I bought one a while back for travel, then another, then another. They work better than my 200 shaver and are more comfortable. OK, they don’t last as long and battery life isn’t brilliant, but at the price they are I’ll continue to buy and use them.

I bought the shaver as a backup, and a holiday alternative to wet shaving. It’s very good for the price. Not quite as close as a wet shave but near enough. I’m happy I chose the Braun MobileShave.

We were to be away on holiday for one month and I currently use a rechargeable Braun at home so buying a Braun travel razor made sense. This was an excellent purchase and for the whole month of shaving the 2 x batteries worked perfectly. Good shave.

I had an earlier version of this many years and eventually wore out the foil. I’m so pleased that I’ve purchased a new unit.
Used mainly as a tidy up after shaving, this gives a nice close cut and reaches awkward places such as directly under your nose. It’s also great for trimming side boards.
Batteries last a long time and it’s very ergonomic in its design.
    All in all, highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf you have very little facial hair this product is basically all you need. It is sufficient to trim short stubble that grows overnight and can give a relatively close shave. Longer facial hair would have difficulty being trimmed however. It’s a rather decent size, not tiny nor too large; it trims well and is safe and easy to use. Waterproof so you can clean it under a tap; brush is included so you can clean the blades if you don’t wash it under water. It doesn’t seem to be designed with heavy usage in mind though, so people with a lot of facial hair and shave regularly should probably consider other options.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is my third one!! They lasted years.
If your shave each day this is the razor for you, I was in the Army and we couldn’t have stubble before 12 noon ( 12 o’clock shadow)
If I shaved at 4/5am by noon it looked like I hadn’t shaved so I had to nip off and use this razor…it gives a closer shave than a blade and if I use a blade I finish my face with this, smooth as a babies bum. Don’t expect to shave three days growth off with it though.
I’ve have really expensive shavers and this is better. I highly recommend it.
I do have a face like columbo so I use it twice a day to keep me looking pristine.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this shaver specifically for travel and holidays, though for this review I will compare it with my everyday shaver, which is a three-head rotary shaver with inbuilt rechargeable battery.
First off, the M90 is clearly designed for travel – it’s small and compact, with a swivelling head protector which also locks the on/off switch, a neat slide-out hair trimmer and a cleaning brush clipped into the base. My home shaver is much bulkier, has no on/off protection and the trimmer is a push-on accessory.
Now, performance – the shaving head on M90, being a single-blade reciprocating cutter, gives a slower shave than my rotary shaver, but it is smoother and closer, with no nicks, cuts or razor burn. It will do wet or dry shaving and the head can be rinsed under the tap. The home shaver scores by being faster and more manoeuverable but the end result is not quite as good.
One notable lack is a battery life indicator. I think because it accepts a variety of AA sized batteries, including alkaline and NiMH, it may not be possible to do this. In practice you have to have a spare set on hand just in case.
So there you are: it’s cheap, it’s built for travel, and it gives a close shave. I think it’s a winner.

I used to shave with Gillette Mach 3 shavers back in the day, every other day, but I decided to keep stubble for a number of years until the last 2 years I started to keep a beard…long story short tried clean shaving again for a change but started to get spots from ingrowing hair etc. With this Braun however, no spots, ingrowing hair, slight razor burn but I reckon that’s down to me not being used to clean shaved and perhaps my technique has been lost. It’s a fairly clean/close shave so it’s the best of both worlds of a shaver and a trimmer. I just have to say though the hair does grow back quicker than a clean shave but I can compromise as I get no more of the side effects I used to from clean shaving, but I look clean shaven. It also has a detailing tool, although I haven’t really tried it and from my experience, they’re usually not that great, but who knows with this one. It’s washable, according to the manufacturer. You can pop the head off and on easily for easy cleaning. It has a protective 360 swivelling cover on and does seem well built all round.

Can’t comment on the battery life as it takes AA batteries so depends on the batteries you use. Fits nicely in the hand, and looks nice but is all plastic but you can’t complain as right now it costs 16 (I bought it at 17.50). Worth it for me because even though it’s plastic, it’s a lot of bang for your buck a feels nice quality.

If you have sensitive skin and suffer from razor burns, spots, ingrowing hair, etc, I definitely recommend this to you. No cuts, or pulling hair. You do have to trim your hair short enough though before you use it as not to pull your hair

    Recommend imo.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is honestly the best shaver I have ever used. I purchased a series 3 shaver from Amazon last year and this little thing cuts better and gives me a really close shave and really honestly as close as any good wet shaver.
I cannot understand why some of the reviewers have given only one star but I think they are reviewing the wrong item because this is unbelievably good.
It is well designed and the M90 has the sideburn and mustatch trimmer whereas the M60 has not.
There is also a little brush that fits very snugly into the bottom battery cover. It does take two AA batteries which says not included but are very much included and are Duracell too.
I know these are German design but are made in China to a high standard and they are an ideal size to hold in your hand and with the batteries inserted they are just the right weight too.
The beauty of these are the foil heads and blades are easily available from that very famous auction site (eBay) and I have seen the foil heads for about 4 to 5 and the cutter blades for about the same price but you can get both in packs and no more than 8. I think that is really good and don’t let it put you off coming from China because that is where these shavers are made anyway. Obviously if you order spares from China they will take anything up to 3 weeks to get here but worth it.

I had a shave today with my series 3 shaver (triple foil) and then I had one after with this shaver (M90) and it really did get every little but of stubble right down to the skin. Yes it was slightly sore after but nothing a bit of aftershave or balm cannot sort out. I expect it was because it was such a close shave. I cannot use the rotary shavers because they make me so sore but these I can use and I am still so amazed at this shaver it is now my favourite.
Please ignore the one star reviews they really are reviewing the wrong item.

I normally wet shave but there are times when I simply don’t have time and if you need to look respectable you just can’t turn up with stubble (unless it’s “designer” and that’s not me).

I bought from a certain auction website an inexpensive electric razor but it really didn’t do the job and the rechargeable battery expired within a year so it is now in the bin. As I usually do, I researched the market thoroughly before buying. In the end I felt I couldn’t lose this was less than 20 and I opted for it over the M60 because of the trimmer function for which I am really glad. The ability just to trim the sideburns makes you look so much better groomed, even if you are overdue a trip to the barber.

So, downside. None! Upside, takes batteries so you can always stop at your nearest newsagent or convenience store and get some more. It is BRAUN so the quality is fantastic. It’s waterproof so, if you want to, you can shave in the shower (although I’m not sure this is a definite advantage) and it will not be ruined in the bathroom when you spill water onto it. The design is excellent so that the foil guard also cuts off the power swich and it cannot just turn itself on in your washbag (which my toothbrush does). There is a cute cleaning brush recessed into the base although you can just wash it under the tap. New foils are easy to come by and cheap. It takes around two minutes to have a clean-up shave where my Chinese one took nearly 10 minutes. It does not tug the hair it just cuts it without any discomfort.

BRAUN sell razors for over 200. I get as close a shave with the M90 as I do with a wet razor against the grain of my beard. My skin must be pretty sensitive as I have only just found a wet razor I can do this with, previously I had to shave with the grain to avoid shaving rash. My wife loves the result and it’s so convenient that if we are going out in the evening you can get rid of the 5 o’clock shadow in no time. I bought this thinking that if I liked it I would ask for an expensive model as a birthday present – forget it, if there is any advantage to a 200 razor (and I suppose there must be some) I amfar too content with what I have to even contemplate changing.
