I was looking for a good set of Sockets and I was looking at all my options and decided to buy this set. The set is very good value and the case is also well made, All in all I think I made the right choice.

I bought this to be a basic set for a specific job, which I have not yet done.
I have tested the set threading three holes of different sizes in aluminium and that went well.

Needed to increase the thread length on some existing bolts in 8.8 grade steel. Worked really well and cut the threads perfectly, aligning with the existing thread and pitch.

Bought this to tap to Tap 60+ Threads in to40 x 40 V-slot aluminum and had no problems at all. I only used the M5 Tap in this set and a bit of cutting fluid and it worked like a charm. By the end of it, the Tap was still sharp and had plenty of life left in it. For soft metals this is perfec

Reasonable quality, although not too happy with the grip between the handle and the tap as it kept coming loose. Got the job done OK though.

I have tapped two holes in aluminium and it worked. The second hole was noticeably harder to tap and it seems that the tool got a bit blunt. I’m not sure it would survive tapping in steel.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI needed to create a tapped hole in an old bolt whose head had sheared as the shank had rusted in solid. I watched several vids on line on how to do it before I started. drilling a hole in the old bolt was hard and I think I oversized it because the correct sized tap went in very easily and only formed a few intermittent groves so a new bolt would not hold. I got some screwed rod of correct size and screwed it in with some resin anchor, left for 24 hours, tightened up with a nut and cut off the excess rod. I am putting problem down to me, not the ki
