Bought to replace the original which had been accidentally damaged.
This version was of a slightly different design (control handle in a different position) and did not feel as sturdy as the origina, but it does the job.
Will wait to see how long it lasts.
I convinced myself to buy a pair of cheap spray guns thinking they couldn’t be that bad. But they were terrible and leaked badly from the start. I eventually threw them away. I’ve bought Hozelock in the past and never has a moment’s trouble (but don’t let them freeze).
I have in the past bought unbranded and cheaper branded versions of these. It’s like throwing your money away. I have tried cheap metal versions and they always fail when springs break or rust seizes them.
So I always look for pricier Hozelock products on special offer just like these.
They seem to withstand UV, a fair bit of bashing about and quite large variations in temperature. Crucially the click fit joints are excellent and don’t leak or pop out like the poor imitations. Word of warning !!!
Drain your system down and make sure there is no moisture in it anywhere before the first frost. Frost and freezing will ruin most of the fittings and appliances.
Otherwise excellent product worth the asking price.
Been through a few cheap chinese models. They dont last. This was worth paying the extra for…. Easier to use, more features, better water control. Hopefully will last longer.. time will tell
Excellent 5-star product. The goods arrived before the allotted time and were well packaged. The goods were exactly as described by the seller and gave an excellent finish to the job. I have no complaints or problems with the overall standard of this product.
Great quality form Hozelock, has lots of different spray options ie sprinkler, jet, slow, fast depending on what you are watering. Easy to hold & use, attaches securely to hose without any leaks. I will keep in the garage over winter in case of frost damage.
Not too sure how well it will stand up to rough use but for the purpose of watering the garden there is enough functionality in the rotating nozzles selection of sprays to suit all of my needs.
One feature I particularly like is the pressure reduction. This is by way of the red slider on the top which slides across reducing the flow. Great for watering hanging baskets and more delicate flowers.
The trigger lock function is also pretty handy when filling up a paddling pool.
Overall, for the price, no complaints and so far it appears durable enough for my uses.
The strength of the jet is adjusted by a little lever on top of the head. I’d have preferred the ability to vary the strength by pulling the handle different amounts (ie the more you squeeze, the stronger the flow).
The price was 13.92 when I bought it (May ’23). Now it appears to be 19 just a couple of months later – I don’t think that higher price represents particularly good value for money.

It’s made almost 100% from hard plastic, with no metal parts (the tap & hose connector has a rubber washer). It has six options of water delivery, from a standard tap-stream to a fine mist, which are selected by rotating the mechanism through click-stops. You may lock the trigger and it will continue to spray until you squeeze again to unlock it.
Because this model is smaller overall, it does not have the power and water delivery volume of the larger sizes on offer from this supplier. Also, there are no hose connectors in the package so you will need to buy those separately.
Several reviewers complain that the product doesn’t last and sooner or later will leak. This is true, and it’s especially vulnerable to low temperatures and frost, when ice can force the plastic to expand and crack it; the only way you can prevent this is to disconnect the spray gun and take it indoors when cold temps are forecast, or at the very least ensure the hose is not left full of water after use, which is then liable to freeze. Of course, you need to be vigilant and remember to do this.
