5.0 out of 5 stars This is grea
been looking for something to organise and charge the Oculus as each time the kids get the notion to play its out of charge and by the time its charged they are onto something else. this dock works very well. battery life on controllers is fine and last a couple of hours but i find that’s a fine duration as a couple of hours with the headset on is enough. its now always ready to go and is played more than ever. Really happy with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic bit of kit!
It looks great and works great. The reviews on here moaning about the batteries for the controllers are wrong, like some people have stated before myself, after a day or two of charging they perform well, my daughter’s average VR session on Gorilla Tag is two hours and they are usually at 40% by the end of the session, whereas the headset is dead! I bought at a promotional price of about 25 but if I had paid 45 I would still be very happy! Give the batteries a day or two to get up to capacity and you will not need to pay for others as these are adequate.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly
Came very quickly and works perfectly. I was concerned at the start as the main head set wasn’t charging but that was because i hadn’t added the Dongle, but once i did it charged it. I was also worried about the hand controllers not charging as the light would go off but when i checked them later they had gone from 20% to 80% charge, so the light didn’t need to stay on constantly for it to charge them, so i was very happy. All in all i would highly recommend it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great once you replace the stock rechargeable batteries.
As people in other reviews have mentioned, it’s worth replacing the rechargeable AAA’s in the controller grips, it’s a small screw and clip holding it all together. They charge fully now with new good quality rechargeable batteries.
I think it can be rather hit and miss with this companies charging docks, I had the original one for the first quest and had about three in the space of a week because none of them worked haha, but I seem to have been sent an actual fully functioning one this time for the quest 2, yay for me I guess eh? Anyway, worth a shout for the price, and you can always return/replace if yours doesn’t work.
First one was from the Warehouse and was missing the battery covers…..replaced with a new one.
Lovely bit of kit that looks impressive and keeps it all in one place…..but swap the batteries!
You need to unplug the USB dongle from the stand (where your nose piece would sit) and plug into the USB-C socket at the side of the headset…….it took me ages to work out where the dongle was as there’s very few instructions included. Press the button on the front of the stand and a motor opens the headset holder for you to place it in.
The rechargeable controller batteries were a pain, as every time you put them on charge they would flash for a few seconds as if charging and then stop. Someone mentioned swapping the AAA battery inside them, and they are great once you do that – a single small philips screw holds the battery in place. Just unscrew and swap the battery with a different AAA battery (I used a Tronic rechargeable battery from ALDI)………since then, they have been fab!
Overall good, terrible batteries
as a package its great, i wish they would have just provided the housing for the AAA batteries as the included batteries were rubbish, and hold no charge. It takes one screw and you can replace with rechargeable batteries of your choice and its golden.
The dongle is on the top!!
For 35 this is probably the best dock I’ve come across.
Works great, motorised headset receiver has you feeling like iron man after a long day of saving lives.
The charging dongle is on top of the dock, it fits in so we’ll it made me think I was kissing the piece I needed. But looks like a lot of others have had the same issues.
Rechargeable battery packs don’t last as long as the AA’s that came with it but they will last a couple of days no problem.
Looks great, works great and costs next to nothing
Incredible product for the price!
I recently purchased this VR headset charger/dock and I am extremely impressed! It is the perfect solution for keeping my headset charged and ready to use at all times. The design is super sleek, and the quality feels amazing. The charging dock is very easy to use, simply place your headset on the dock and it will start charging. The built-in LED light is a nice touch, indicating when the headset is fully charged. The VR headset fits securely and snugly in the dock, and I love that I no longer have to deal with tangled cords. Overall, I highly recommend this VR headset charger/dock to anyone looking for a convenient and efficient way to keep their headset charged and ready for use. Five stars!
Almost perfec
For the value it’s pretty damn good, my only gripe is the device is secured by an elastic cover meaning it can move a bit but im overall happy with it.
This is a good high quality case however if you are new to vr and want to purchase a new headstrap for your quest then this case will more than likely not be for you (trust me you will want to purchase a new headstrap)
Set and forge
Charges up the headset and controllers perfectly, using a trickle charge method that will not overheat the batteries.
The design is pleasant to look at and very functional, it also does not take up much desk space.
The headset part is its only weakness, the headset has to be sat in exactly the right place to charge, the device does clamp onto the headset with a touch of the button but the force is very weak and its easy to knock the headset in passing and having moved it a mm or two, it will now no longer charge and in fact discharges. The charging light for the headset is on the side, so not easy to see, if it were moved to the front, as the charger ones are, it would be more clear if the headset was charging or not.
The above is a minor niggle at most, its a fantastic device.
Great looking product perfect for what I needed
Really pleased with this dock, it actually looks better in the flesh than it did in the pictures. Had read a lot of reviews on here before choosing and thought this one looked different and more sturdy than some of the others.
On receiving it, it has a nice clean compact design and was very simple to set up. Just added the battery packs to the controllers, plugged in the dock and it was ready to use.
Had the dock a couple of weeks so far and it has been perfect. Definitely made the right choice
Received the product the very next day after placed order. Amazon delivery has done another great job. Amazon, Respect!
I like the product immediately unbox. The design is simple, compact and clean. Looks better than the picture online. Every quest user would want a proper place to charge and store the headset when it is not in use or in charging. This dock just provide such a handy solution.
To charge the headset can’t easier. It’s a real drop and charge design without the trouble and hassle to find the cable and plug to the port or match the connect etc. The cradle automatically close when it felt the weight of the quest and start charging. To take out after charge, a simple sense touch the cradle will open automatically, very “metaverse” futurist feeling. Dock comes with world adaptor, very well considered for user.
Two Rechargeable batteries comes with the dock, easy to slot into the quest controller. I start using them out of box straight without even charging, till now almost 10 hours, it still working fine. Amazing!
All in all. This product is great value for money. Probably the best dock of its kind . Strongly recommend for all quest user.
I love this docking solution – very smart and functional for charging and storing the Quest and controllers.
The product has a neat way of receiving the Quest Headset by opening and closing on the device when placed in the cradle – no plugging or aligning power sockets as need with the other products that I researched. The controllers easily plug into the dock and charge up quickly to give way more charge than needed – I think the Quest device gives about 2.5hrs of use, and the controllers last a much longer time. When I’m not using the Quest and controllers, I store them in this dock and everything is charged when I use it next time. I’ve read some reviews referencing questioning the level of charge on the controllers – I know that his is a common issue with rechargeable batteries where they can give inconsistent readings on devices designed for standard non-rechargeable batteries — anyhow. this product it gives about 10-12hrs, which would never be needed as the headset only has 2.5hrs of battery available.
Highly recommend.
This was a gift for my dad but it doesn’t seem to charge controllers beyond 30% for left controller and 40% for the right. Going to give it a chance and see if it settles down but currently just seems to turn off the the purple lights second after putting them in. I wonder if it is because it’s a AAA battery not an AA.
Edit: adding a star as to put the controller thing into perspective normal AA batteries last for many days even a month or more of normal usage according to various reports, so the batteries in this being put back into the dock each day aren’t going to run out, was just confusing seeing them report low when fully charged, however it also seems after a day or so the quest adjusted and showed the controllers at 100%, will monitor situation.
