This is the best basking light for my viv, which is 4 feet. It heats nicely to the right temperature and gives pleasant and uniform light to all enclosure. Even though other brands give the same temperature range the light is focused to a small spot.

Good bulb and was being used as brooder lamp for chick’s. Managed 2 clutches of eggs before breaking/burning out through the night. Unfortunately I’m 12 days out the return/replacement window and have 2 weeks old chick’s with no heat source for nighttime (never mind the clutch incubating at the moment) . So will have to order a new one and hope it lasts longer than 42 days .

I put this in my tortoise table 30th September though it was lovely and hot and my lad basked all day under it. Just switched it on this morning the 17th October and it flickered on then died.. I’ll order another as I like to give companies the benefit of the doubt..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBulb blown one day after return date. Bought 26th Jan bulb blown 26th Feb!!!! Four weeks it’s really poor, and I have no way of contacting the supplier. Surely it should last longer than that!

This is a very underrated heat bulb!
This is probably the 6th one I’ve had over about 2 years and I’ve never had a problem with it.
There are better options if your willing to pay, but for the price this bulb seems to keep my tortoise very hot and happy.
People who say it pops when they put it in may be using the wrong fitting as I’ve never had this happen to me.
As you can see in the pic I don’t have a reflector over my bulb, but I would highly recommend buying one, the bulb isn’t as hot as some other 100w bulbs I’ve had in the past (the expensive ones) so I need to lower the bulb, I imaging having a reflector would help direct some of that lost heat downward, but I can’t afford one, may have to try making one with tinfoil and see if that makes a difference.
Anyway, good bulb for the money, last one lasted 4 month, one before was about 6 month.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good bulb for the price
