5 stars 100% a patience game
