Had this for a good few months now and am really happy with it. The adjustability means it’s comfortable to use whatevers your height and the blades last for ages.

I have used the strimmer just once and it does what is required. The one downside is it is on the heavy side so could only be held for short periods. Battery is also heavy which adds to the weight.

The battery (sold separately) lasts ages, the strimmer itself is easy to use and lightweight. The blades are strong enough for edging lawns and cuttting back small weeds, but do not expect it to cope with heavy stuff like brambles.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPros:- Light in weight, well made, easy to use and does the job very effectively.

Cons:- need to be careful not to hit rotating blade on hard objects as it will be damaged, unlike the corded makes where are you able to feed out more cord.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this to replace a long serving Bosch strimmer that finally gave up the ghost. I’ve only recently come across the Einhell range due to aquiring a couple of their power tools. Love the fact that all their tools have the interchangeable battery feature meaning one battery for all devices. Be aware-this does NOT come with a battery and you would need to buy separate of you don’t have an Einhell/Ozoto system already.
Intial thoughts on this was that it felt a bit cheap on the plastic casing front, but maybe I was just comparing it to a much more expensive product. Love the fact that it comes complete with a good amount of spare blades and has a great little storage compartment on the handle (I was always loosing the Bosch blades).
First use seems very impressive. A pretty quiet motor and it strimmed through grass and light weeds very easily and is pretty powerful. I imagine the power would depend on the size of battery you use , I have the 18v which works well. The blades are also flexible so unlike the Bosch equivalent that were solid plastic, I imagine they’ll last a bit longer after hitting walls/stones etc.
Looks to be a good purchase and at good value, especially if you already have the battery and charger.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived partially and incorrectly assembled in a torn box. However, a read of the instructions soon rectified this. I already had batteries and a charger (for use with my rotavator). As remarked elsewhere, it is quite heavy, but also very effective. The flower guard makes it ideal for dealing with weeds between my raised beds. Tackles strong and stubborn weeds. I have found the blades remarkably durable. (After a couple of demanding sessions, I am still using the original blade.) The vibrations during usage causes the spare blade container to flip open, so I have resorted to keeping a couple of spares in my pocket. All in all, a big improvement on the old fiddly wire-based system.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this for my Dad to help him get around the garden easily, instead using his current Bosch wired strimmer.
It’s lightweight without the battery but it’ll add weight depending on the battery used for it, we currently have 2.5 & 4.0Ah batteries.
It’s great to cut around grass and weeded areas that are a pain to get around with a wired strimmer, given that this uses plastic cutters for the strimmer, we found it better than the wire you had to buy for our wired strimmer. The cutters itself worked well too as they are stronger than wire but just be aware that cutting something a bit more tougher or catching it on a stick or even a lifted area (a drain cover in our case), it could shorten the cutter slightly but it’ll still cut well, you get 20 with this strimmer regardless.

It’s adjustable too, you can shorten the length or expand it, it also had a metal guide on it that’ll help from hitting any areas that could damage the cutter or it can be used to even your garden, especially the edges. The handle can also be adjusted, you can have it at the front, the side or the back so there’s plenty of ways to have a good handle on it.

All in all, I’m happy with it and so is my Dad, money well spent.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOrdered the Einhell strimmer, handles well, chomps through even thick stem weeds if you don’t try to cut in one swipe. Would highly recommend so, my girlfriend has just ordered one for her garden. Battery charges quickly and lasts at least 40mins, was probably more than after having done my garden and half my GF’s garden before I had to charge again.

Typical of German engineering great tool easy to assemble and use. put it to use virtually as soon as I put it together. Using a cutting blade is much better than a wire. Blades can be replaced when needed in a moment with no hassle.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersWell I was looking to buy a petrol strimmer as always fancied one and liked the idea of no wires.
However I was put off in the end by the price of fuel in the UK and having to go and fill up a can at the petrol station.

So after three days of researching I decided on this wireless one and went for the deal with two batteries.

First time use. My friends two foot high grass in her medium sized back garden. I charged up both batteries as I was sure I would need them both. I was also concerned that the strimmer would not be up to the job and struggle. Should I have gone for an automatic line fed one instead. I also wandered before starting if I should have gone petrol after all.

What can I say. This little strimmer was fantastic. Did it all on one battery, just and apart from having to replace the red plastic blade once, due to hitting a concrete fence post a few times. It was fantastic.

Cut the grass down to about six inches all over the garden. Could have gone shorter, but that’s fine for the petrol grass cutter. Really am happy with this purchase.

Also the handle has a tray full of replacement blades for ease of reach. Happy and can’t wait to use it in my own garden.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBought to replace a cabled strimmer that was getting a bit dangerous to use as I kept strimming the power cable and exposing the wires. My fault, not a fault with the strimmer. Anyway as I have an Einhell drill from the power xchange range it made sense to get a strimmer that could use the same batteries. It was a doddle to put together and has done the task required of it, namely edging the lawn and cutting the grass under bushes and hedges. The ability to angle the head is extremely useful and the telescopic handle means that it can be adjusted to suit different users and also shortened for storage.

All in all I am happy with this product. It suits my requirements and whilst there are probably better performing makes and models out there I think this is great value for money.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe help look after the grass cutting etc at our local cemetary ang originally had a petrol strimmer but it was far too bulky and heavy for our needs so purchase one of these instead.

Loved it so much that we purchased two more. They are great little stri.mers and would reccomend them to everyone.

One word of advice though. When it comes to buying new blades don’t be fooled into buying cheap alternatives as you will be wanting your money. Stick to the genuine replacements.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our Usershis is a good strimmer and part of the large range of tools compatible with the battery system.
it’s lightweight but the weight is biased towards the cutting end as that’s where the motor is.
a strap would have been useful just to help holding it for long periods.
the plastic strips (which do the cutting) last a good while if you’re cutting grass – but anything harder than grass and they soon wear out.
overall, recommended – especially for light duty such as strimming grass

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersIt assembles easily, light enough for an octogenarian to use, as long as you take care in the way you use it. Obviously the buyers who used all their plastic strips quickly did not read the instructions (although I realise most people think you do that as a last resort). The wire ‘flower guide’ is there to stop you damaging your plants by distancing the cutter from the object. By pulling the wire guide out further than the cutter tip you will find they last a lot longer. Simples! Dooh!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWas nearly put off by the reviews mentioning the strimming blades coming off during use. Can only think that they hadn’t been properly located on the spindle, as I havnt had one come off yet (although they are a bit stiff to pull on fully). Felt a bit underpowered at first, maybe because it was so quiet. I tested it out on a patch of knee-high overgrown field grass, and it did the job in the same time as my Makita mains powered strimmer. Battery life very good as well.

It provided us with a comparatively low-cost method of putting a lightweight and very easy-to-uses strimmer into my wife’s hands, leaving me to do the hefty trimming with a 46cc MDT petrol machine.

This was only low-cost coz we already had two batteries c/o the Einhell lawn-mower we had previously purchased.

I also bought an Einhell 5.25″ battery powered angle-grinder, so I can now cut metal or stone comparatlively easily almost anywhere, without having to trail cables all over the place. Also very reasonably priced thanks to my already having the batteries.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersDidn’t want a cable, or to go for petrol. Have invested in set of einhell interchangable batteries and begun accumulating their cordless products. Past strimmers has the wire type blades which I’ve never got on with. This has easy to clip on plastic blades which do the business without fuss and last pretty well. The model has a built in pouch in the handle for spares. Adjustable for height and angle, I found set up easy and position comfortable. I get a seriously good 45 minutes of constant strimming on a single charge of the larger battery. The weight of the motor is quite heavy, but there are also solid metal parts which is reassuring. Operating noise is reasonable and a fraction of the petrol equivalent. Pleased with the purchase.
