Metal Scan Detection
Wall detector can locate metal studs in Stud Scan mode, Deep Scan mode, and Metal Scan Modes. Since stud finders are looking for a change in density behind drywall, not a particular material, in Stud Scan and Deep Scan Modes the detector will react to metal studs the same as it would for wooden studs.
After you detect the center of an object. Please Use Metal Scan Mode to determine if the previous reading in the Stud scan was a wood stud, metal stud, or pipe.
Stud Mode
This stud mode has three depth stud scanning chooses. The deepest scan mode scans up to a maximum depth of 1.5 inches (38 mm).
Deep Scan mode is a sensitive scanning mode that should be used when there are additional layers for wall panels and panels. To minimize false alarms or other objects behind the wall that may not be studs. Always start scanning at a resolution of 0.5 inches(12.7 mm).
Second 1 inch(25.4 mm). The last use of 1.5 inches(38 mm) scanning mode.
Wire Warning Detection
Wire Warning detection indicates the presence of live, unshielded electrical wiring up to 2 inches (51 mm) deep. For Safety, in all modes, this wall scanner always detects and indicates the Live AC Wire
Note: Wire Warning Detection works in both Stud Scan / Deep Scan / Metal Scan
Modes. The Wire Warning Detection Icon will flash when live, unshielded wires are detected.

This is a great little gadget. Just put it on the wall, press the calibrate button and away you go. I found every stud I wanted, it found nails and AC power, A must have gadget for the DIY’er.

Does what I hoped
Hi,
I’ve had trouble with detectors in the past and gave up on them. I’ve a few projects on so I thought id try this as the cost is comparatively low, and send it back if no good.

Bargain produc
Cheap and very useful. Didn’t want to spend a fortune as I’m an occasional DIYer but this product did exactly what I wanted out of it. Had to press the calibrate button five times to pinpoint exactly where the AC cables were in the wall and manged to hang my floating IKEA shelves no problem afterward – definitely will use again.

Package arrived swiftly so we could use it straight away. It works well and detected pipes and cables in the walls which we wanted to avoid when hanging pictures and mirrors.

Why pay more - this does the job really well
Use this to help trace the existing fixed wiring throughout my house. It works pretty much as well as much more expensive devices, you just need to calibrate it before each use. May not be quite as convenient to use as expensive professional devices but its just as accurate.
Finds nails in wood
Bought it to help find nails in used wood stock prior to putting through a planer/tablesaw. It detects small staples on the other side of 2×4 so does everything I need.
I have been using this for over a week now and am very happy with the way it works. Love all the different settings and knowing that it will let me drill with safety.
For the price you can’t complain. I’ve used it to spot hidden cables mostly for putting up shelves – I turned on sockets and lights as it seemed to make it work better.
Follow the instructions (one hand on the wall whilst holding the device) and recalibrate it to make it more accurate as you move around the wall. I found that I would recalibrate it several times to make it more and more accurate to add a bit more certainty to the process (as it says in the instructions).

Useful to find studs and AC cables, found to be a little sensitive when looking for AC cables however once recalibrated on a different part of the wall works ok. Good value for the price.

I bought it to locate the stud for my ceiling light fitting. It’s my first time DIY and I found the product is easy to operate. And it was able to locate the stud accurately. I would recommend this product.

Make sure you read the instructions, very easy and straightforward to use and more or less self explanatory, just moved into a new flat so needed to find out where things were before I start my jobs

Product was dispatched quickly and arrived next day. Good instructions and easy to use. I was wanting to identify studs and wires for putting up shelving. The wall is a stud wall with the fuse box mounted on other side so wanted to check out wires and mount on the studs.

I collected it today and I have used it already and it’s so simple to use which is what I needed. It it accurate which is a relief and it is at a good price.
Precise
Used it to locate studs and AC, seemed pretty precise — it was sensitive to even a 1mm movement. The direction hint was quite useful. Device itself might be a bit confusing but the manual was very in detail.
First time using stud finder, therefore no data for comparing other products. However, It is really easy to use. Very surprised how many cables around my flat. Most of the home deco ideas has been altered, therefore :’)
Used it to detect stud partitions in wall. Easy to follow instructions and easy to calibrate. A choice of stud thicknesses and materials including metal rebar and A/C wiring can be detected if required. Pinpointed centre of studding after several passes. Can be a bit temperamental and needs to be scanned with a slow and steady pass, it then works fine.
