I started using the AB Roller for the last 3 months and I have been able to see my abs for the first time in my life (also because I was doing a calorie deficit).

It’s a bit tough to get the technique well done when using it, can be quite difficult but once you get the hold of it, just spam it 3-4 times a week doing a 4×12 and you’ll definitely notice it in your abs

Great purchase and I am very happy.

Very solid ab wheel and accompanying mat is great for knees.

Be careful and take your time, don’t force yourself to roll to far , as easy as it looks and may feel, you WILL feel it the next few days.

Start of at a comfortable pace and work your way up.

I definitely see ab definition and my core has strengthened so much more, that ab /Pilates core workout aren’t as terrible to me anymore.

Very good bit of kit any adults over 16/18 stone not as sturdy, but I only had a few goes. It was really brought for my 13-year-old son who wants to get into his fitness. It’s a fantastic bit of kit for him would definitely say this is more for a teenager late teen lad

Love useing this ab wheel as only have a home Jim. Great wheel I’m quite heavy at the moment and seems to be holding up well. Don’t think I will have to replace for ages the handles are comfortable as well but if thea split I will just replace with handle bar grips .

On my first time using an ab roller at the gym I wanted to do 4 sets of 10 reps. I’m fairly fit and was already doing regular core exercises so it couldn’t be that hard. The first rep of the first set was tough but OK. By the third rep it was really starting to hurt. By the fifth I was in agony. By the 8th rep of the first set I had given up and was curled up in a ball crying.

Obviously I immediately bought a roller of my own so I could have the same experience at home.

There is nowhere to hide with this exercise. Your arms won’t help you, it’s all down to your abs. The wheel is fairly small but robust enough. The included foam pad is vital to avoid sore knees. You won’t enjoy this equipment but you will benefit from using it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was pondering one of these for a long time, and after glass of wine (ironically) decided it was time take the gamble. There was a bewildering choice of options for Ab Rollers, but I chose this one based on reviews and price.

Ultimately I don’t think it really matters which one you get as long as it rolls. The roller comes in a few pieces that need putting together. This takes a few seconds really. Slide the wheels onto the bar, then slide the handle grips one either side of the wheels. The grips are friction fit, so no tools or issues to get up and running.

Having 2 wheels is good for me as it provides a little more stability when using. The pad for your knees is useful too, as on a hard floor the ab roller will be quite painful on your knees as you rock forward and back.

So in use, you can really feel how hard this thing makes you work. Starting on knees and rolling out to a good outstretch, for me its really evident how hard my core is working. Subtly different when rolling back up, but after a few sessions of 15-20 reps, the next few days gives me quite a bit of residual muscle ache. This is something I don’t get much from situps, but do from planks.

THe only issue with this (as a lot of negative feedback ahows) a lot of people seem to have trouble poutting this together. If the handles are not pressed on properly, it leaves a gap. A couple of thumps with a piece of wood and/or hammer closes the gap and locks on the handles.
Works well on carpet and very strong. It has a hollow bar but as any engineer will tell you, hollow tune can be as strong as solid bar. Spokes really robust. I don’t see how it’s possible to break it. Great price and the kneeling mat is fantastic. No sore knees. I’d recommend it – if you are willing to build it correctly. Don’t know how good on a wooden floor. Wheels are plastic and no rubber/latex ‘tyre’ but I think it woiuld probably be ok.

My wife was in stitches with me because it bloody hurts when your out of shape and got this to rebuild my abs. It does what it says and it is a lot more sturdier than you think as I am a big lad and I actually thought I would break it with my weight, but it took a pounding from me and the roller is still apart of my gym equipment and still works to this day would recommend it, keep either your wife or husband away as they just laugh at you suffering and at least I made my wee wife laugh with everything that is going on in the world with Covid19 it does bring a little bit of cheer and joy into the household. This is a most for anyone and good price not expensive and does what is says it does, plus make everyone laugh her-ray.

Saw an exercise video and the guy said he only uses an ab roller so I was sold.

Quickly looked on Amazon and this one had some decent reviews for a reasonable price so I ordered. The item comes in a much smaller box than I expected. It took about 30 seconds to assemble it, you do need to have some strength to push the components together.

Once assembled it’s small size doesn’t work against it at all. It’s really effective. It also comes with a small foam knee pad to save your knees.

I did 20 roll-outs and the next day my upper abs were definitely engaged as I could feel it, the good pain you get when you know a muscle group has been worked effectively.

Only one caveat is that I wouldn’t use it on carpet as it seems to quickly flatten it into a groove. Hard floors only.

Great product, my family have been having back problems and we are all active so we researched to find out you need to strength your core to help out back pain, so we bought it and we did 15 minutes a day and after a week my back felt like a lot less pressure has been taken off and we sure definition coming through too. It is stable too and the Mat is a neat addition to help rest your knees. If your into home fitness I would recommend

The product arrived late (no fault of the supplier) – very easy to construct and seems sturdy enough. So far it has functioned well; my only criticism is that I feel the wheels should be 3-4cm larger in diameter in order to make the handles higher off the the ground and therefore allow the back to be more horizontal when using the roller. This is what one finds with rollers used in most gyms and it allows the person to wheel the roller further out and really stretch the core muscles.

This is a new Spin on Ab Exercises quite literally it seems, so a welcome addition to the other Workouts out there and not as hard as it may Look…… OK I sound like an expert and Fitness Fanatic but I’m neither……. lazy if anything but this is a Welcome addition when I can make the Time and Space needed in my Flat for this Floor exercise (Box Flat oK it’s Spacious enough for one) and is a welcome addition to my Stomach Cruncher and Bench Sit Up for Ab exercises as they say Variety is the Spice of Life makes it sound like I’m doing them the whole while, well I’m not but as they say Diet is important to Target as much as exercise but remaining Fit is still essential……. Good Luck with yours!!!!!!!! Sorry I’m way too lazy or still out of shape to offer you a Midriff Shot to confirm it’s effectiveness as I have not been using it as readily as I should but I believe a combination of all that I have mentioned could firm me up (could), you’d think that would be enough motivation!!!!!!!!!! Never underestimate the potential Laziness of another individual…….. Matt provided Generally thick enough if you are worried use a Cushion!!!!!!!!! Less difficult than you expect but after a few you do feel your Abs have been targeted…….. As Spring arrives I’m expecting a New Lease of Life between the Beers Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!

Golden Review Award: 98 From Our UsersThere’s now an innumerable amount of different ab rollers available in the marketplace, I guess because they’ve become a tried and tested way in which to effectively strengthen and build those abdominal muscles. So, I spent a very long time looking at the pros and cons of those being sold on Amazon, before eventually deciding that for my money, this one from H&S was the best available. Now that I’ve had it for a few days, I’m beginning to realise this one was a wise choice.

It arrived nicely packaged in a shallow cardboard box. Inside were two wheels, two handles (one with an inner metal tube). These components simply slide together on that chromed tube in a matter of seconds. A nice feature is that, for travel purposes, they can just as easily be disassembled to lay flat in a suitcase. You also get a decent rectangular floor mat, which is essential for protecting those knees.

By the way, there is no ‘magic’ exercise/machine to give you that sometimes elusive six-pack – using a variety of stomach exercises is key (and doing them in strict style) together with a ‘clean’ diet, and the ability to burn off those calories if you are prone to easily gain weight. The idea is to try and subtly build those abdominal muscles, but at the same time reduce the layer of fat covering them, so they become prominent – giving the washboard effect.

I train in a gym four times each week, and use a stomach crunch machine plus old-fashioned sit-ups at the end of each workout. I bought this wheel primarily to do extra abdominal exercises at home during my days off.

I’ve found this to be an excellent ab wheel and is, in my opinion, better than the ones they let us use at my local gym. I’ve tried it on differing flooring and have found it to have a surprisingly good grip on any surface – I’ve used it on carpet, vinyl, laminated flooring and ceramic tiles. It is VERY IMPORTANT to use this correctly though – that way you’ll avoid potential injury and also achieve optimum results. The supplier sensibly directs buyers to the wikiHow website (ref: Use-an-Ab-Roller) which offers easy-to-understand instructions. There are also many good videos available on YouTube (where would we be without it?) – the two I can recommend are: Ab Wheel Extension by Bodylastics and Ab Wheel For Beginners by Minus The Gym. Use it the right way, and use it regularly and you may well find this is one of the best (and cheapest) investments you’ve ever made. Golden Review Award: 140 From Our UsersVery simple to put together. Solid piece of kit. Warning – unless you have used an ab wheel before take your time in getting it right. There are plenty of videos you can view. Results do not happen over night and unless you are in a calorie deficit you will not get rippling abs. I purchased this wheel has I had used it in the gym I go to. This ab wheel is smaller than another one I own as I wanted progression. I can honestly say it’s harder I do already have a strong core but even so after several reps and sets I was struggling. If you persevere with it you will notice a huge difference within the first month. I have undergone four back operations over several years so I am living proof that if the exercise is performed correctly it won’t hinder any back issues. For anyone who is starting out it is a very cost effective upper body workout but make sure you don’t over do it or make sure you have some paracetamol to hand. Your core will be extremely painful for the first week or so but grit your teeth and work through it and it will subside. Stick with it and you will get abs of steel.
