It works!
Its easy to use and incredibly useful if you’re going to be away for a 24 hr period. There are two sides so I used both for wet food. One for morning feed and other set for evening feed. There’s a cool pack underneath that you can freeze before use if you want to keep the food cold. Worth the money.
Good clean reliable feede
All good easy to use. Only downside is the dial is a bit fiddly to turn but other than that this is great. Also feeds for up to 48 hours in advance with handy ice pack to keep food cool. Definitely recommend
Good automatic feede
I use these for my 2 cats. The dish is shallow enough that they can eat without it affecting their whiskers. The last one I had had a dip dish and the cats didn’t like to eat out of it. This one is much better. The only down side is not having a digital dial, it makes setting them not very accurate. But they are still good. They’re nice and compact too so don’t take up too much room. The dish comes out so is easy to clean.
Very handy
Have used this a lot and it has been very handy to feed the cats when I’m not available, I like the option of putting wet or dry food inside and haven’t come across any functionality issues.
However, I will note that if your cat is greedy and smart enough, it is possible for them to push their paw to shorten the timer for release. This can become a nuisance with no solution short of taping a cover over the timer to stop them.
1 year later review
I bought this a year ago and I put batteries in that were low on power. One year later and the thing is still going on those almost dead batteries. Admittedly we don’t use the feeder often but it always works well when we do. Remember even though the tray has 3 food slots, you can only hide away two meals so you can only actually schedule two meals but that’s perfect if you’re just going away for one night. The controls are a bit complicated but you just need to know that the time that is on the 1 slot will always open first, followed by the 2nd slot. If you set the time for 7pm and 7am and you go out at 6pm it will not open at 7pm the next day. We don’t use the freezer pad with wet food we just give the cats dry food when we use these.
Best wet feeder ever !!
Luv this, just the additional ice pack is insane, I just wish it lasted more than 24hrs for when I’m not here, I got the big 3 feeder so I expected the ice pack it to be double the size with the extra meet ill be puttn in but it’s still great for my 2 male cats when I’m away at the weekend, gives me peace of mind and that’s worth it’s weight in gold, its timed to go off at 6am and 6pm buy you can time it upto 4 times a day …takes batteries, I just put them in yest so I don’t know how long they’ll last but ive a feeln they’ll last a while, it looks beautiful and fits in perfectly to any space, even if you’re fed up watchn your cats meat dry up and go off, this instantly stops all that, nice and fresh and cool, my 2 males LOVE it, so sturdy, took me 10mns to put it together and fill it and have it set up, no lids on the 3 feeder, you actually lift the top of and fill whatever u want and place the ice pack in and out, u have to take ice pack out every 24hrs to put in freezer for an hour and replace but thats no problem upto 3 pouches would fit in each feeder space, not too heavy and very versatile to fill and carry around, luv ..luv ..LUV !!
I’ve used it several times in the last 2 years and it’s proved reliable. The cats haven’t found a way to open it early, and it does open on time – and the one power cell lasts a long time.
I haven’t tried the little clip that’s supposed to make both sides open at once.
Great produc
Easy to set up and use. The digital timer is a game changer to ensure they both open at the same time ( I bought two) so my dominant puss does not eat his gentle brother’s food. Highly recommended
Cat proof
The three bowl feeder is great. It’s digital so the cat can’t break into it. She managed to figure out the two bowl feeder, she scratched at the timer until it turned and opened. The three bowl one is easier to clean, you just take out the whole bowl part.
Really useful
Very pleased with this automatic pet feeder. Yes you can hear the ticking but I quite like that as then I know that the battery is OK. When not in use – pop the battery out – simples.
Makes life easie
Bought so I could make sure my kitten had his meals when I was at the office, or out with friends. He’s taken to it quite well, and it’s easy to assemble and clean. I love that it comes with an ice pack to keep wet food chilled/cool.

This item is perfect for feeding your cat at times you can’t be there for short periods . Like me working awkward shifts. It has a ice pack that fits under the food tray so helps to keep the food fresh. And is very reliable so far. Also it is good value compared to similar items
works perfectly
This is a great cat feeder. We use it for short weekends away, and it works just as we had hoped. In the ideal world, we would like one that has more compartments and can be set for more than 48hrs so we could stretch it to 3/4 days. I like the clockwork timers as I feel that they are more reliable and easier to set than electronic ones.
Can sleep now
The cat used to wake up the household at 5 am in the morning to be fed. Now he gets his late night and morning meals delivered by this marvellous gadget, and I get all of my zzz’s.
Big Boys Breakfas
I have three large Maine Coon troublemakers that have appetites comparable to very hungry dogs. Instead of placing them in kennels for New Year’s Eve, I opted for a more considerate approach to avoid their potential unhappiness and the havoc they might wreak in an unfamiliar environment.
I purchased two of these special feeders, in addition to the Cat-Mate circular feeders. These proved to be a great solution, allowing me to set them for 48 hours, unlike the circular feeders that only last 12 hours. The feeders worked perfectly, and my boys were content, enjoying their meals at their usual times. It seemed like they didn’t even notice our absence overnight!
I am a cat sitter and have added these to my repertoire as a service for my clients. I loan them to my clients so they can save money on physical visits while still ensuring their cat is fed. So far they have worked perfectly and always opened as programmed. They are also very very easy to use and set.
That it works.
Couldn’t get it to open so had to return and order another one from another company as needed over Christmas period. This one worked and was cheaper. Excellent Amazon delivery.
Use for my diabetic cats meals
Worth every penny, I use it for my diabetic cat as she has to be fed at specific times of the day and analogue timers are not as accurate. Easy to set up

I thought stainless steel dishes came with the catmate, so I would consider ordering some. Apart from that I am very satisfied with my catmate. My granddaughter bought one for me last year so now I have two. This is very handy if I’m away overnight.
Does the job
No real negatives it does what it says it will do. My cat attempted to get into each compartment as she could smell the food but thankfully didn’t manage it although the item got pushed around a bit in the process.
Great for cheap basic feeders
They’re strong, the timers work OK, you can remove the bowls and put in dishwasher. There are freezer packs to keep cool in Summer. The cats seemed happy – they didn’t lynch us after we returned home long after brekkie time, after a night away! So we have our freedom back for short breaks in their routine
Excellent cat feeder that has an option to set one time per 24hr period, or 2 times per day, giving you and your cat a variety of options.
Fairly easy to set up once you get the hang of it. The only gripe is that because it does sit a bit higher off the floor due to the ice pack, then my cat has had a bit of difficulty in reaching the far corners of the feeder to retrieve wet food from.

EDIT: Not made for large cats with long whiskers! The bowls are too deep and he refuses to use it (and it would cause “whisker stress/fatigue” if he did.
Contrary to other reviews, I found this very easy to set up (particularly, I guess, if you’re used to setting digital timers). Disappointed that it only comes with the one rotating bowl and one ice pack. I have ordered spares, but – again – disappointed that they don’t, apparently, offer the choice of the stainless steel rotating bowl for the 3-meal feeder (only the single, double, or 5-meal feeders ). This is why I’ve knocked two stars off the ‘easy to clean’ rating.
This has been an absolute godsend and has meant I’ve not needed to get a cat sitter just for a night away which honestly pays for itself. I had to get two because I’ve got two cats, and the three meal slots really mean I’ve only got two meals covered but it buys me time and means I know the cats are fed and when. They do eat from it and they’ve learnt what the sound is. /Sometimes/ they pick the food out of the tray and eat it outside, but I think that depends on the toughness of the food because it’s quite a small deep tray. But it works perfectly and as advertised and the cats haven’t been able to get into it (yet, fingers crossed!). This was well worth the money and has given me so much freedom it’s appreciated.
Super easy to use, good size bowl as I was having trouble finding an automatic feeder that wouldn’t cause whisker fatigue. Pity it only comes with one ice pack and you need the stainless steel inserts for cleanliness and it’s better for the cat to eat from.
No more meowing
I use this everyday for my fur baby. This has made my life in the mornings so much easier because she now knows there’s food inside and will wait downstairs for it to open rather than waking me up, especially on my days off. Sound is not loud but she got used to it very quickly. It’s amazing. Definitely worth the money. Plenty of space for wet or dry food, and the ice pack keeps her food cool and fresh.
Weekend feeding
This cat feeder is very good went away for the weekend and worked well. I did have my daughter calling in to check on my cat but she said the cat was eating fine. No worries next weekend away.
Timer works well
The timer function is great, and my cat got on well with it. However the ice pack compartment is tiny, so rather than bothering with it, I’d suggest that you chill/ freeze the food prior to filling instead.
Simple and effective
Works as expected! Easy to use. Quiet, sounds like a small clock. Seems fairly durable but I wouldn’t want to drop it. The lids open nicely.
Great for when I need to go out.
I have an elderly cat who needs to be fed little and often, including during the night! Those 3am feeds were starting to bite me so I had to try this bowl! It is a very well made bowl, larger than I thought and very sturdy. It was easy to set up and is easy to keep clean. Kitty was very suspicious at first but I fed her using the open section at every meal the first day. She didn’t eat the timed meal the first attempt. I decided to use the timer during the day on day two and she ate those. The second 3 am feed she ate everything. Now I know that I have 2 timed meals available so if I wanted to go out I could! The mini ice pack keeps the food fresh even though it’s been really warm lately. Honestly I don’t know what I would do now without it! Well worth it. It has a low battery indicator so I don’t have to worry about it and it’s easy to reset the timers if I need to. All in all a great purchase!

OK FOR THE MONEY
Manual dial means timings are not precise, but near enough. If you have hard floors invest in a rubber mat otherwise your cat may scoot it all round the room!
We have a six bowl feeder which suffers with flies getting in: this is better and the individual bowls are easier to clean. Mechanical timers are a bit course and it needs an on/off switch rather than having to keep taking the battery out to stop it. Otherwise would get 5 stars.
Simple and effective
So far so good. The timers are simple 48 hour clockwork, so operation couldn’t be simpler, just close the lid and rotate the dial. Being simple to operate means it’s easy for friends to be shown how to use it when we’re away on holiday. There’s none of the hassle of LED displays and multiple buttons
Amazing find!
This is such a great product, especially when I have to go to work. I use it for my kittens wet food so they can be fed when I’m in the office. The little ice pack keeps it fresh and the trays are large enough to fit more than a packet in at a time. A must have for pet owners.
The Cats Like I
This cat feeder is simple and works well. I have an older version which has lasted 30+ years and this one has a similar build quality. I got it to supplement the other feeder as we have two young cats. I have used it four times and so far is reliable and opens up on time.
Great cat feede
This is a great product, when you are away for a few hours. The timer can be set for up to 48hrs, providing 2 separate meals. Very pleased with the purchase, as is my kitten.
I purchased this for my cat as we stayed away overnight. I recommend that you do a few trial runs whilst you are home before you use it for the first time to allow your pet to familiarise itself with the feeder. My cat has no issues and is happy using it. The plastic containers are easy to remove and clean and the ice box is a nice extra. The only thing I would change is that I would make the time dial digital so that it is more precise. You have to calculate how many hours from the present time you want to feeder to open and it’s not always exact using the dial. But other than that it is perfect.
We have had this cat bowl for a few weeks now. We recently acquired a cat and he doesn’t really like other people so its been difficult to go away.
I have used this device twice for wet food when we have gone away. It seems to keep the food nice and fresh when you use the ice pack.
The time allows you to set an opening time anything up to 48 hours later. It works without any particular problem and is easy to use (just adjust the dial for the amount of hours you want it to delay opening for). You can set a different timer for each bowl which has been a godsend for overnight trips
The height of the bowl is perfect for our average sized cat, it comes with feet if you want to prop it up higher. The only thing i would say is the individual cat bowls are not made of the thickest plastic but they seem durable enough for what they are.
Overall i would say i am very impressed with this product. I would recommend it to anyone who needs an automatic cat feeder. We have used this specifically for when we are away as opposed to daily feed but i’m sure that would work fine to.
Given there are many more expensive models on the market i think this product is good value for money and does everything we need it to.
Product as described and works fine. Nice and simple to use. Picked it up with the lid not closed properly and the whole lid detached but it was easy to click back into place. Nice and easy to wash trays.
Only downside is that the timer (a basic clock mechanism) keeps running so that if you put it in a drawer and don’t use it for a few days the lids pop open inside the drawer which can make it awkward to get out! Could do with an off switch rather than having to keep taking the batteries out.
good value but wish there was an off switch
These work fairly well, although as the timing is done through turning a knob, it’s not super accurate so not really possible to time it so that two go off at the same time for two cats. Also there is no off switch so once the battery is in it won’t stop ticking unless you take it out – which is quite annoying. But it’s not particularly expensive so I’ve given four rather than three stars.
What I’d really like is a feeder that both used microchips and timer, so I can feed my two cats on a timer without worrying the greedy one will eat everything
