I am by no means a streaming expert, but we have a bird box in our garden which connects to our TV. However I had no way of viewing this during the day when I was at work so after some googling I found I needed this Video capture card to stream live from my bird box to youtube. Once I downloaded the streaming software and connected the video card the video appeared and the rest is history. Very good quality and also got the card on sale for a great price. For the bird lovers reading this I was able to watch my family of Bluetits fledge in Surrey…..from Austria while away for business 🙂
Still required installation of software in order to function and has a tendency to get very hot when using. Other than that it’s super. Very clear display on the laptop. Instructions were clear enough. Does the job well.
Does the work and is really cheap. I didn’t expect such a good quality but it worked very well and provided a good image while streaming my Nintendo switch game! Would definitely recommend if you don’t want to spend too much on a capture card
I must admit, I was slightly dubious, after seeing that the item was “Made in China,” after being conned in the past with similar looking items. (4 Video input, to USB. Dongle.) However, I needn’t have worried. I plugged it into my secondary PC, then plugged the HDMI into the DVR. The device was immediately recognised by the software. (iSpy Server.) It was so easy to set up. Running iSpy server, on my spare PC. It meant that I was then able to pull up the picture on my main PC. Running iSpy. This gives the option of making the pic a small image in the corner of the screen. After spending what seems like “Months,” trying to get my CCTV as I wanted it. This little device saved the day. I cannot recommend it highly enough…
I can’t comment on the main uses of this product, but it works for what I wanted.
With some googling and stuff, I set up OBS and this little device, and managed to set up my laptop as a monitor for my Nintendo Switch; this gives a much more readable screen size.
I bought this to livestream a cricket match for when we went on tour. It was easy to set up, no issues at all, and the picture quality was great. It streamed for over 6 hours from a laptop set up outside on a hot day, and it stayed cool to the touch throughout. No glitches or problems whatsoever.
I bought this to connect a firestick to my pc. Easy enough to set up once you realise that the software the instructions refer to is OBS Studio. Why they omiited this bit of information I do not know. Obviously translated from Chinese directly to English which did leave me thinking “what???” a couple of times.
All that said it gives good picture quality and is extremely good value for money. Don’t know about reliabilty yet but we’ll see.
You can’t expect amazing quality from this, but for the price it actually shocked me how great it looked. It was easy to set up, and the audio and picture quality was a solid 8/10. The only problem is you keep having to unplug and plug back in each time you use it after shutting your pc down or else it won’t work. For the price though you can’t grumble.
Use for firestick to macbookpro M1 using this as hdmi capture. Software needed OBS is free but very complicated learning curve and lots YouTube searching but worthwhile in end. But the usb to thunderbolt adapter is flimsy junk so I’ve changed to different usb to thunderbolt adapter. Now happy.
Perfect little device to convert my Canon M6MkII DLR into a very high end webcam. Device works perfectly; the biggest issue we setting up the camera to provide the clean image I wanted. I say biggest; just needed to read the camera instruction manual!
I bought this as an alternative to the more expensive capture cards on the market in order to capture footage from my PS4 to play games from it on my PC whilst also talking to and streaming to friends on Discord. This particular capture card works well with OBS studio; you can add separate sources for audio and video inputs for the capture card and you’re good to go for streaming or recording footage. If you plan to play games through the capture card please do be aware that there is some very noticeable latency (half a second to a full second), which could be difficult to play high precision games with (in which case I’d recommend looking into getting a HDMI splitter to play and record/stream simultaneously, but I didn’t bother with this, or go for a more expensive capture card to solve this). Overall, not a bad capture card for the price. Can’t speak for the longevity of it, I’ll just have to see.
Didn’t want to spend 100+ on one of these products so went with this one. The one is perfect at the moment, I’m able to play my Xbox one through my laptop as my monitor broke. Absolutely perfect, will comment again in around a months time if I remember about if it has lasted.
