I recently purchased the Alpine ClearTone High Fidelity Ear Plugs for noise reduction and was extremely pleased with the results. These ear plugs are great for concerts, work, travel and studying. The noise reduction is amazing at 21dB and the three different sizes (S, M, L) provide ultimate comfort. I was also pleasantly surprised that these ear plugs are reusable. I would highly recommend these ear plugs for anyone looking to reduce noise and protect their hearing.

So far this product seems to be helpful throughout my day! I have 4 kids ranging from 1 1/2 to 16…the youngest ones enjoy screaming for absolutely no reason. I dont want it to bother me and i want then to enjoy themselves, but unfortunately I get overwhelmed with lots of high pitched sounds and this has helped me to keep my cool during the times when the house is hectic. My only dislike is I can’t tell if I’m talking loudly or not and it sounds funny but not the fault of the company or product, just something I have to get used to.

Gutes Produkt.

I used these when we were sitting second row at a concert & they worked perfectly! I could still hear the music at a reasonable volume. I may have put them in slightly wrong because they became a little uncomfortable after awhile. The little carrying case is the perfect size to put in a wallet or pocket. Overall, I absolutely love these!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersIdk if it’s the ADHD or just general sensitivity but sometimes I have days where I just cannot focus or tune out things around. Sometimes I also just get overwhelmed or really agitated by too many things happening at once (TV on plus multiple conversations, plus radio, etc). These don’t necessarily help me concentrate one on in particular, but they do help dull things overall when it’s making me feel agitated and irritable. They’re also useful for events like concerts where the music is just excessively loud. I don’t use these all the time, but I keep them on my keyring and for the times I do need them I’m super grateful to have them easily accessible.

ClearTone Noise Reducing Ear Plugs are an excellent choice for individuals who are sensitive to loud noise, such as your son. The earplugs have a noise attenuation rating of 21dB, which means they can reduce the intensity of sound by up to 21 decibels. This level of noise reduction is perfect for concerts, music events, travelling, work, or other activities that involve loud noises.

The earplugs are made of soft, reusable material that is comfortable to wear for extended periods. They are available in S/M/L sizes, ensuring a perfect fit for different ear canal sizes. This feature makes the earplugs a great option for your son as he can choose the size that fits him best and experience superior noise cancellation.

Additionally, the ClearTone Noise Reducing Ear Plugs are easy to use and maintain. They come with a carrying case that allows your son to store them safely and hygienically. He can also clean them with ease and reuse them several times, which makes them an environmentally friendly option.

Overall, ClearTone Noise Reducing Ear Plugs are a great purchase for anyone who wants to protect their ears from loud noises. With their high attenuation rating, comfortable material, and customizable sizes, your son can experience the benefits of noise cancellation without feeling uncomfortable.

The 1 negative is the small travel case does not allow for a spare set of the ear plugs, my son will use them most but it would be good to be able to carry a 2nd size so someone else could use them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve recently been diagnosed with hearing loss and I blame gigs…. well, not the gigs, just my own blaz attitude towards my own health. I wish I’d had these when I was younger. Been to a couple of gigs and nights out since getting these and they really make a difference. I can still hear everything ok, and when people are yelling over the music right in my ear hole, I no longer wince. Afterwards, when I get out of the gig or club, my ears are no longer ringing and aching.

I like that they have different sizes as I always need a small set. They’re easy enough to put in and take out. Nice and soft and don’t irritate my ears. And they come with a case so I can’t lose them. Overall really happy and will be recommending these to all of my younger relatives just as much as I tell them to look after their skin – look after your ears! Once your hearing has gone, it’s gone!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersVery comfortable and one can barely remember they’re there but the noise cancellation can use some improvement. I wore them to a concert last night, at standing floor level and at certain points through the concert, I was hearing/experiencing something similar to static feedback through the product and that went away when I removed one of the pieces from my ear. Other than that, they were good.

These ear plugs do the job well. They reduce loud noises to a more manageable level.

The plugs are well made. The fit in the ear comfortably and securely.

Given there’s not a lot to them, value for money isn’t the best, but if it helps you get through a lud event that otherwise would have been unbearable then maybe they’re worth it.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI bought these to protect my hearing during motorcycle rides. Alpine sells motorcycle specific earplugs but I liked that this set had multiple sizes. They work great! My ears no longer feel like they’re ringing after a ride. I can still hear the engine rumble but the tone isn’t harmful. I have to be careful now because I tend to not realize my speed since the wind noise is cut down so much and my rpm’s sound much lower. One thing to keep in mind! I knocked off one star because they can be a little hard to remove. There should be a longer tail to grab but otherwise it works great!

It’s difficult for makers of this kind of ear-defending buds – they need to be effective enough but, if you’re going to wear them at gigs (like me) you don’t want to lose musical fidelity or have uneven blocking of different frequencies. I’ve got other buds that block more noise, but flatten the sound, damping the top end too much. First indications are that these don’t do that (although they also seem to block slightly less too). Good to have a variety of sizes for the plug itself (S, M and L) and a natty little case to put them in, so you can take them out on the way home from the gig without coating them in pocket fluff. Nice touch.

Alpine have been making trusted hearing protection for some time. This is a nicely presented set, comprising a pair of filters with three different sized tips and a carry pouch.
These filters offer 21db of hearing protection when fitted correctly. To give you a rough idea of protection, it’s worth noting that decibels are measured on a logarithmic scale, meaning perceived loudness doubles roughly every 10 decibels.
These filters are comfortable to wear. I have smaller ear canals and the smaller buds are great for me. These tips ARE NOT made of silicone, which may be useful to know if you have an allergy.
They come with their own carry pod, which does the job and I think they’re great value at around 20. I’ve purchased Alpine in the past and wouldn’t hesitate to buy these again.

If you are looking for some earplugs to help reduce most noise but still allow you to have a conversation, these work pretty well.

They come nicely packaged in 3 different sizes as well as a carry case. The small, medium and large are nice to have as it means they are likely to fit, no matter what size ears you have. The carry case is also very handy as it allows you to easily take them with you without fear of them getting lost or damaged.

The earplugs themselves are very comfortable and you can hardly tell you are wearing them. The material is very soft and extremely light. They do a great job of reducing noise allowing you to get work done however you can still hear people which allows you to have a conversation although it is still muffled.

    Overall, I would recommend.

These noise reducing in ear plugs are terrific. They fit well and they are comfortable and perform really well. In the box fitted in the tray you will find three ear plugs in three sizes, small, medium and large. One pair, the medium size will have the mesh filters fitted. These two filters can be removed and transposed into another size fitting. I tried the medium size but these didn’t feel quite right and they jutted out a bit. So I changed the filters and put them onto the small size noise reducing earplugs. They fit great although if you do get a bit over zealous and push them in too far, it takes a bit of doing to get them out. So just be careful and don’t push them with force. Just turn them as you lightly push into the ear. You might get the impression that they aren’t keeping much noise out, especially when you have a pack of dogs around you, but believe me it’s less noise getting into the ear canal than you think. You get a small box to put the ear plugs in. They are to me a tad expensive, but they do perform excellently, so I can’t really complain about paying just short of 23. There is a 25% discount at the moment so that’s a decent price after all. Four stars.

Ideal if you are new to wearing ear protection at concerts and/or clubs and want to enjoy the sound without it being muffled. The 3 different sizes in this pack means a comfortable and suitable fit will be found. Other products are often sold with just a single pair in a certain size and if the size is incorrect, then another purchase in an alternative size will be required. Not likely here when it includes small, medium, and large pairs.

Totally suitable too for those used to wearing products like this and require a replacement pair. Over the years I have used different brands of ear protection where the design is similar. These feel really comfortable.

A great product for those who can be sensitivity to sound levels and/or for those just wanting a bit more peace and quiet from their surrounding environment.

The filters come fitted to the medium ear pieces. Only one pair of filters is included and I don’t think they can be separately bought. Complete packs will need to be purchased if kitting out more than one person.

A folded sheet containing clear instructions, diagrams, and information is included. On it is a QR code which goes to the Alpine website and a web page which contains a video, the instructions and a FAQ section.

A compact storage case is included.

The packaging seems to be totally recyclable.

I well thought out and produced product. Do protect your hearing and enjoy sounds for many more years to come.

First time I’ve tried noise reducing ear plugs and it’s a shame I didn’t have something like this when I was younger and regularly visiting clubs and concerts. Firstly, the fit is very good and it’s nice that there are several sizes as I have very small ear canals and usually have difficulty with finding good fit ear-plugs or ear-buds but the small size these come with fit snuggly and don’t give any discomfort. They come in a nice little case for keeping them clean and safe when not in use and from testing them so far they do actually work in reducing loud noises whilst allowing you to still hear what’s going on around you. So far I’ve been testing them mainly whilst using power tools as we’re doing a lot of renovations to the house but I’m also looking forward to trying them out on some upcoming flights.

These ear plugs to a great job reducing the sound. Whether you want to use it at live music gigs, or a night club, or any activity where the sound is so loud that you’re worried about damaging your hearing.
They come in a nice carry case, and I foudn medium size fitted just fine.
Note that whilst they work, they don’t completely block out all the noise, and in fact you can still hear people talking to you, just much less loudly, which I think is a really good thing.
Overall, assuming this is fairly priced, then no hesistation recommending this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered these as an alternative to Loop earbuds because the earbud tips looked far better and like they’d actually stay in my ears.

I struggle with sensory issues and people are loud and irritating and painful nonstop, these really help with not screaming at people to shut up in public.

The tips dont irritate me either which is nice because most silicone tips slowly slide out of my ears then pop out and down the nearest drain in a 10 mile radius. These don’t which makes them wearable!

The small tips were perfect for my right ear, but my left ear is smaller then my right, so one is slightly uncomfortable, but it’s dealable.

Worth the money if you’re a musician, someone with tinnitus, or someone with severe sensory issues who usually hates leaving the house because people are incapable of not making noise every second of every day.

These made it so my world is more peaceful. 100% worth it.

  27. FreddyThomas says:

These are fantastic! So comfortable, they cut out just the right amount of noise to give your head a little space. If you’re like me then occasionally the ‘hustle and bustle’ just gets a little too much and far too distracting – especially if you’re trying to do something that requires concentration.

You don’t always want 100% silence, that some ear plugs provide – You still want to be ‘in the room’ – just not in such a noisy room. Well, these are what you’re looking for.

I find that places like cafs and some restaurants have removed pretty much all soft-furnishings, and therefore the sound has nothing to be absorbed by. This is my fix now.

They’re easy to fit, pretty much invisible when inserted and come with enough of a stalk to easily grab and remove when needed. The three sizes are varied enough to make them worthwhile and the cute little carry case is perfect to have with you at all times. They’re also extremely comfortable, especially when inserting or removing them. They don’t seem to suffer from the ‘I’m going to suck your brain out’ suction issued some other earplugs have you go to remove them.

They are brilliant little peace enablers and are worth each and every penny!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’m really impressed with the fit and comfort of these ear plugs. I have a very small ear canal and struggle to find plugs that don’t just pop out again or feel like there’s an uncomfortable level of pressure in my ear. With other brands I’ve found even the smallest sizes to be too big, but with this set I’ve got an incredibly comfortable fit that has only been paralleled by my very expensive moulded earplugs for performing. These will be a brilliant pair for going to gigs where I don’t want to risk losing my custom ones. I would describe the reduction as medium – still a good level of clarity when wearing.

I had a pair of Etymotic ear plugs that I used for a number of years on noisy club nights and live music events, but unfortunately when I moved house, they got packed away somewhere and were never seen again, so when I had the chance to review these attenuating plugs from Alpine, I was really pleased.

These Cleartone plugs from Alpine are basically designed to turn down the volume of loud noises entering your ears by approximately 19 to 21 decibels. Unlike cheap foam plugs that muffle sounds and can give you a kind of isolated feeling, these ones still let you hear the complete range of sounds, including people talking etc, just at a lower volume that helps to protect your ears.

In the pack you receive 3 pairs of differently sized ear plugs (small, medium and large), so that you can choose the size that best fits into your ear canal and provides the greatest seal, without feeling uncomfortable.
The plugs are made from Alpines own Thermoshape material, which is extremely soft and comfortable to wear. It looks a little like silicone, but they are in fact silicone free and hypoallergenic to avoid any allergic reactions.
The design of the product is the pretty common cone shape, but with this product the short stem has a removable mesh filter that pushes inside it to reduce the volume.

    ***** In The Box *****

    3 x Pairs Ear Plugs
    1 x Pair Mesh Filters
    1 x Storage Case
    1 x Userguide

    ***** Conclusion *****

I have used ear defenders from the very well respected Alpine brand, so I kind of knew that this would be a decent product and after using them, I have not been disappointed.

The plugs themselves are extremely comfortable (even more so than my old Etymotic ones, as they had a hard plastic stem that protruded from the ear). I really like the compact size and discrete look that they have and most importantly of course, is that they do turn the volume down as they are supposed to, whilst still letting you hear music, voices and other sounds clearly.

I also like the handy storage case that is included, as this keep the plugs nice safe and clean. The case can also be placed onto a key ring.

I think the current asking price of 22.95 is a very reasonable price to pay for helping to protect your ears from Tinnitus, which is extremely annoying but even better value for money with the current 25% discount voucher making them around 17.
Definitely a product I would have no problem recommending.

They block out sound well but I could still hear my alarm when it went off. They are a good balance between blocking and letting in sound.
I really like that these come in their own small carry case which keeps them from getting lost as well as helping to keep them clean. (On that note they are also really easy to clean. I take out the supports and then rinse them with water and soap)

I have noise cancelling headphones which are great for listening to music through, but they’re a bit eerie when wearing them without music; we’re just not used to hearing nothing. I don’t pretend to fully understand the science behind these ClearTone earplugs, but they are useful in loud situations such as concerts.

Unlike most earplugs these don’t block sound from entering the ear, rather they attenuate it – that is they reduce the force of it, not by muffling the whole sound range but by ‘taking the edge off’ which sometimes is all you need for a more enjoyable experience. Three different sizes of plug means you should be able to find the right size fairly easily. The filters and plugs look easy to wash and dry so they shouldn’t get gunked up.

My husband likes to watch and take pictures of planes (please don’t judge!) and some of the engines, particularly on fighter planes, are noisy enough to make your bones rattle. He has mild tinnitus so some sounds are sometimes uncomfortable for him. He’s tried various earplugs and finds them uncomfortable and they block too much sound. These seem ideal for him, and they’ll get a decent test next week at RAF Lakenheath – US fighter jets are particularly noisy!

Definitely worth a punt if you are regularly in noisy situations at work or play.

As a sufferer from tinnitus for years I can’t stress enough how important it is to look after your ears.

If you’re a musician or go to gigs every weekend then you owe it to yourself to grab a pair of these earbuds.

I have been massively impressed by this set from it’s premium looking packaging down the look and feel of the buds themselves.

I love that these come with a carrying case and a solid one at that. Perfect for travelling.

The buds themselves are also incredibly comfortable and very versatile with several different sizes which let you get the perfect fit.

Once properly fitted you can instantly feel/hear the difference they make, dulling those sharp high notes and bringing the general volume down to bearable levels.

Again, it can’t be overstated how important this is if you’re in a loud environment for an extended period of time. These will save your hearing and your sanity!

A lovely set of buds that I am looking forward to getting good use out of. 5*!

So I’ve used Alpine earplugs for years in rehearsal rooms and performing in live settings. I’ve never been given anything free or been sponsored by them but for me personally, they are a brand who specialises very well in the products they make. Nothing could quite give me the noise reduction without taking away frequencies I need to hear.

And they do not fail here either..
It’s a reduced noise but clear and balanced overall. Words are clear and pronounced, there’s probably a little more reduction in the highs and mids compared to the upper lows but the balance is very nice. At least for me personally. I do have slight tinnitus and I can only hear down to 20hz (barely hear it but I can) in frequencies around 125, 1200, 4000. We’re all different but every other standard frequency test points I can hear to 15hz. Again, barely but the lowest any of my headphones go is 10hz.

Highs and mids in a live environment have some awful peaks anyway and will protect you from bad mixes or bad FOH/artist sound so it’s quite obvious that you’d want these more reduced than others anyway. But as I say, the sound is still clear enough to hear people talk better with enough distinction for it to not be as noticeable until you pull the plugs out.

I’ve been a bit more sensitive to daily outdoor noise so these come in handy in places other than clubs and loud environments.

Overall, for 22.95, a very good price for piece of mind, future you. Protect your hearing, it may not look cool or whatever but tinnitus is way more annoying that it sounds.. For those looking for a nice bit of reduction in volume with clarity, these are great! I genuinely can recommend these to you.

Ideal for use in concerts, clubs or travel when you want to lower the overall noise levels while still being able to hear everything.
Wearing these to gigs or on nights out at a club means you can come out without the head in a bucket feeling prolonged loud noise causes and it just dampens the sound a little when people shout down your ear at parties.

There are 3 sizes of plug supplied, you try medium first as this should fit most ears, then you can pop the filter out and swap it into small or large easily if you need to.

Good quality fit well and stay in place.
