I was worried that the cord would be short but it is a good length. It works really well. The timers are good and it isn’t too hot. I LOVE IT!!!!

I bought this having never used gel varnish or a heat lamp/UV lamp to cure my nails before so definitely good value for money for someone who wants to try it without breaking the bank. However, apart from a manual on what buttons to press and how to plug it in, there wasn’t any safety guidance on how long you should use it per hand. This info is easy enough to look up online for general guidance but I would have preferred some specific instruction for this lamp letting me know how long would be too long for the strength of the UV.

The countdown timers never seem to finish without the lights turning off due to the automatic shutoff when you move your hand away or too close to the lights; it feels very sensitive. However if you just pop your nails under it will light up automatically and start counting up so you can still use it easily.

I am a professional nail tech so researched my lamps carefully . These are wonderful value for money and have cured all my builder and colour gels perfectly . I did not set any timer which means that it stays on for 120 seconds which is perfect for me . Only downside I would say is that there is no on/off switch so I have to keep unplugging them each day . When you put your hand in the light comes on . If you take your hand out light goes out and the time reverts back to whatever setting you had it on . very easy to clean as the top comes off with magnets . They are robust as well as I found when I knocked one to the floor and NO damage and still worked perfectly

I have toyed with idea of having gel nail polish for some time now but was nervous of the removal process, so I decided, after much research that I would use my usual base, colour and top coats and finish with a non wipe gel top coat for curing. I settled on the Canvalite curing lamp, It was neither the cheapest nor the dearest but had so many good reviews that I went ahead. Having read horror stories I was still a little nervous, but WOW, impressed or what? It is early days but so far so good, actually, VERY impressed. Quick and easy to use I now have the high gloss finish I wanted and after a few days still no wearing off the edges of my nails. I truly can’t fault this lovely little machine and am having fun experimenting with things like peel off bases and mixing my own colours. My husband is totally bemused by my never ending excitement and enthusiasm and thinks I am now a “GEL” bore!
