These are ideal for a Henry or any of his cousins. I did buy a washable felt bag, but TBH it’s just too much faffing about cleaning it and washing it every time. It’s easier to just change the bag and these are pretty mess-free. I’m a bit concerned about non-biodegradable stuff going into landfill, so I cut them open and put the bags into the compost and then burn the plastic waste when the compost is done.

Exceptionally good value, these original equipment vacuum bags for Henry and his family are half the price as offered by other retailers. There are 10 in this pack, watch out for others promoting 5 bag products for similar money.
Definitely recommended and would buy again.

I love my Henry Hoover, compact but powerful. And these bags certainly live up to that description too. Changed regularly, and the difference is instantly noticeable. From near to no suction because of a full bag, to more than enough with a fresh one!

Replaced the original Henry bag once used, nice it clicks as fitted on to the inside and the handy cover to keep the dirt in the bag once full and removed.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersLike so many duped customers 2 decades ago I bought into Dyson on recommendations of my then girlfriend who in later years mentioned it broke down. Later still I discovered she tended to use the thin & narrow nozzle attachment almost all the time. (Well no wonder why she said suction was good because she hardly used the floor tool ! Also no wonder the machine broke down eventually.

I never used my first Dyson DC08 like that until a decade later after we moved house and had a moden logs & coal multifuel fire stove installed. After shovelling the bulk of ash into a steel bucket vacuum & nozzle is used to clean up the tight corners and the spills outside of the stove. Cleaning of the stove proved Dyson ito be rubbish for the task. On average I had to empty DC08 every second day. If the dust canister didn’t totally fill up, then the hepa filter would have been clogged by 2nd or 3rd day maximum. Worse was the emptying creates clouds of dust so I had to use mask and safety glasses ! So much for being suckered by Dyson marketing hype before the days I retrained as health & safety advisor.

Heard of a Henry over 3 decades ago but never seen one until one of the workmen renovating said house used one to clean after his work each evening. His matter of fact comments, regards no problem and only had to change out the bag, no messing with filters etc. gave me confidence to eventually buy a Henry.

Before that I even tried a Dyson with an intermediate ash can vacuuming atttachment – i.e. plug the can to Dyson’s hose and use the can’s hose to clean the fire stove. What a mess and still the dust clouds to face upon emptying.

Happy to report used the Henry for 10 years no problems. For those 10 years I used a felt re-useable bag and put the Henry bag inside that to use double bagged arrangement. No ash ever leaked out into the atmosphere. Have been cleaning the fire stove without the second (felt) bag only to find Henry’s throw-away bags used on their own also do not leak ash into atmosphere.

Henry must have changed manufacturing process or facility judging by some reviewers complaining one side of their box of bags all had one side not sealed. So typical of suppliers trying to cut costs by cutting QA/QC (quality assurance / control). I have not be so unlucky but I have matched a new bag from ones bought 10 eyars ago to find these ones about 5mm shorter on one side and the plastic catch was green colour now red (and price doubled of course). Henry, if you implement proper QA/QC procedure I would raise the score back to 5 stars.

Still, I can fully recommend a Henry. One bag used to last 2 months of fire stove cleaning. Now without the felt outer bag I reckon one of these Henry bags would last 3 months or whole winter of stove cleaning.
