his keyboard is amazing with a very short actuation point which is very good for gaming but can be frustrating for general use. But the one major issue I have with this keyboard is that three is no real easy way to get a keyboard program/software to fully customize the RGB which I love and is so good and the actuation point which is not ideal for casual typing as even the slightest taps can lead to a mistake. The switches I have are amazing (gateron blacks) but I’ve also tried the yellows and I like them a lot as well. overall it’s a great keyboard and if you’re into gaming I do recommend i

Have had this keyboard for two years now and it’s great, especially for modding, being a plain GK61 style 60% means there are lots of things for customization, has standard cherry mx profile switches, usbc and standard clip-on stabilizer holes. there is software making lighting and macros easy but its not needed as it has its keyboard commands and lots of lighting options.

My problems were when taking it apart for deep cleaning the screws are soft metal so they have stripped and without the software its a bit of a pain to set it up

TL:DR great for price and modding

A Amazing base keyboard for modding

I use this for gaming all the time. It feels incredibly smooth and clean. The LED lights are also really smooth and the keyboard overall is pretty easy to use and figure out. My only complaint is that the instructions are somewhat unclear but apart from that very easy to use and overall a pretty good product.

i use this keyboard for regular gaming – you can tell it feels like a budget board but for general gaming and not a high budget would deffinetly reccomend.

I love my keyboard, blue switches don’t sound great, loudness is good but just not a very satisfying click sound, space bar isn’t that good for clicks. I do recommend this as a first keyboard to get you started 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived quickly less than 24 hours. Really enjoyed the typing experience, the button still works as an A key but ‘a’ key cap is missing there’s also no replacement keys.

Would be great if I could get the key sent out.

Missing an A key but great typing experience

The stabilisers in this keyboard are absolutely terrible – super rattle-y any and in general just wildly unpleasant, however otherwise this keyboard is a great form factor for easy portability between computers. if you build a lot of PCs or work around them a lot this is a cheap and handy option for carrying between systems. If you’re gaming, I recommend looking elsewhere, possibly at brands such as Epomaker, or building your own – your keyboard is one of the most important tools in your life so get a good one!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersCurrently writing this on my GK61 with silver switches which I have used for about a month now, the keeb is great, mine came pre lubed and sounds alright stock. The main issue I have is the tacky software, which feels like a very unexperienced person put up in 10 minutes. Its extremly buggy, and I found it was difficult to manuever. Other than that, the layout may be difficult to adapt to, as it uses an American ISO Layout.

Everything is great... except the software

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersKeyboard was amazing! Was trying out a pre-built to see how it was (after not using a pre-built for a good few years), and the gk61 was surprisingly good! 100% reccomened to anyone who wants to try out pre-builds or just anyone who is looking for the best keyboard apart from a few, and the price for this keyboard i’d personally say is way under!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this keyboard for the purpose of modding it, replacing the switches and keycaps etc. I ordered the silent brown switches even though I was going to replace them with jelly blacks. The silent browns had a good tactility however were very scratchy and not my personal liking. However, the quality and build of the board and PCB itself is excellent and was perfect for my needs since I was replacing the switches anyway. I paid 60 on offer for this keyboard and for that price it was 100% worth it. The RGB LEDs are bright and the software is ok but if you’re looking for a keyboard to mod this is the one for you!

Great quality keyboard, perfect for custom build, not fan of silent brown switches

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt’s a really nice keyboard, especially if you are new to mechanical keyboards, I recommend getting a set of keycaps like I did, the stock ones aren’t as good as some other ones you can get, overall great keyboard

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis Keyboard Is Very Good Gor The Price It Is Okay And It Is Good At Typing And Gaming, The Switches Feel Good And Smooth, This Keyboard Is Not Height Adjustable But Angle They Give Is Good And Isn’t Annoying But This Could Be Different To Other People. My Biggest Problem Is That The RGB Software Is Terrible And Not Good At All It Is Very Basic And For The Price You Are Paying This Is Something Basic You Would Expect So Do Not Buy This. Instead Buy A GK61 From The Brand Epomaker Skyloong As It Is The Same Keyboard But With Good RGB Software And Quite Literally The Same Keyboard As This One But Just With Different Switches (Maybe)
And Better RGB Software And That Keyboard Can Be Found On Their Website Or Amazon. This Keyboard Would Have Been Better If It Had Better RGB Software Or If It Had A Lower Price.

Bought for my 11 year old to use in conjunction with his Xbox. It is perfect, good size and very hard wearing considering how vigorously the keys are used! According to him it’s easy to use and set up. It was a good buy and reasonable price!

perfect size for gaming, lots of features for rbg customization to suit your preferences. the keys are clicky but not too loud and feels really satisfying to use. perfect for gaming. can’t get any better for the price

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI love this keyboard, it feels awesome to type on and has suck a satisfying feel/sound. I also love the colour and design, it was practically the only 60% mechanical keeb I could find that was in purple, to go with my setup

HOWEVER, one word of warning – it’s a US layout. No sign key and the @ symbol is Shift+2, not Shift+’. Honestly though, for me this isn’t that much of a big deal. It actually still inputs as a sign even when I press Shift+3, and I’m kind of used to the swapped @ placement due to using Macs throughout my life. There is no # key anywhere so that may be an issue for some. I also had to play around in the HK gaming keyboard software to get the Up arrow to only input as / so that I could still type a question mark. Not a huge deal though and I just swapped Up to Right Shift in the software – it’s next to it anyway

As my first mechanical keyboard I am genuinely over the moon with it – the quality is great. There’s a tiny bit of metal ringing sound when you type (especially using the spacebar) but I don’t mind this. The RGB lighting is nice and has a good amount of different settings/colours to choose from. I would honestly rate 5 stars if I had actually received a UK layout, but consider my rating a 4.5.

Amazing keyboard but not UK layou

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersReally nice keeb especially for first time custom keeb users. 60% is a lovely size for more mouse freedom. Hot swappable so you can easily change the keycaps and switches. Usb C is on the left hand side of the keeb which can be annoying if you don’t have a long cable and your pc is on your right . Rgb is nice and easy to install the software or you can change the rgb on the keyboard pressing two buttons can’t remember which though. Overall great value for money

I got the yellow mechanical switches and I love them! Overall this keyboard is very good for the price. Only downside is that the space bar has a very bad rattle and sound, need to mod to fix.

Besides the software for RGB being a little hit and miss, it’s a really good keyboard and highly recommend! I got the yellow switches and believe me you really feel the difference!
    Top Quality!

Just been a day since I’ve been using it, but its an amazing product! Response time for a click is very high and the RGB lights work flawlessly. Would recommend the red one for anyone interested in gaming!
Update – been using this for over a year now. Still working flawlessly. Performs the same way as it was when I bought it. 10/10 recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis keyboard is a really good option for a budget 60%. The optical gateron switches feel great (I got blacks) and the stabs are alright but the spacebar rattles a bit. It has plenty of good preset lighting modes and the rgb is really bright. You can also download a lighting software but I ended up not using it as the presets were better. I also customized it with custom keycaps (last pictures) and I plan to foam mod it and lube the switches.
I have had this keyboard for about 5 months and it still works perfectly with no problems at all. I would really recommend this to anyone.

    perfect keyboard for a budge

This keyboard is brilliant for the price and the red switches sound really nice. The keys stabilizers are also really good its just the spacebar that needs a little improvement otherwise the keyboard is great.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLike the fact that it is a 60% keyboard so it fits comfortably on the desk without any issue. However, the software is quite complex to operate compared to other brand such as: Corsair and Logitech. Also, the keyboard does give some rattle noises. In conclusion, I would give it an overall rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery high quality keyboard for the price. I got mine with the gateron reds and the feeling is amazing. The size of they keyboard gets some getting used to. Mainly missing the arrow keys but makes up for the quality and feel and the space it frees up. Only downside now it’s a US layout but I’m sure I gat get some keys for a UK keyboard somewhere

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersReceived this pretty soon with prime and first impressions were positive; I like the switches a lot, despite them being a lot more sensitive than I’m used to and the caps feel ok. What got me though was the US layout, because I’d read that people said the laout was UK ISO layout and was obviously putting my money on it being something more familiar. It was not.
    Lovely keyboard though!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThis is a fantastic keyboard for the price. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, but as I have an AMD system and therefore the Razer Huntsman Mini breaks my computer, I had to look at other options for a 60% keyboard. This one came highly recommended and I can see why – it feels so good to type on and the RGB lighting is quite customisable even without the software installed. I would definitely recommend the silver switches as they are butter smooth with just the right amount of actuation force. The best part is that even if you don’t like the switches that come preinstalled, they are fully modular so you can pull them out and install ones that you prefer. The one thing I will criticise is the cable it comes with is rather short at 1.6 meters, so I had to use one of my own. That being said, it connects via USB type C so having the option to use your own cable is a boon all of its own. If you’re in the market for a 60% you could certainly do worse than one of these guys.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersGreat first day impressions. There’s no flex or squeaking to the frame, and you get a decent length braided cable. The optional software is tricky, but I managed to get a fully custom layout eventually. Go to the ‘Driver1’ tab and there’s a green cursor button somewhere on the colour palette. You can then click individual keys to apply that colour.

4.0 out of 5 stars As nice as it is weird
