Good product, seems sturdy and would appear to be waterproof although I haven’t used it in the rain yet. Long trip to Cornwall and stayed very solidly in place, does affect fuel consumption but would assume most would expect that!

We needed extra storage space for a week away in the lake district and this certainly delivered. The material was alot stronger than I thought it might be and we had heavy rain all day travelling but everything inside stayed dry. We have only 2 side rails on our roof and the bag was totally secure. I would highly recommend this product. It is a great investment for future travels just check the size you want and need.

We used this roof bag for all of our luggage for a week away (family of 5)… 5 small suitcases, pushchair, 4x camping chairs, and various other bags all fitted in comfortably.
The only slight negative were the straps used to secure the bag in place – we found these to be quite fiddly at first, and with no instructions/guidance this took us a while to get right.
All things considered this is an excellent alternative to a roof box (and costs around 400-500 less)… I’d happily recommend this product to anyone.

Used this for a recent camping trip, holds lots of stuff leaving more space in the car for people .

Held 3 xl sleeping bags, wetsuits, Camping chairs, Beach tent, Beach blankets x2, dog accessories, double inflatable mattress, pfds x2, and a bag of clothes!

We have side bars but no roof rack and this fit perfectly, secured easily and didn’t slip or move on the motorway at high speeds.

It withstood torrential rain for two hours and kept everything dry!

I was dubious about getting one but it’s a fantastic purchase and I’m glad we got it – highly recommend

Didn’t want a roof box as too bulky to store plus expensive so this seemed like a good idea.
Five of us and two dogs with of stuff freed up the car perfectly.
500 mile round trip and everything was safe and dry.
    Really pleased with it
I have a Ford focus and no roof bars so purchased a set of rachet straps just to be sure.
Honestly such a good purchase and good quality.
    Highly recommend.

Perfect for extra space, we bought it for our first camping trip and it was invaluable, would have been impossible to take everything without it. Great value for money too, much better than forking out for a roof box

I was really impressed with this roof bag, didn’t know what to expect but had to get it last minute for camping when stuck with a smaller car without any bars or rails. It didn’t move at all, even in rain and at higher speeds and it fitted loads more than expected, including a 6 man tent, 3 camping chairs a camping table, 3 camping beds and sleeping bags. Would definitely recommend but worth noting that the picture advertised makes it look more like a box, but it is a thick waterproof bag.

I bought this for a camping holiday. Firstly, I was impressed after purchase that the seller contacted me to see if I was happy with my purchase, that impressed me because it showed confidence in the product. I have to say this is a very sturdy bag, thick not flimsy and had ample space for our stuff. The straps took a bit of getting used to but it was solid as a rock on our journey. Some people commented on it as opposed to the roof box and we recommended it to anyone that asked about it. We were delighted with this roof bag and at a great price too. Would highly recommend it.

Came across these when looking for a roof box and can honestly say im so pleased i did! It was so easy to fit on vehicle (Nissan Juke) took about 10 mins, we put 2 double duvets, 2 sleeping bags, 3 throws, a big double airbed & a small suitcase, no problem, there is still so much room for more. We covered about 100 mile, with rain and this bag didn’t move at all. Only problem we had was the water was coming in off the straps because of heavy rain, however i would still Highly recommend this roof bag.

Ran out of space while on holiday and got this delivered to a nearby collection point. Came within 24hrs and was easy to use. Well made and packs away into its own bag for easy storage. Can see this being used for every holiday.

Wow. Well impressed with this roof bag. Used it for trip away down south. Took most of camping gear with no issues. Straps are multifunctional can be used to strap on to a rack or as I did around the bag and through the car. Took a while for me to trust it worried it would slide off etc. But after a check 25 mins after setting off. It had not moved at all. 400 miles later. Solid as a rock. Zips strong. Extra use was able to use it off the car at site to store items. Brilliant item would recommend .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe’ve been going to Dorset camping for the last 10 years and needed more space. As my car doesn’t have roof rails this seemed perfect – and it was! Left Scotland in terrible weather but everything was kept dry. No problem with it being securely held in place even with the high winds we experienced. However, the rubber matting never stayed in place and always managed to slip backwards underneath, no matter how tight the straps were.
It would be nice to have a speed rating for it but on motorways at a steady 70mph it never flinched.
One word of warning – it seriously reduces your fuel efficiency. I know from the previous 9 years – with a similar load and cruising at similar speeds – my car will give 700- 750 miles on a full tank (Mondeo 2lt TCDI) but I barely got 500 going and coming home so there is a substantial cost implication to consider.

This roof bag is massive. Got the 15ltr one and it will definitely be big enough for what I want. Really good tough waterproof plastic. Only concern is that the picture looks like a box but it’s a bag.

The material is strong and durable. The rubber mat protects your roof. It is extremely water proof and secure.loads if space. If you compare this to a 550 LTE roof box you are saving around 400 plus it fold away and fits in your loft I love it.

I bought this as an alternative to a rigid box and it’s so much better. There’s so much space and flexibility in packing due to it not being rigid. I used is strapped to roof bars but as long as you sure it properly as per the guide, roof bars aren’t necessary. Handled prolonged 70mph for long periods on motorways without moving at all. It is also 100% water proof! Drove back from camping in rain which didn’t stop for 4 hours and not a drop of it got inside. Fantastic but of kit and easy to put away and fold up when not needed.

This roof bag is really good, it kept my luggage dry during quite heavy rain. Although I had to buy some heavy duty suction clamps to fix it to my car as it a 2 door car. I would recommend this product. It didn’t move at all whilst driving for 50 miles on A roads.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI needed extra luggage storage in my car for moving teenagers in/out of university accommodation. I looked at roof boxes but they are so expensive & when not in use take up so much room to store. This fitted my needs perfectly. Arrived very quickly in its own storage bag roughly the size of a rucksack. The attachments for the car were really easy to fit & felt very secure. The bag itself can store a huge amount, but even if only half full is secure on the roof with the adjustable straps. Am really pleased with the bag & would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMore like a 3.5 rating.

    Good price & water tightness

Had a 460km round trip and not enough boot space so bought the 15 litre version. This size was more than enough for a saloon car and I’d be worried about how much overhang there might be with the 20 litre version (which we were considering).

    Pros:
-great low budget option (hard roof box prices much higher)
-watertightness worked very well (everything dry after rainy 230km return journey)
-space – can fit two full size suitcases (in the 15 litre version) plus more small items
-works with no roof rack (though more on this below)
-no movement or noise over the course of the journey

    Cons:
-The straps were MADDENING. I’ve used ratchet straps from years of kayaking and the straps that come with this really need to be re-threaded as you can’t pull down hard to secure tightly. Hard to explain until you try and use them but basically require extremely fiddly and time consuming securing, so leave plenty of time or else sort out in advance.
-The very rainy journey home the rain rolled down the strap into the car where it was secured above my shoulder as I drove, and it dripped onto me for the journey. Too wet and fiddly to stomach changing the set up, but we could have done if we’d known/had the patience.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBefore I start. Please change the pictures for this item! It is not a box, it is a bag!

I bought this for our camping trips. The bag Itself is very good. Made from a good strong material and is waterproof. We don’t have rails or anything on the roof so I have the straps going through the car. The straps that come with the bag are ok, I have some good quality ratchet straps at home which I use as well. I have used this bag a few times now and have had no issues at all. A brilliant buy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI used to use a roof box but I thought I’d go for a roof bag for a change. Due to it being a bag, the more awkward items like a travel cot and matress and a pushchair can easily be put in, which I struggled with when using the roof box.

The zips are good, however when it gets to the corner it struggles to get round, and it sort of looks like the zip will brake eventually.

The straps are good, a bit fiddly and I’m not sure I would trust strapping it to the roof of the car (although I am overly cautious and use a rachet strap aswell)

Its a bit awkward to use with roof bars as naturally it wants to rest on the roof. Its also a bit fiddly to get stuff in and out, with the roof box you can just open it and get what you need out, however with this you have to tighten up straps etc.

Looks like it has good waterproofing, I’ve used it once and it slightly rained and everything was dry

Used this to go camping in my very small car, fits so much in to it, my only issue is the straps it comes with aren’t that great as no way of tightening them enough. I bought a couple ratchet straps which worked really well.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI generally buy products based on reviews, I was a little dubious to begin with as most of the reviews are Vines and a little mixed but this genuinely did not disappoint and I would buy another in a heartbeat! We purchased the 20 cubic ft bag, fitted it to a Citroen picasso with no need for a roof rack (it did tie on to the pre-installed rails very easily!) we had a 4 hour 200 mile journey and on the way down we had light winds and barely felt the extra weight or any movement, and on the way back we hit a thunder storm and everything was bone dry! Again, no movement, noises nothing! Inside the bag, we had a wheelchair, 4 Aldi bags (full to the brim) a big blue ikea bag (full) , 1 full size suitcase and all of the bedding on top for 6 people and it fit like a glove with extra room. I cannot recommend this product enough and we’ll be enjoying this for plenty more adventures in the future!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this as a cheaper alternative to roof rack and box. Definitely worth it and just used it on. 250 mile round trip no issues. Forgot it was even on there. Have no roof rack so was secured with the two long straps that go inside the door.

Only issue is instructions are the clearest but it’s still very good once you get it installed.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have been hunting high and low for roof bars that will fit my Audi A4 as I dont have roof rails it has been a challenge.
Finally found some put them on and they made such a racket when driving even at low speed.
I saw this alternative roof storage, was a bit sceptical due to the mixed reviews but thought I’d give it ago.
I have to say WOW. I purchased the 20 cubic size and thought I would give it a test run.
It was so easy to fit I did it on my own.
I managed to get 4 large suitcases in it and there was a little room to spare it fitted super tight to the roof.
I then went for a test drive just to make doubly sure I did fall off or move.
I got up to 50mph and not a noise or movement.
Very very happy would definitely recommend.

Got this as a cheaper option to a proper box and happy I did. It was a bit fiddly to attach and the only niggle is that because I don’t have roof bars the strap had to go through the doors and it was rubbing my head a little at first. I then adjusted where it was attached and it was not in the way anymore. We traveled 240 miles each way and had no issues with the bag moving and all our luggage was safe and secure so it was exactly what we were looking for. Another great feature is the fact it is very compact when you pack it away.

Used the bag for the first time going camping, used it for all our bedding which had been vacuum packed and the tent.
Found no problems and it was very secure, we’re very happy with it.
Only gave it 4 stars because the instructions aren’t brilliant, I had to find a video on you tube.
