I’m a total convert to these. Spent decades with d’addario 10s but have since moved over to these for a more balanced feel across the neck, a brighter tone, and strings that I don’t have to change as frequently. No, I’m not a shill for the company, I just like the strings. Other brands are available.
I haven’t tried these before but decided to give them a go.
They went onto a relatively bright LP classic with bigsby and stock 61 pickups.
They mellowed the top end a little but still sound clear.
Bedded in quickly, with minimal stretching.
I’ll certainly be keeping a few of these on hand for the future.
I can’t speak to the tuning stability claims as this went onto a bigsby equipped guitar and thats always hit and miss!
I can’t really tell if they do last thaaat much longer than other strings, they certainly feel nice enough for quite some time. Would recommend for sure though.
I always buy these strings for all my electric guitars and they are great strings. Worth the money.
The sound is clear and bright, and they’ve held up really well so far. I’ve been playing with them for a couple of weeks now, and they haven’t shown signs of wear or dullness.
One thing I particularly like about these strings is the gauge. They’re just the right thickness for my playing style – not too thin that they feel flimsy, but not too thick that they’re hard to press down. They feel comfortable under my fingers, and I can play for long periods without feeling fatigued.
I’m a terrible guitarist. However these strings were a good replacement and sound great. It’s just that I don’t. Was really happy to see they came in the top four in a large test by a leading YouTube guitarist.
I’ve been using these strings since they came out. They are a bit more expensive, but they last longer than normal strings and are very consistent. I believe these are the best strings out there and that’s why I’ve been using them for so long.
I always hated changing stringsIt took a while for them to stabilise and stay in tune and they always felt uncomfortable until played in..then I was recommended NYXLs. These are the most fantastic strings available todayOne stretch and they stay in tune and straight away they feel comfortable to play. Great tone and feel and long lasting. Worth every penny.

These are awesome sounding strings , they seem to last for ages, they feel good as well . No string breakages yet either, I used the nines and tens sets. Little bit expensive but worth it. Definitely buying these again.
My partner ordered these as he wanted to try them after getting so many recommendations to try them. He seems happy with them (which is good as he is extremely fussy!)
The NYXL strings work really well. Personally I prefer the 0942 gauge in my MIM tele – 1046 strings muffled the twang and turned the tone to a generic single coil, so I went back to 0942. 1046 work nicely with humbuckers IMO.
Balanced tone. They last a long time and don’t oxidate quickly. They hold there tune really well. Over all great set of strings. I normally use elexirs, but I’ll use these more ofte
These are without a doubt the best set of strings I’ve used, whether using them on tour or at home, I’ve never had a string break compared to Ernie Ball ones which I used to use all the time, even when the tension is high from constant tuning. The sound is piano quality right from the start and the brightness doesn’t fade like some other brands do. I have yet to try the XT series of strings but I don’t think I’ll have the need to as these have lasted me 2 years on the same guitars with constant high tempo playing on a weekly basis.
Bought these for a floyd rose guitar to try and avoid restringing so regularly. So far they have been on over 3 months and are still in perfect tune. I say perfect, I accidentally tuned it slightly sharp and am still waiting for the tuning to drop into perfect, they’re holding tune that well. Used almost daily for hard rock / metal and wiped down after each session. Occasional string lube. Brilliant strings highly recommended and will be buying again if these ever need replacing!
These are the best strings money can buy. Yes they might be a bit more expensive but the quality and tone of the strings really shines through and they last for ages and do not degrade and “rust” like other strings do. I can play with one set for up to 6 months of weekly practices with no noticeable issues and they always stay in tune. I don’t buy any other strings now!
Maybe you’re a guitar nerd, maybe you’re just a casual player, but here’s something we can all appreciate: these strings stay in tune better than cheaper ones, they really do! You know when you first put strings on and they’re all over the place for the first day or two? I didn’t really get that with these, they pretty much just stayed in tune as if they’d been on for weeks.
As for sound, I’d say they’re a noticeable improvement over standard priced strings. How much you appreciate this will come down to how interested you are in tone, etc, but it’s good to know you can get a bit of extra quality for the money if you want it.
Regarding durability… Well, I’ve only had them on a week, and I’m obviously not going to try and break them just so I can review how strong they are, but I’ve got no complaints so far.
Overall I’m surprised and impressed.
